The next game series to transcend from a video game to the big screen will be the purple and adorable Spyro the Dragon. According to a report today in Variety, The Animation Picture Co. picked up the film rights from Sierra Entertainment and is planning to turn Spyro into a 3D CGI feature film.Writers Steve and Dan Altiere (Dr. Dolittle 4 and 5) will pen a script based around the recent Legend of Spyro games, which are being planned as a trilogy. The most recently released game in that series was last week's Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night for the Wii, PS2, DS and GBA.Spyro will be The Animation Picture's third feature film; the company just finished Garfield Gets Real with Garfield creator Jim Davis. Considering that the Legend of Spyro game developers hired some big name Hollywood voice talent for their titles -- namely actors Elijah Wood, Billy West and Gary Oldman voicing Spyro, Sparx and Ignitus, respectively -- I would wager these individuals may be contacted to do the film.
Sono un sensitivo: nel post precedente, pubblicato questa mattina, parlavo di Spyro… Ed ecco che la Vivendi pubblica fresco fresco un nuovo episodio per cellulare di Spyro! Come aspetto siamo vicini al già bellissimo episodio precedente (e, per fortuna, lontani dal terribile primo episodio in grafica isometrica) e come storia partiamo proprio dal punto in cui ci eravamo fermati. Certo, si tratta di un platform a struttura classica (con ben 19 livelli), ma è un vero gioiellino di grafica e divertimento!

If you purchased either Spyro 2 or MediEvil from the European PlayStation Network, Sony will be issuing you a refund some time in the next week.Apparently, fixing whatever technical difficulties prompted the removal of both games from the store is proving a bit trickier than Sony had originally hoped, so rather than asking you to wait for them to replace your wonky version with a working one, they're wiping the slate completely clean. Once your money is refunded to your Store wallet, the broken games will be removed from your download list.
