Monday6800 shares+162Today18400 shares-126I was forcing trades early on and lost around 180 by 9:39. My pnl was seesawing between positive and negative for most of the day. I was down around 36 bucks until I made an aggressive trade in COV at around 2:15. I bought 600 shares at 49. I wasn't too confident so I got out of 200 shares at 49.04. The stock dropped fast and got out of my 400 shares at 48.75. I wanted to make a comeback but I could not find any trades. I also had a hard time trying to stay awake so I guess it is best not to force anything.

My total losers only added up to $55.ASF was my money maker. I took 400 shares and rode it up taking partial profits along the way. If all trades move this fast then trading would be easy. 7000 shares-199I had 2 costly mistakes in the morning which added up to most of my losses today. I did not trade the fertilizer stocks for awhile and today I tried to play them. I spotted TRA going up so I went long MON. Instead of moving up MON continued down lost 46 cents on 100 shares. I thought maybe TRA was going to follow MON and the other fertilizer stocks so I shorted 200 shares of TRA. I got squeezed for 86 bucks as TRA continued up. One good thing is I covered instead of waiting or my loss could have been much greater. I have stopped taking trades like these because they involve to much guess work. I guess my old habits crept back today. I did not catch anything else the for most of the day and lost a bit more.

15000 shares-48I started of slow, but quickly got into trouble. I had a 200 share trade in DHR, and I got squeezed for 50 bucks because I hesitated. The tape was not showing any signs of weakness so I should have gotten out because offers were getting printed and stock wouldn't go down. After that trade I did no make any winning trades. I had losers left and right for 20 bucks a pop. Even though they were small, the commission and losses added up and I was down over $200. I had a trade in AOS and I prayed that it would help me come back. This is one of the worst situations to be in, praying for stocks to move. I was lucky that AOS moved and I held tight. Managed to trim my loss down to around $30. I could not make anything after that and just churned a bit.

The market went down last week, but I find it hard to find good shorts. I think I need to narrow down my focus and trade things that are really moving. I might focus on gaps again instead of sectors. I find myself watching too many things lately and having no conviction in anything. I missed the sell off in the agricultural stocks in the morning. Since I missed such a nice drop, I tried to pick a bottom. I bought 100 shares in TRA and lost 58 cents. I took another whipping by shorting 200 shares of POT, which I thought would make a drop. 10800 shares-257My esignal was slow during the open and I couldn't use my charts. I had CLF as a breakout over 134 so I hit the buy market button for 200 shares when it was breaking the number. I got huge slippage in the trade and was filled at 134.31 average. The stock immediately trades below 134. I held on briefly thinking that it would bounce back higher for me to get out but the stock continued lower. I ended up getting out for a $234 loss. I was too disgusted to even look at CLF again, and that is when it makes its move. After my CLF trade, I took a bunch of small losers and was down $350 for the day. I made a bit back later but could not fully recover.

My two biggest winners were ACI and APD. I noticed that the coal stocks were strong so I took a shot at ACI since it had a little pull back. I got 100 share initially and added 200 more when the stock was acting right.APD was one of the stocks I found last night when I did my homework. Usually I just try to wing it everyday and scramble to find something after the open. I am going to put more effort into finding stocks to trade the following day. I got squeezed on my 500 share short in TEX. When I saw the fertilizer stocks reverse after the morning bounce I thought TEX would have a quick reversal too. I shorted too early and my position was too big. I lost 30 cents in the trade.I took a 30 minute break away from my computer to reset my mind. I was feeling angry and I wanted to make my money back. I came back to trade with 100 share positions. Trading small helped me regain some perspective and I was able to make a $100 back.

11000-120Today's market action was a bit confusing. The market was down overall but commodity stocks were up. I just did not see any nice down moves in my stocks. There was some action in the brokers but I was not watching them. I was down around $100 at noon so I took a break. This kind of action is tough to trade and many of my big losing days came as a result of trading on days like these. In the afternoon I kept my size to 100 shares and I lost a little more.

6800 shares+402I made some money going long TEX and MTW in the morning. I got excellent entries but exited too early. I thought the market would make a quick pull back. I was out of my stocks at around 9:40 and I tried to get back into MTW twice but each time I got in it looked like it would reverse so I took a small hit. After losing $50 I had to stop because nature called. When I got back at 10:30am everything already ripped up. I managed to catch some small moves in TEX and DE on the short side. I did not trade much after that. The market was strong, but it traded in a tight range. I decided to end early.

11200 shares+1113I caught some nice moves on the short side this morning. I caught a short in DE with 400 shares and made 339. At 9:35 I shorted 200 at 78.75, added 200 at 78.42. I covered 200 at 78.01, 100 at 77.56 and 100 at 77.37. I shorted 300 AG with ARCA at 55.75 before it opened for trading and placed a bid at 55. I was filled within a minute and made 75 cents on the trade. I also got a quick hit shorting ACI for $98 on 300 shares. I was up over $650 after these trades before 10am. When the market bounced I started taking trades trying to get some quick action on the long side, but I did not have a firm conviction and had some losers.
