OK, So right now i have 31 Subscribers, 45 people signed up but 14 of them just haven't verified their email. So instead of having 45 subscribers, I have 31.
Even though i tell people that they have to verify their email after they sign up, but i guess some people forgot or just decide they don't want to subscribe.
Either way it's iritating, anyway, not a huge deal and i guess i should just

There are a few basic and important things that make a the big blogs stand out, statistic wise, from all the rest. These are traffic, inbound links, conversions and of course the number of people subscribed to its RSS feed. A blog with let’s say 2000+ readers is a sign that the respective blog is a well established one, with regular readers and is regarded as a authority. It is very important to not underestimated the importance of the feedcount. To help you all increase your feed I’ve devised 9 step ultimate guide that are sure to boost your RSS numbers no matter what, from a few tens of subscribers up to a few hundred.1. Don’t display your subscriber numbers if they’re too low. A common mistake blogging beginners make is displaying they feedburner count when at really low rates.

If a person visits your website and leaves, chances are that he or she will not come back, especially if there are no compelling reasons to do so. After all, we all behave rather impulsively on the Internet, so much so that we can easily forget where we were 10 web pages ago.But the bottom line is that your visitor may not come back to your website again. If 1,000 visitors visit your website, leave and never come back again, you can imagine the amount of potential revenue lost, simply because they do not come back. You could have converted a fraction of the visitors into your customers. Some may say that creating unique content can keep some of the visitors coming back, but very often, unique content is not the solution. The real, long-term solution lies in converting your visitors into sub

This morning, Feedburner seems to be suffering a major glitch in the system. All of my blog feeds have suddenly reduced to zero, and after reading the Feedburner forums, it seems that many others are also experiencing this same problem.First of all, don't panic! You won't have lost all your blog subscribers overnight and most likely this issue will be resolved in just a day or two.I'm keeping an eye on Feedburner's known issues page and will update this post if I hear any news about the sudden subscriber drop.In the meantime, if anyone else has any news about this, please let us know by leaving a comment below.
Redirecting your Blogger feeds through Feedburner is the best way to get accurate results of your subscriber count. Once you've accumulated a few subscribers, you may feel inclined to show off how many people subscribe to your blog. You've probably seen widgets in other blogs which inform you how many people currently are currently subscribing via Feedburner. But how can you go about displaying such a widget in your own blog? There are actually two methods available to display your subscriber count in your Blogger powered blog:
Use a Feedburner Feed Count Widget
Create your own widget (and style to your tastes)In this post, I'll explain the easy method: using Feedburner's default widget to display the number of subscribers to your blog.

Source: iLocus Gadgets powered by Google At the end of December 2007, US had an estimated 16.1 million subscribers while Japan had a total of 15.7 million. Another development that has taken place is that NTT has emerged as the largest retail VoIP service provider in the world. With 5.032 million customers, it overtook Softbank BB in 4Q07 who actually slipped back from 4.8 million subscribers as of end 2006 to around 4.3 million VoIP subscribers. After NTT, therefore, Comcast is number 2 VoIP service provider in the world. In total, there were estimated 64.7 million retail VoIP subscribers worldwide as of end December 2007.
You just have to remember ... "Constant Vigilance!"" Always remember to update your site, try to write a new blurb or article at least twice a week to keep things fresh.
Don't you notice that after every post you make, your subscriber count jumps a little, but then it's all downhill after that.
Sure you can submit your websites to RSS feed directories or services like FeedStub and RSS Submit ..
It seems I wrote too soon, if you haven't read my previous post on How I doubled my RSS Subscriber Count Over night, I can tell you that on sunday night I submitted my feed to over 40 Feed Directories, the following day I had doubled my subscribers. Today however, my subscriber count has almost halved to just above what it was on Sunday, the count has gradually dropped to this over the last few days. I'm not sure why it spiked like that or why it has now dropped back down, it maybe because people subscribed and then realised they weren't interested in the content and unsubscribed I'm not sure.Have any of you tried submitting to all those directories? Did you have an increase in your subscriber account? Did you then get the drop or did you manage to sustain the increase? Please leave a comme
Let me say first of all that I only had 50 subscribers yesterday to start with, so what I did will probably only really make a difference to those people who only have a small number of subscribers. If you've already got 1000's of subscribers I don't think this will make much difference to you, you're certainly not going to double your count like I have.So what did I do to pull this amazing feat off? Well something really simple actually, I just submitted my feed to over 40 Feed Directories, it took about 45 minutes to work down the list, but if this is the result it was time well spent. I'm hoping that this is just the beginning and that the count will continue to grow. Why didn't I do this before? I'd already submitted my blog address to probablly 100's of directories in the past, and to

Ever since I rolled out my new theme, I’ve noticed that my RSS subscriber count seemed to flatline. I’ve been wracking my brain for weeks trying to figure out why, explaining it away to the holidays, normal feedburner fluctuations, etc.
I finally decided to ask my M-Network buddies for their help and plonkee found the problem immediately. Seems my fancy new RSS graphic wasn’t working in Internet Explorer 6 and readers couldn’t subscribe! That would explain it huh? I knew from one of readers (Rob) that the subscription count wasn’t displaying correctly in IE6, but had no idea clicking on the RSS graphic did nothing. I’ve changed the RSS graphic to a more standard format until I can figure out why IE6 doesn’t like my more fancy version.
My apologies to those that were trying to subscribe and couldn’t. I’ve been blogging long enough to know I should check my blog in IE after making any changes (I use Fire
Skellie who writes Skelliewag.org has produced a truly great article about presenting an authoritative blog which I simply had to share with you all. In her article, Skellie explains that the way a blog is presented has a far greater impact than a huge subscriber count, hundreds of comments on each post or boastful articles about making money could ever hope to achieve!"Why traffic, your subscriber count and money doesn't matter" demonstrates than even a novice blogger can develop the web presence of an authority in their subject field by applying simple (yet effective) tactics to their presentation. Skellie calls this "The Matrix Effect", and makes us understand that what is perceived by a reader may not necessarily be the truth!I really enjoyed reading this post, and hope you also find some useful tips to apply to your own blogs. Please take a quick look and leave me your opinions below.
Growth was so slow (and non-monopoly business so tough) in Q2 that two ISPs' subscriber losses were greater than the gains of the remainder. 1 SBC (AT&T) (business and consumer DSL, ISDN, U-Verse, and satellite) 17.3 17.5% 2 Comcast (cable broadband) 12.4 12.6% 3 America Online (all U.S. AOL brand accounts) 10.9 11.1% 4 Verizon (FiOS
This is old news but I thought I will write a small post informing about this new feature in Blogger for the benefit of those who may not know about it. Even if you burn your Blogger feed to Feedburner, some percentage of your visitors may still be reading the Blogger feed. This could happen if they had provided your blog URL (instead of your feedburner feed) to their feed reader and their feed reader auto-discovered Blogger feed. The side effect of this is that your subscriber count will not be accurate. The first useful development of Google buying Feedburner happens to be the new "Feed redirection" feature. Using this, you can redirect your Blogger feed to Feedburner feed. You can do this by going to Settings->Site Feed and providing your feedburner feed URL for redirection (as shown below). If you try this your subscriber count will increase fast than you see.Good luck to you!
There’s been a lot of hoohaa recently in the blogging world about the new way to game people: RSS Feeds. A company by the name of RSSxplosion or RSSjaculation or some other mildly innuendostic name are promoting services where they will increase the amount of RSS Subscribers you have. Not readers, but just raw figures.
Anyway, unsurprisingly, bloggers are up in arms about this. Here are three posts that explain this a billion times better than I can be bothered to do.

Several people have asked me about protection when ghost hunting, so today I'm going to tackle this somewhat controversial subject.
Let's look at a couple of questions I received on this subject…
Melissa asks:
"Do I need protection when ghost hunting? Will I run into evil spirits?"
Unfortunately, people tend to fear what they don’t understand. Hollywood portrays ghosts as negative, harmful creatures—and this causes people to develop irrational fears. The fact is, most ghosts are completely harmless. (...)
If you saw your subscriber count drop precipitously in your Saturday, November 3rd summary from FeedBurner, the reason is that specific subscriber stats from Google Feedfetcher were offline because this service was apparently out late with friends on Friday night, and well, it completely slept through Saturday. It appears to have rallied, however, and amid firm declarations of "I'm never doing that again", Feedfetcher has started diligently reporting subscriber numbers to us, early this morning Pacific Time. FeedBurner publishers' subscriber counts should be closer to what you'd normally expect starting with reports that will be available on Monday morning.
Update II (10-Nov-2007): Hopefully you're seeing Feedfetcher stats again in your subscriber count report for November 9th. Not all feeds may have their numbers back yet, but all should be restored starting with today's numbers, which will be summarized tomorrow morning, 11-Nov, CST.
Update (9-Nov-2007): We are aware that Google Feedfetcher has not reported subscribers for most FeedBurner feeds for the November 8th reporting cycle as well. FeedBurner is in direct contact with the Feedfetcher team and while we know the issue isn't yet resolved, we will post another update to this once we have an answer. Also, just to confirm, there is nothing about your FeedBurner account or feed settings that you should change at this time. Hang in there; we're on the case!

It is 1:20am PST and everyone’s RSS feed subscriber count seems to have dropped heavily just now! Maybe it has to do with the time change but I wonder what happened! Mine dropped by about 30% but other have dropped more than 60%. For example, one of the more popular blogs have dropped from 30k+ to 13k. Yikes. I hope this is fixed soon
In the meantime, maybe it is time to go to sleep.

By: Naz DaudThe leisure business is facing difficult times as members cancel their subscription and are not replaced by the same number of new fitness enthusiasts. A survey by Deloitte in 2006 found that numbers of members fell across the board by close to 55,000. I expect this decline to continue in 2007.Health clubs have now changed forever. Existing members demand clean modern equipment, swimming pool and sauna / steam room. Even the name "Gymnasium" is hardly ever used now with the modern clubs calling themselves fitness centres. No longer are the smaller establishments viable as they compete head on with modern chains. In the seventies many smaller establishments were making decent profits but nowadays do not even think about opening your own gym unless you have a million in your account and a friendly bank manager! Most clubs are now open from 7:00a.m till at least 9:00p.m seven days a week and almost 365 days a year. This means that staffing costs are high and therefore only large

At some point yesterday (Nov 12th, 2007) Google Webmaster Tools got a bit of a redesign. And at least one new feature was added - Subscriber stats. Now you can view the number of users who have subscribed to your RSS feed(s) using Google products such as iGoogle, Google Reader, and Orkut.
Are there any other new features I missed?

If you're currently using an ezine as a way to build your list, and you're frustrated with the trickle of new subscribers you get each month, then you'll want to seriously consider using co-registration as a way bump those numbers up significantly. My own co-registration partnerships have TRIPLED my subscriber numbers in a matter of weeks, so I know first-hand that this process works.
I want to
Since I’ve taken the plunge and actually posted my FeedBurner subscriber badge on the site, it has motivated (more like obsessed) me to work hard at getting more subscribers. Since I’ve been watching this I’ve noticed a trend that is quite interesting. I’ve been hovering in the mid 30s for quite some time now and so last week I decided that I would try to shoot for 40 subscribers by the end of the week. I don’t know why it just seemed like a reasonable goal and something that I wanted to accomplish.
The numbers go up and down a bit and I didn’t think I would make it, but low and behold Saturday morning the number was a big shiny 40 smiling back at me. w00t! Needless to say I was very happy about that. Of course I would have no such luck in sharing this with the working world, because come Monday morning the number actually plummeted to 24. Ouch! That’s almost half.
After a bit of research I realized that the FeedBurner subscriber number is lagg

Last week, my post with the latest Starcraft 2 gameplay videos made it to the front page of the digg video section and received over 450 diggs. As a result, over 10,000 visitors poured in and the next day, my Feedburner count was at 266 (more than double the previous day’s count of 130). A couple days later, the count dropped back to a normal level of ~140.
Here are several theories to explain why this happened:
Theory 1: Real subscribers
People clicked the digg article, liked what they read and subscribed to my feed. The following days, I made a post about ReviewMe and the launch of my ShowoffRankings site and these people that had newly subscribed found out my blog isn’t really about Starcraft and unsubscribed as a result.
I’m sure a few people may have done this but it doesn’t explain the temporary spike. Proof? 3 months ago, I had a post that made it to the first position of the digg top 10 with almost 4,500 diggs and received close to 100,000 hits.

Feedburner's feed count chicklet (widget) is very popular amongst bloggers nowadays. It's almost like a symbol of blogger's reputation and influence in the Blogosphere (possible overstatement)! If you have a lot of RSS subscribers, new visitors will think highly of your blog and what's more important - a lot of them will subscribe to your feed!If you're not satisfied with your subscriber count, there are many ways to increase it - some of them are honest, some are quite sneaky. The honest ways are writing great content, placing the RSS button where visitors can easily spot it, etc.One of the sneaky ways is stealing someone else's feed count. You can learn all about it on the Net Business Blog, but you should know that getting involved with this scheme will eventually lead to you being treated as a con artist, lose your reputation and a lot of your (actual) readers!Another way to inflate your RSS readership requires a lot more work, but there's no risk of getting exposed. The con

Stephan Juhl wrote a post a few days ago claiming that Firefox’s “live bookmarks” feature might be artificially increasing the subscriber count in FeedBurners stats:
A couple of days ago Markus from AU interactive wrote a in blog post that 75% of his blogs feed reader audience uses Firefox Live Bookmarks. He then goes on to conclude that it's because of when a feed is shown Firefox then Live Bookmarks is the default feed subscription method. I do think that Markus is somewhat correct in his assumptions on "the power of the default' getting a lot of people to use Live Bookmarks for feeds. The problem is that his Feedburner stats is probably way of.
Firefox is requesting/prefetching a feed if it's just correctly listed in the HTML head of a requested page. So it means that whenever someone visits your blog through a Firefox browser they'll also request your RSS feed. Feedburner seems to counts a lot of the unique users' requests of feeds which leads your Fee
