Honda revives the CRX's spirit with a small hybrid concept In early February, DailyTech first brought you news that Honda was working on a small sports car to take some of the "green" spotlight that has been hogged by the Toyota Prius since 2000. Honda later unveiled the vehicle as the Small Hybrid Sports Concept (SHSC) in March. The radical-looking concept was powered by an efficient 4-cylinder engine, Honda's Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid system and paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Here’s one good news that greeted me recently as I did my usual net surfing. Just wanna share it with you.   Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) affiliates hosted a racing event meant to raise funds for the Mothers Against Drunk Driving movement. The race was held at the Louisiana State Police Emergency Vehicle Operations Center in Zachary last Labor Day. SCCA is a state-run association that obtained more than 60,000 members all over the country. It advocates all sorts of motor sports such as rally, road racing, and autocross. Based on next gen SL-ClassFinally it’s on its way, the new Audi R8 rival from Mercedes. It has been rumored for quite a while, and here are the first pictures of an early mule for the new sports car by Mercedes likely to be named SLC.The new car will be developed and built by the German sports car maker, HWA, who is AMG′s partner in the German Touring car Masters. Acura had an ace up its sleeve at the North American International Auto Show. To the delight of onlookers, the company unveiled the Advanced Sports Car Concept (ASCC), which for all intents and purposes will serve as the foundation for the successor to the NSX. But unlike the heralded mid-engine sports car, the ASCC will have its engine located in front of the cabin. But that's not to say that the future exotic won't carry the spirit of the NSX. If you look closely, you'll notice subtle cues that have carried over from its predecessor, including the long one-piece taillight and all-black canopy.
