Really, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing right now.You see, the latest data from the RMLS shows that housing inventory in Portland is now at 8.3 months. This represents November's activity and is a very slight drop from October's 8.4 months and September's 8.6 month supply.The bad news, if you will, is that inventory is pretty high for Portland. Homes are taking longer to sell. It's a buyers' market. The good news, I guess, is that inventory actually went down in November when it typically and traditionally goes up. I'm a bit surprised the number of homes for sale went down last month.And just a reminder, having 8.3 months of inventory means that if no other homes were listed for sale it would take 8.3 months for the supply to dry up.  Olympia is a wonderful 7 year old thoroughbred mare. She is trained English, but I have ridden Western as well. We do a little arena work (dressage) and ride hunter jumper in the winter months. We also lead the NNMHA ridge rider trail rides. She is very gentle and friendly. My 12 year old daughter rides her as well. I am looking for a caring intermediate or better rider to share. The good news continues...this week has been pretty similar to last except that my floating profit/loss is in the positive at the close. A small gain but nonetheless a step in the right direction. We started the week at Plumpton with James Street. He ran too freely early on without any cover and then was one paced at the finish to run an okay fourth – he generally jumped well, and runs today at Cheltenham in what looks a very strong race. We had three runners at Lingfield Saturday where Hucking Harmony came up against a good horse from Richard Hannon’s in Cake, but still ran well to finish fourth. She will surely find a race soon. Her next race will probably be in the Hilary Needler at Beverley on 30 May. This is a fillies’ Listed race that Hucking Hot was third in last year. She’ll then hopefully go to Royal Ascot for the Queen Mary. King After again ran well to finish fourth – he’s just so consistent and runs again on Friday at Lingfield, this time over seven furlongs which may prove a little short for him now.
