This is one of those Lifehacker type of tips my wife discovered a few years ago. Problem, we have a play house I built for our kids a few years back that attracts bees, nesting birds and other pests. We would have to clean out the structure every few days to keep the pests from taking over. The solution to problem was stunningly simple. Spray the interior of the structure with OdoBan. Just like the queue of the real world, the data that goes first into the queue is the first one to be retrieved. That is why queues are sometimes called as First-In-First-Out data structure. Now, people borrowing home loans will have to ensure their home to be earthquake resistant, as per the new guidelines released by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Such a decision has been taken by the authority to strengthen collateral security. It will also prevent the borrower against parking fund into substandard properties. Banks have been asked to consider the fulfillment of seismic safety before lending home loan for construction of multistoried buildings. NDMA has already sent copies containing new guidelines to the Ministry of Finance (MoF), which will forward it to the Reserve Bank of India for insurance. Buildings whether residential or commercial (multiplexes, bridges, hospitals, and other important significant structures whose completion is after June 30, 2007 will have to comply with new earthquake resistant design, as per the guidelines released by the authority. People owning apartments in illegal buildings in townships of Kalyani, Dombivli and Mira- Bhayander will require to pay twice the amount of property tax as fine. The major locations in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) can therefore turn out to be a prohibitive choice. The state’s Urban Development Department has decided to lay down the penalty as a ‘distinctive’ to the increasing number of illegal establishments coming up in townships and urban areas of the state. The state cabinet has approved an amendment to the Bombay Provincial Development Municipal Corporation Act, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation Act and the Maharashtra Municipal Councils Act, and made for the penalty in principle. The legislature will consider over the amendments in the monsoon session and then made applicable in the state.
