They also printed for tourism, with Liz doing pen-and-ink drawings for what was upgraded to a hand-fed Victorian power platen press, up the hill in Damaoidh. They produced their first 'Islay Calendar' in 1976. Square Object Is Revealed Following on from the last post I mentioned that we had a square object at the back of the new orchard area, and that I would reveal what it is. If you haven't already guessed it is a Habitat tower The tower itself is made from 6 pallets placed on top of each other. The gaps that are then created I have filled with various items. These range from bricks, roof tiles, drainage pipes, rolls of turf, logs, branches, teasel stems and leaves. All these items were then placed into the spaces creating all sorts of habitats for any creature that wishes to use it.
