Viggo Mortensen Rumoured To Play Poe In Stallone’s Biopic
There’s a new unconfirmed casting rumour doing the rounds. No, it’s not for Star Trek (surprisingly) but Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming biopic, Poe. Apparently Stallone has approached Viggo Mortensen and offered him the title role. It is said that Mortensen is seriously considering the role, although he wants some slight script changes made. The film is scheduled to go into production next year. It chronicles the life of the legendary writer up until his mysterious death in 1849. I think Mortensen is a great choice for the role, he’s a fantastic actor and I’m sure he’ll bring a lot to the table. Robert Downey, Jr, was once in talks to play Edgar Allan Poe and Milo Ventimiglia was a popular choice, having played Rocky’s son in Rocky Balboa. Stallone will be directing the film from a script he wrote himself. Do you think Viggo Mortensen would be a good choice for the film? Written by Lucy for Product ReviewsIn Sections: Film News, News

      Stallone's Death Wish
Veteran action star Sylvester Stallone sure is keeping himself busy these days. He both starred and directed 2006’s Rocky Balboa, as well as 2008’s Rambo. Now he’s getting ready to remake Charles Bronson’s 1974 hit, Death Wish, and yes, he will direct it as well as play the main role of Paul Kersey. For those too young to remember Death Wish, it’s about an ordinary man whose life gets turned upside down when his wife is brutally murdered and his daughter raped, turning him into a merciless vigilante. I believe it was rated R. The remake should go into production next March.

      Stallone to Remake Death Wish
Sylvester Stallone is interested in remaking the 1974 vigilante classic Death Wish. The original starred Charles Bronson as a mild-mannered architect who goes on a brutal mission of justice after his wife and daughter are raped and/or murdered. MGM is hoping to begin production in March if the writers strike is settled in short order. In that event, the script will be written by Michael Ferris and John Brancato. [more]

      Sylvester Stallone and Growth Hormone
This is one interesting piece of news I just read. It seems that Sylvester Stallone was charged with importing an illeagal growth hormone under the form of a drug called Jintropin. To his defense, the "Rocky" star and in my opinion a former great body has declared that he did not know the drug was illegal. He was caught in Australia holding 48 vials of this hormone. It does seem a lot doesn't it? The fact is that it seems he has a medical condition that he treats using hormones for quite a long time. Although it looks like nobody knows what he is suffering from, the excuse will probably not make him escape a fine that could reach a maximum of $36,000. Stallone declared to his defense that:Never ever was it my intention to breach the laws and I realise that I should have properly informed myself about your customsTo read the entire story go read the article on SMH.COM

MILLIONAIRE SECRETS - The Commitment Of Sylvester Stallone
THE COMMITMENT OF SYLVESTER STALLONESurely, one of the best examples of the power of commitment and how 'doing whatever it takes will get you what you want' is the story of Sylvester Stallone. At his peak, Stallone was one of the most popular and highly paid stars in Hollywood, commanding a fee of US$20 million per movie. was he just born under a lucky star? Was he naturally talented actor? Was he at the right place at the right? Hardly. He was someone who seemed to have all the odds stacked up against him.His family was so poor that his mother had to give birth to him on the doorsteps of a school. A blotched delivery by students caused a facial nerve to be severed, leaving him paralyzed on the right side of his face. As a result, Stallone had to live the rest of his life with slurred speech. He even had to deal with having drooping lower lip and being made fun of because of his name 'Sylvester' (associated with the Looney Tunes cat). Despite all these limitations, young Stallone d

Italy (ABSP) - Associated BS PressThe recent announcement by Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes of a November 18th wedding in Italy has already resulted in some unintended negative consequences. Frank Stallone, brother of the legendary star of Rocky, Rambo, Cobra, and The Party at Kitty and Stud's, has had to cancel his long-anticipated wedding to Italian prostitute Bella. Younger brother of the more famouser and bestest actor in the world Sylvester, Frank Stallone has struggled to gain credibility as an actor. Lacking talent, looks, diction, and other skills common among actors and sentient beings, Frank has barely eked out a living in Hollywood. Sylvester Stallone's comeback
A very interesting article has came up here about the stars who in 2007 will make they comeback. The first one is Sylvester Stallone. In the sixth installment of the "Rocky" series, titled "Rocky Balboa," Sylvester Stallone returns the film to the character's humble Philly roots. Long ago I liked lots of stars from this list. I liked "Tango & Cash" or even "Oscar", and I liked (as young teenager) Rambo :) - although it was banned in our country, we watched this films in bad quality - with Sylvester Stallone. Sylvester Stallone was our hero - against the soviet oppressor! We were very proud of ourselves to watch this banned and ridden Stallone films. We made copies about lots of bad quality Stallone films with our bad video recorder, if someone could get one. But I hated Rocky, I remember it was very boring for me (but I don't like sport films about fictitious sport "heroes"). I won't watch Rocky Balboa. technorati tags: Sylvester Stallone Rocky Balboa film comeback
