Is there such a thing? I’ve been researching Squidoo for sometime now and I have found various schools of thought on the subject. It used to be that you used the YouTube module, the Flickr module and some text and you would get decent juice. Since the Google Slap in July, more is needed now. I have found that, just like everything else with Google, that you need good content with good keyword placement in your content to get the juice. Nothing new there. So what is the best Squidoo Lens template? Seems as if 3+ text modules definitely helps. Remember that images with good image names also play a role in getting good SEO. That applies to Squidoo as much as it would a “normal” webpage. Adding images to your Squidoo lens is very easy. Yesterday was Squidoo Payday. Full details are posted on Captain Squid but here’s the breakdown for what I will be paid this month: Sept. Squidoo money earned (paid out yesterday Nov, 7) : $120 Oct. Affiliate Commissions (will be paid  around the 20th): $160 All in all, Squidoo is actually starting to produce some alternative income for the work. I made me a Christmas lens at Squidoo which will have useful links for wholesome holiday activities for the entire family and to drive traffic to my Christmas shirt designs. I’d appreciate all the views it can get and links. The current list was more than one item , I’d save and they would disappear, I had edited it to be Holiday activities like crafts, recipes, and carols. Squidoo Released their monthly payment for June last night (Squidoo payments have a 60 day lag time in them). The result? $12.69 This represents a 6-fold or so increase over last month’s $2 payout which is not too shabby. It’s becoming a little more clear how Squidoo is structuring their Adsense payouts. They are weighting it based on a ranking system into 3 tiers. The top 5-10% get the big boy dollars, the next 20% or so get enough to eat, and the rest of the published lenses get a relatively small amount. Example: July Payout Tiers $3.80 $0.65 $0.05 August Payout Tiers $5.99 $1.03 $0.06 In this payout I had probably 10-15 lenses that got paid. The Lens on my Truck earned the highest tier, and 4 or 5 others earned the middle tier. The rest were the pennies group. Moving forward, it looks like I may have anywhere from 1-5 lenses in the top tier next payout with a whole slew of em in the middle tier… The Lens Building will continue until morale improves…. I
