A German court has decided to grant T-Mobile exclusive rights to sell the iPhone in Germany, overturning a temporary injunction granted against the operator two weeks ago.Vodafone won a temporary injunction against T-Mobile, forcing it to start selling unlocked iPhones. T-Mobile did so, but at a price of $1,460. The price of an iPhone on a 24-month contract at T-Mobile Germany is $582. Now that the injunction has been overturned by the Regional Court of Hamburg, T-Mobile has stopped selling unlocked iPhones. Sales are down, prices are up, and even though there’s a massive “credit crunch”, the average days on the market for September of 2007 is 37, which means that homes, in this “crappy, scary, collapsing” market are actually selling 4 days faster than last year where the average days on the market was 41.
All in all… the market in San Francisco is cyclical. It goes up, it goes down, and then it goes back up again. January sales increase, they slow down in Spring, pick up at the end of Spring and beginning of summer, the late summer months are slow, and then September and October sales typically jump before taking a break for November and December, when we start all over again with another upswing in January.

We all know that the workplace can be very dangerous when working with heavy machinery, and we are sad to say that a worker has died at the Ford’s Wayne assembly plant. The accident took place on the final assemble line where the Focus is built.
There is no information as to what caused the accident, but The Detroit News reported that the Ford Wayne Stamping and Assembly Plant were immediately shut down. The death is such sad news for friends and family of the worker, and the fact that the plant was celebrating the first run of 2008 Ford Focus this week.

If you haven't already heard the news, the senate has voted 75-23 to block funding for a highly controversial program that would allow Mexican freight trucks to roam US soil. The original legislation for the program was created in 1995 under NAFTA (thank you Mr. Clinton), but has been met and held off by stringent opposition by teamsters, other businesses and law-makers alike. The program actually began this month with a few trucks gaining authorization to go beyond traditional checkpoints, but the latest senate vote has stopped the program from going any further at the moment. It should come as no surprise that President Bush wasn't happy to hear the results of the vote, nor was the leader of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, John Hill, who called the vote "a sad victory for the politics of fear and protectionism." A victory yes, but it was not sad. All representatives from border states, with the exception of John McCain who did not vote, voted against the program.

I think it’s a mark 1 version as it doesn’t have Bluetooth on it. Opening the box revealed the phone, earphones, a USB cable and a 256mb microSD card. That’s it. No manual. No software for syncing with Outlook. Spent 10 minutes figuring out how to open the back and eventually found that there are some videos on Youtube which give a pretty good demo of how to do the hardware stuff. Stuck an old SIM card in it and the memory card and attached the USB cable and it immediately started charging.
When connected to the PC via the USB cable the ifone’s memory appears as another device to the PC so it’s easy copying videos and music to it.
There are some demo videos and tracks on it so that you can see how they work. The video by default displays in portrait mode and you need to click on an on-screen icon to flip it to landscape mode.

The most popular vacation destinations in the Caribbean and Mexico are not being visited thanks to the category-four hurricane dean.
In the direct path of hurricane dean are Jamaica and the Cayman Islands which see Airlines and holiday companies canceling people’s flights and holidays to these destinations.
This is leaving many holiday makers very disappointed as they have booked their holiday months in advance and now they have to either re-book elsewhere or not go anywhere.
I guess they can also be thankful that they were not on holiday when hurricane dean hits as that would be a much worse story.
Airlines are also bringing in more flights to get tourists out of Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Dominican Republic and Cozumel.
It’s a sad fact that many of these places like Cancun/Cozumel and the Cayman Islands have not long rebuilt after they were heavily damaged by other recent hurricanes.

A long time not getting on the bike but it doesn’t matter at all…
So we went to Sololá and after 9kms of fun, hard and tricky descent Werner crashes with some bigs stones… the tire gets broken and all messed up… still at least 20kms left… Maybe the picture doesn’t show it well but the tire is all skewed.
We were lucky to replace the tire after the following 5 kms of descent WITHOUT one of the brakes… Yeah, some falls on muddy terrain and then some lunch.
Still to much left to do. The complete route is about 28kms, the uphill wait for us and there we go.

Asda has received some bad news; they will not be allowed to sell the new Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book. Bloomsbury, the publisher of the popular Harry Potter books has stopped the supermarket chain which is owned by Wal-Mart from selling the book as they have not paid the publisher yet.
Asda are assuring their customers that they hope to resolve the situation, which has been caused through an argument by the publisher price tag of £17.99. Ed Watson, a spokesperson from Asda told BBC Radio Five Live that he was not aware that the Harry Potter book deal had even been cancelled, he then went on to say that he feels that Bloomsbury cancelled Asda’s order as they have criticised the pricing of the book.

I was fortunate enough to catch up to them at IHOP prior to their next city. Is IHOP sponsoring them? Perhaps they have it on GPS as Favorites.
Anyway, they have definitely made a name for themselves as being one of the best in real estate blogging. We generally talked about how our industry is benefiting from blogs. And how to network with other Realtors on sharing technology, ways to communicate and follow-up with clients and prospects.

Monday 9, 2007- 3:15pm Interstate 81 mile marker 331. A black pickup truck towing a camper on the back wrecked and caused the interstate to be closed down for over 3 hr. The driver Ray Lemay and his wife Cecile Lemay in the passenger seat where sent to AMC, both with non life threatening injuries. The accident happened when Mr. Lemay went to change lanes and did not see a car in his blind spot he hit his brakes causing him to lose control of the truck.
