Last week I visited Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. This time my experience was completely different. The entire park has turned green and there is no sign or remnants of the long cold winter the preserve experienced a few months ago. I'm just back from 5 days exploring Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes in beautiful Patagonia with my brother who was visiting Argentina for 2 weeks. The first day of the trip, we rented bikes and headed on a cycle, 16kms out of town to look at sea lions and 16kms back. For people who aren't overly active, it wasn't going to be that easy and in retrospect, given the gale force winds was probably a little ambitious.After some navigation problems were worked out, we were on our way. The terrain on the way out started on asphalt but eventually became rough with lots of stones, dirt, hills and sand, so wasn't that easy. I am blogging this incident a little less than 24 hours since the thunder storm wrecked havock on Dallas area. I slept fitfully, unperturbed while the thunderstorm ran amok and destroyed everything that came in its way. Some homes lost roofs others had their chimney caps blown away. While some trees were mauled others were mercilessly uprooted by the raging winds. Sometimes I wonder about the weather in Texas, it is supposed to be summer and should be hot as hell. But here if it is hot one day the next day it will be cold and windy and then followed by days of rain, not just water but hail stones pelting down at great speed. The weather could be likened to the mind of a fickle individual, on one thing now and another in the next moment. Let us see what the next couple of months will bring,
