Everyone needs a break right? Hie guys! It's been a while since I last posted (relatively speaking) right? The last one was about Frodo and Gandalf using email right! In fact this few days while I was at the comfort of my home, I read Tolkien's The Hobbit. Haven't finish it yet, but it's very entertaining! My son, which I will now call ER and no, it does not stand for Emergency Room even though he's seen enough of them -- my son and I just returned home from grocery shopping. We visited our neighborhood store, one we have been shopping at for nearly eight years. All the staff knows us there and even though it's one of the more expensive places to shop, I appreciate being recognized and asked, "How's your family? Where's your other son?" Personal touches always impress me. However, the stares from customers do not.Why must they stare? So why is it that people here stare at my adopted black son so much? There is something I want to refer to as the Slovak stare. "Stare"Completed: 12.7.07colored pencil on paperI kind of had a different idea for today's artwork, but this is what came out! Taken from a reference photo I took, I created a quick, stylized sketch. It actually took me around 35 minutes for this one, instead of the whole hour. I thought about adding more on the side, but realized after looking that I should not. More tomorrow! Hopefully by the end of next week, I will be ready to post the first piece from the collection I am working on. I have quite a few projects going on right now! :)Shannon

I already wrote earlier this week about how JB racked up his fourth DUI so I am not going to cover it again. I just thought this picture was hilarious because he is obviously wasted. I decided to read The New York Times today and could not figure out if I was reading a news story or an editorial. The title was, “Precedents Begin to Fall for Roberts Court.” It started with the asinine statement, “No Supreme Court nominee could be confirmed these days without paying homage to the judicial doctrine of “Stare Decisis.” What a bunch of nonsense. Linda Greenhouse, the journalist/ignorant pundit who wrote the story, also stated that Roberts and Alito told the Senate they would obey precedent, also a blatant lie. They actually said they would obey precedent if it were meant to be obeyed. Moreover, they spent most of their time at the confirmation hearings being silent about how they would rule in certain cases.
