Clinton Stooges singing Fox News’ praises?
By Robert Greenwald It is deeply detrimental to the longterm interests of democracy when Democrats praise and support FOX News. This would be true regardless of who that Democrat is, but it’s particularly heinous when Terry McAuliffe, the former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, is singing their praises. “Let me congratulate FOX,” McAuliffe said [...]

Irish democracy hijacked by EU and its Irish stooges!
If you ever wondered how undemocratic the EU can be, then just reflect on how they simply HATE referendums. They much prefer the dodgy types like Berlusconi, a man who can win elections even if half the state prosecutors want him in jail!So the EU mandarins have turned their gaze towards Ireland, where a referendum is to take place on the Constitutional Treaty that is supposed to be something else! They have helped to try to fix the outcome by "suggesting" it would be a good idea if Bertie Ahern went before the poll took place. Daniel Hannan poses this on his Telegraph blog. Why did Bertie Ahern stand down as Ireland’s Prime Minister? Alright, because he is facing corruption allegations, but why did he resign now? The Guardian’s Henry McDonald, who knows a thing or two about Irish polit

The History and Popularity of the Three Stooges
The Three Stooges are known around the world by people of all ages. The Three Stooges are most commonly known for their extremely funny and comical short films. Throughout the history of the Stooges a lot of changes have occurred; however, even though they are no longer in existence the popularity of the Three Stooges is still as high as ever. The Three Stooges developed in the early 1930’s with the help of a man named Ted Healy. Ted Healy was one of the original Three Stooges. This is the time when the character of Curly was first developed. After a number of years together the new Three Stooges, Larry, Curly, and Mo, decided to end their partnership with Mr. Healy. After parting ways with Ted Healy the remaining Three Stooges partnered up with Columbia pictures to produce a number of short films. Their short films would typically last around twenty minutes; however, the length of the each short film often varied. By 1960 the Three Stooges had developed almost two hundred short film

      The Three Stooges
Larry, Moe, and CurlyI had to steal this picture from Shana because I haven't really taken any photos of the kids lately. It's been busy, busy, busy!! You know how it is when Thanksgiving holiday is a couple of days away. There's so many things going on and I am just glad I don't have to host Thanksgiving and cook turkey dinner (no one in their right mind would want to eat it anyway if they found out I made it). My family and I never really celebrated Thanksgiving (since it's not a Filipino tradition) so I have sort of gotten away without hosting the dinner. I know I will have to sometime - I shudder at the thought (ha-ha!).Black Friday is coming up too and I am debating on whether I should even venture out that day. The last time I went shopping on Black Friday was a few years ago with John's cousins. We were there for TWELVE hours!! We got to pose with a hunky Abercrombie & Fitch model (gotta look for that picture somewhere), and I even got on the local news because they we

      The Four Stooges
September 26, 2007 A mish mosh of modalities dominate today. A Grand Cross is formed by aspect, but not by modes, as cardinal Sun in Libra and the Moon in Aries form challenge aspects to mutable Mars in Gemini and Pluto in Sagittarius. Cardinal signs initiate action, while mutable signs react to their circumstances. The reaction is one of irritability in the face of challenges. The Aries moon desires to rush to action, without considering the consequences to others, while the Libra Sun wants to evaluate the effect of the action on others. Gemini Mars wants to talk about it, but goes on and on in typical fashion, never reaching a point. Pluto in Sagittarius wants us to “get” the lesson, but we’re not sure what the lesson is. Would it be “How to Annoy People in Ten Easy Lessons”? Its like watching a Three Stooges routine, as they slap each other around, only there are four stooges today. (more…)

      The Stooges en 1970

      The Stooges - Funhouse(1970) 320kbps The Stooges'...
The Stooges - Funhouse(1970)320kbpsThe Stooges' first album was produced by a classically trained composer; their second was supervised by the former keyboard player with the Kingsmen, and if that didn't make all the difference, it at least indicates why Fun House was a step in the right direction. Producer Don Gallucci took the approach that the Stooges were a powerhouse live band, and their best bet was to recreate the band's live set with as little fuss as possible. As a result, the production on Fun House bears some resemblance to the Kingsmen's version of "Louie Louie" -- the sound is smeary and bleeds all over the place, but it packs the low-tech wallop of a concert pumped through a big PA, bursting with energy and immediacy. The Stooges were also a much stronger band this time out; Ron Asheton's blazing minimalist guitar gained little in the way of technique since The Stooges, but his confidence had grown by a quantum leap as he summoned forth the sounds that would make him

The Stooges - The Stooges (1969)320kbpsWhile the Stooges had a few obvious points of influence -- the swagger of the early Rolling Stones, the horny pound of the Troggs, the fuzztone sneer of a thousand teenage garage bands, and the Velvet Underground's experimental eagerness to leap into the void -- they didn't really sound like anyone else around when their first album hit the streets in 1969. It's hard to say if Ron Asheton, Scott Asheton, Dave Alexander, and the man then known as Iggy Stooge were capable of making anything more sophisticated than this, but if they were, they weren't letting on, and the best moments of this record document the blithering inarticulate fury of the post-adolescent id. Ron Asheton's guitar runs (fortified with bracing use of fuzztone and wah-wah) are so brutal and concise they achieve a naïve genius, while Scott Asheton's proto-Bo Diddley drums and Dave Alexander's solid bass stomp these tunes into submission with a force that inspires awe. And

The Jackal & the Three Stooges
General Hospital started the "three suitors" for Lulu storyline before February sweeps. It started out full of humor (and at times still is), A misfit* like Lulu has not just one but 3 guys who not only LIKE her but REALLY like her. It was funny. Slowly though Spinelli has become separate from Dillon & Milo in relation to Lulu. Lulu & Spinelli share secrets, have been through multipliable life & death situations, and they have shared tender moments. It makes Milo & Dillon seem foolish by thinking they are on the same level as Damian. (sorry boys that ship sailed) *I realize misfit maybe a surprising word to use but I personally still consider Lulu the same (though she has grown) misfit she was a year ago.http://bradfordanderson.net/

Iggy & the Stooges complete comeback album
The Stooges have completed their first new album in more than three decades, Iggy Pop has confirmed. The legendary punk icons recorded the LP with Steve Albini in Chicago this year, and it is now scheduled for release in March 2007. Speaking about their first new material in 33 years, Iggy said: "The one thing that kind of amazes me is that it sounds like us. But it doesn't sound quite like Fun House, Raw Power, or our first one. You put it on, and right away, you'd know, well, that's them. There they go." Among the 16 tracks set for inclusion on the album, which will be mixed in London next month, are "The Weirdness," "You Can't Have Friends," "ATM," and "Trollin'," reports Billboard. Iggy Pop & the Stooges will play the Sonic Youth-curated "Nightmare Before Christmas" show at the Butlins Holiday Camp in Minehead, England in December.

      Number 980 - The Stooges
Number 980The Stooges"I Wanna Be Your Dog"(1969).. .Genre:AlternativeAhh ...the legendary Iggy Pop, this pop icon is as durable as the Bowie icon. These guys never age! While my life has scurrying entered my 40s faster than a MACH 5 Jet, and yet Iggy has hardly aged and he still has abs! Good grief he was born in 1947 that makes him.. um .. Where's my abacus? 59 ! Someone better tell him. If Neil Young is the Grandfather of Grunge then The Stooges must be the Grandfathers of Punk."1969," "I Wanna Be Your Dog," "Real Cool Time," "No Fun," and other classic rippers are on board, and one listen reveals why they became clarion calls in the punk rock revolution. Part of the fun of The Stooges is, then as now, the band managed the difficult feat of sounding ahead of their time and entirely out of their time, all at once. ~ Mark DemingNicely put Mr Mark Deming (I would never usually agree with a "expert", but i find Deming an exception)For Neil Young see Number 938 & Number 677Rolling Stone
