While on vacation in Hawaii, former 24 star Elisha Cuthbert let it slip that the producers of the popular action/thriller had been tinkering with applying the 24 format to a story that’s both romantic and comedic. Cuthbert suggested that the producers set the show during a college spring break, which provided her the necessary leeway [...]
I've been getting quite lazy recently. I filled my giant office bin with paper, CDs and other crap about 3 weeks ago but instead of disposing of it I decided I'd start to fill an empty cardboard box and then get rid of it all later on. Problem is, once I finished that box I started a second. And when that was finished, a third appeared. So there I was, in a small loft conversion of an office with an overflowing bin and three boxes full of junk, leaving hardly enough room for me and my collection of empty glasses which I was too lazy to take down to the kitchen. At this stage, any normal person would have chucked the lot but not me, oh no. I simply started to fill my seat with rubbish. So for the past few days I've been sitting here, perched on the edge of my chair spewing screwed up pieces
I've been so busy since we got back from Egypt. Believe it or not, I haven't had much time on my computer. I've finally uploaded some of our photos from Egypt--100 of them--to share with you.You can see them here. And I forgot to tell you! While we were in Sharm El-Sheik, I ate pigeon...and it was good.So there you have it. Egypt. Wrapped up.
This week is Spring Break and we have had more than Spring-like weather here in New York. Today it felt like the middle of summer. The sun warmed my skin and eased my muscles so that I walked along, with my daughter, as though I was a kid again, carefree, smiling, and free. We spent the afternoon in a picturesque nearby town, ate gelatto, walked miles (it seemed) and came home with a riproaring appetite for tonight's supper of fajitas. My husband and son were thrilled when we laid out all the fixings on the table, and Harry waited hopefully by my feet in case anything was dropped. But nothing came his way. We ate it all.Monday I am taking my son to visit one more college and then he is making his final decision. Spring is here, summer is on its way, then college starts in late August, and
Hear about those teenage girls down in Polk County, Florida who ganged up on their friend and beat the shit out of her? It was done in retaliation because the victim was goading them; had said something on her MySpace that the girls didn’t like, and they wanted to punish her. The [...]
Blogging will be more irregular for the next week or so while I’m out of town for spring break. I’m sure I’ll get on from time to time. If anything really major happens while I’m away from a computer I even set up a program which uses voice recognition to post to a blog from [...]
With many places to visit and see, it’s quite hard to decide on a vacation spot when everyone has a mind of his own. Traveling with teenage kids can be both fun and stressful cos this is the age where they have their own preferences and do not like to be told what to do. [...]
Even on vacations, I still seek to expand my mind. This time, I learned the difference between herons and egrets: there is no difference between herons and egrets. Just as I suspected! Here's a great white heron (also called a great egret) perched near our boat at Burnt Store Marina.I will never get over sailboats. I love them. And true love lasts a lifetime. This osprey had to be my favorite of the thousands of birds I saw this week. He literally sat on this branch for over an hour making funny faces and letting me as close to him as the terrain would allow."The Little Fisherman" -- another shot to add to my "Strangers' Kids" collection.Heading to the beach at Boca Grande to play in the sun and people-watch.Click any pic for a link to my Flickr page.
We spent Spring Break visiting my parents in West Virginia. Here are the things I have learned.
1. When you tell a 15 year-old to go ahead and pull the trigger on a BB gun that "might" be cocked, make sure you tell him to point it AWAY from a window, otherwise he'll feel quite strongly that he wasn't to blame (at all) for shooting a hole through it, even though he was the only person
Somehow I didn’t think Spring Break would affect me this year. My kids are long out of school, but I’ve been constantly reminded of the time of year because of friends whose kids are off on vacation, or teacher friends who have had the week off or the increased volume of families in the airports. This has been a wonderful week for me. I’ve been off from work all week, spending spring break at home with my family. The weather has been absolutely wonderful here in the southeast. The temperatures tomorrow are supposed to be in the 80s!!
This week, we’ve worked on the house [...]
I have a bad habit of buying a new toy such as a camera lens before going on vacation. I also tend to buy a lot on line, generally without problems, but did experience a dishonest company today which I’ll get to below. I have contemplated adding posts talking about many of the gadgets I [...]

This is going to be a lot of fun!! NOT!! My kids are home for the whole week so I might not be able to get online very much. I have ordered a wireless router so that we can be on our computers at the same time with our broadband, but I do not know when it will be here!! I hope today! I ordered it Tuesday hoping that it would be here in time for spring break. I have been doing some sewing ~~ You can see my first cloth diaper HERE It is not perfect, but this one if just for personal use!! MY cut is all healed up now, but my finger still aches. The doctors says that is where the glass that cut me hit the bone!! YUCK! I have a pretty ugly scar on my finger. I used to work in a chicken house vaccinating chickens, so it just goes along with all of the other scars!
Our campus was empty this week, but we were busy bees in our office!
We are full swing into our spring event season and I’m stressing over coordinating a very large event next week. Over 650 invitations were sent out, but with the early break and Easter holiday our numbers will be low. It’s a bummer [...]

My spring break is now through the next week. Since my school is strange and I already had a week off in February which I used to travel to Cancun I’m just going to spend this week at my mom’s house. I can’t really justify taking a vacation both weeks when I’m earning very little [...]
One problem with traveling for so long is that you lose track of what day it is. There is really no distinction between weekdays and weekends for me anymore. Everything just runs into each other.
Normally that isn’t a big deal, but it has really screwed me up this weekend. For starters, i had no [...]

Spring break skiing is a popular event in Colorado. Ski safely. I was at Arapahoe Basin a few weeks ago and overheard a loud speaking skier who was bragging to his friends about how drunk he was. It was 9:00am. Now...keep in mind...if you want to be wasted by 9:00am, ok and I guess good for you. But...if you are wasted by 9:00am, I don't recommend taking runs. Just chill out in the lot. It's safer for you and the rest of us. Gosh, I don't mean to sound old, but really, if you're really wasted you shouldn't ski. rippinskiers@earthlink.net

It's officially Spring Break 08' here in the Coffeehouse! 3 kids off from school for a week but only one really is on a vacation of any sort. She left on Sunday with friends so my husband and I took our impromptu trip to the Twin Cities with the other two kids to give them a tiny 'vacation' albeit quick and only overnight. LOL. We needed to head back home as the teens were missing track
Sorry about the little blogging break. D3 (third son) turned 2 years old last Friday and my kiddos are on Spring Break. So my Mommy duties have doubled and I've been enjoying that extra play time with the boys.I know you Ladies are anxiously awaiting some fabulous tips. Let's get back to business shall we...Since it's Spring break, I thought it would be appropriate to share some kid-based activity themed ideas. It's raining here {{sigh}} so here are some at home activities.Special Days! Get creative and assign each day a certain theme. For instance, Monday is Rescue Hero day, Tuesday is Turquoise day, Wednesday is Bionicle day, Thursday is Circle day, Friday is Safari day. (You get the idea.) This will help the week go by faster, give your kiddos something to look forward to, and a perfect
The initial plan was to depart early Monday morning and make the long 750 kilometers to Phetchaburi in one go (leaving a comfortable 150 kilometer finish to Bangkok for the next day), via Phuket–>Phanga–:>Surathani–>Chumporn route (On his way down, he took the Chumporn–>Ranong–>Phanga–>Phanga–>Phuket route).
However, a dispute that erupted last night between the Siamerican and

After being in Phuket for more than a week, the Siamerican finally decided it was time to get some swimming in at the beach, one of his last chances before he has to make the drive back up to Bangkok early Monday morning.

Hallelujah! Friday is here! Today is Career Day at school. It is also the last school day before Spring Break. What can I say? At Career Day we will have various speakers that will come in and speak with the students about various career choices. Of course for Kindergarten the discussion will be much simpler, but will expose the kiddo's to some different types of careers. In the past we have had nurses, pharmacists, chefs, and delivery drivers come an speak. It is always a good time for all. I will report more later. The last day of school before Spring Break. Let me say that again. The last day of school before Spring Break. It took approximately 120 school days for it to get here; and it finally got here. I can finally rest my throat. My allergies, a cold, and constant talking in class b
I’m sorry I’ve been rather absent this week. Not only have I had midterms take and papers to write, my gmail wasn’t working for a good 4 days, and I just realized it (great!). Though I haven’t been tap, tap tapping these keys for you, I have been keeping up with all that news. [...]
Dating a college student comes with a unique set of complications. While other women get hurt and huffy when their menfolk work 'til 5:30 or 6 (primarily because dinner's gotten cold), my Mr Right is in class until 10:30 in the evening at least twice a week. Other days, he's home before noon but barricaded into a corner by Statics & Structures, The Physics of Soil Composition, and fifteen volumes of Basic Real Estate Law. Leaving work at "the office" is a laughable impossibility. When he does make an honest attempt to get everything done at the library, he ends up in the library until midnight. If he brings it home, he spends all day Saturday hunched over the my Mac typing papers or doing the infamous CAPA problems. In short, it's not really the boozin' good time that I remember

I just got back from Spring Break. I had such a wonderful time. A college peer, Laura, convinced me to go to Langerado with her. I had never even heard of anything like Langerado before, however, after much persuasion I bought my ticket and packed my bag! For those of you who are as clueless [...]

I’m currently on spring break and it’s been fun so far. I haven’t really done much, just been relaxing and trying not to think about school work too much. Church was yesterday and it was great. My pastor was talking about how when you are in a pit God is still there for you. I [...]
It’s spring break! I’m spending it here at Lynn rather than spending more money than I have on a plane ticket to go somewhere. Once I firmly decided that I was staying here, I became really excited. Campus is pleasantly deserted. I get my entire room to myself for a whole week and I can [...]

I tried hard to research this, I truly did. I tried my best to find some site that specializes in “looking” amateurish or really claims to be amateur even though it’s not. After all my research it is my humble opinion that these are definitely legit amateur shots and I did not get them from some porn site where crazy stuff eventually goes on. However, in this here photo set, crazy stuff eventually goes on. I have found plenty of party pictures on Pbase but none with the sense of whackiness and realism as these. And the fact that these pictures are out there and things like this really happen to real people? Well, it makes me proud to be an American and yet so unproud of myself for not even having come even remotely close to partying like this, or at least recording my partying such as these people recorded theirs.
Where in the world are all the other girls in this picture? Like I said this isn’t even a porn site! Something messed up went on that day. I
Buckleys : Hot Tub
Doing business and using the web to launch a product is a fantastic idea, that is if you can knock it out of the park. The people at Buckley’s are doing a great job of mixing business and humor while using the internet to convey their message. Well, at least it got me to blog about it.
I’m actually kind of glad that Maxim for once didn’t put up pictures of ridiculously hot females. Here you can see that the average girl when given enough alcohol will get her ass on stage and do many many wonderful things for us guys. There are times, not all the time, when in all honesty I’d rather jerk off to chicks like this. It’s a great feeling knowing that even normal girls can seriously get down when they want to.
See what I mean? And yes, I even like the fat chick. Yeah I said it. She’s got some seriously wet cans and I dig it.
Now this one just looks like she peed herself but she loves it and therefore so do I. Good for you whoever you are.
Sounds about right. She’s up there in the middle of the crowd. No one is dancing with her. Lame guy with glasses in the background is sitting there smiling knowing he’ll never get up.
I had to post this picture. This girl has braces. That’s just priceless.
That guy has got the wrong view man. We’re looking right at that ass. There’s that blond again! The Student Travel department knows how to get its attendees.
Yup because this is definitely real. And because all the girls at Nebraska get into this. As you’ll see from the rest of the pictures, it’s probably not exactly a realistic portrait of life for the Huskers. Would be nice, don’t get me wrong. I just don’t think it’s school policy is all.
For one week during early spring, college and university students in many countries including the United States, Canada, and China leave their classrooms and take a much-needed respite from hitting the books. Spring break is a time to let one’s hair down and to just take it easy. Many students take the opportunity to travel during this week-long recess; others turn to arts and crafts. For either of these spring break activities, jewelry can play an important role.
A survey shows that the most popular spring break travel destinations are South Padre Island, Lake Havasu, Panama City, with the Mexican city of Cancun as the international location of choice for many students. What do all these locations have in common? Water and parties — and a host of opportunities for young students on spring break to show off body jewelry of different designs. Also, the type of swimsuit she is wearing would enhance the visual impact her jewelry would make. For instance, a belly ring would re
Anytime the wives get together and start plotting behind the husbands backs either something very good is going to happen, or something very bad. All I know is to stay out of it until its done.
Lani at Realtor Wives and my wife traded emails back and forth for a couple of days. Being a proponent of transparent blogging, this of course made me only slightly nervous.
You see I’ve been under fairly strict rules of “don’t post a photograph of me anywhere” and taken to referencing her as simply “the petite blonde”. I’ve tired encouraging her to comment on the blogs she reads for months now, but the wee poppet is too shy.
Then suddenly a post appears and she sounds like The First Lady of Real Estate Blogging
Now she’s talking about writing posts and learning to tolerate her picture in public….

The kids are on Spring break this week.
The Hubs took 4 days off this week as well.
*sigh*
What this means is I will have 4 kids telling me how bored they are and a husband who is going to be saying cute stuff like, “what’s for lunch?” and suggesting stuff for us to do.
See, I don’t want to do anything. I do stuff everyday. I’m tired. I want to spend my spring break actually taking a break. You know, relaxing and all that jazz?
And, yes, I changed the theme again. Sue me, I’m fickle.
I used to love Spring break as a kid. My kids are so happy no school for a whole week. But easy week for them means a much harder week for me. It means that I have a full daycare almost everyday. I love having my kids home it's just harder with other kids. It would not be so bad if the weather was nice but the weather is terrible, they are predicting snow for Wednesday. We have our first

Just kidding, but that would be funny to see Chuck Hagel and Nancy Pelosi on MTV's Spring Break. The war spending bill that the President has vowed to veto is going to have to wait till Congress returns from Spring Break (Passover and Easter).Congress will reconvene April 16, however the funds the President has asked for are desperately needed. As well Congress is no longer debating those funds they are debating the pork that was laid on thick. The Politco says:The White House doesn't intend to accept the IOU quietly, accusing the Democratic-controlled Congress of skipping town before its work is done. "They should stick around until they send him a bill," White House spokesman Tony Fratto said. "You can be sure that we won't be shy about talking about that." And I would agree Democrats rea
Ah yes, Spring Break, that time of unnecessarily expensive trips to exotic tropical locations for a week of inebriated debauchery. For most schools, it seems that Spring Break has come and gone. There are a few, though, still in the swing of things.Spring Break seems a little different in law school than it was in college. There are certainly more people who simply hang around the school and "catch up on work." That said, there are also quite a few people who do those same things that the undergrads do during Spring Break. It seems that the 1L's and 2L's hang around school the most. 1L's stay at school for the obvious reason - studying. I have a little harder time understanding that as a motivating factor for the 2L's. And the 3L's just don't seem to care about anything anymore. They are in a nice position right now.3L's have already worked a summer at a firm (hopefully) and have seen the pay that will be coming their way in the future. I think what happens is the mone
