Spoon's new video for "You Got Yr Cherry Bomb" is stop-motion animation done of paper cutouts that were done by hand, then sequenced on a computer. Looks tedious, but fun, and it kind of makes me want to make one of my own. Step one: Learn how to do stop-motion animation. Can't be that hard, right? Step two: Cut stuff up. I'm in.While I am admittedly not a huge fan of music videos, as I feel they have kind of lost their meaning in this digital age where the "music networks" no longer play music of any kind, I loved Spoon's video for "Underdog" and I found this one to be whimsical and fun (and especially loved the paper hand claps). Mr. Yun comments: "Now that mortgage conditions have improved, some postponed activity should turn up in existing-home sales over the next couple of months, and I expect sales at fairly stable to slightly higher levels"

Apparently, alot of people watch the hard-hitting medical drama Grey's Anatomy (really it's a soft-core soap opera porn for women). Recently it spun off another show (unholy abomination) known as Private Practice. Bored as usual, I decided to give this piece of monkey spunk an objective viewing. After watching it, I'm left with one feeling only...best described medically as a feverish, vommitting sensation accompanied by severe spastic colon. Don't get me wrong, Dr. Addison (Kate Walsh) is one hot piece of tail (I'd definitely let her "practice" with my "privates"), but other than her the cast is made up of wooden B-actors walking through a script not fit for a Lifetime movie of The Week. Starring alongside her "fineness", are Taye Diggs, from How Stella Got Her Groove Back.Tim Daly, otherwise known as the "not-so-funny" guy from Wings. For whatever reason I've never really liked Spoon all that much. Actually, (truth be told) I've never really listened to them much, but only because I've never felt compelled to. Just like the rest of the world did, I loved the propulsive beat and disco-falsetto of "I Turn My Camera On," but (again) never investigated much further into the world of the crafty and arty Spoon. It just felt like indie rock's version of a one-hit wonder. Throughout the summer (though) I'd heard mumblings about the new Spoon record Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga and just how great it was and decided that if any time was right to give the band a listen, now was that time. I don’t know about you, but when my sister and I were little, we’d watch, glassy-eyed, as Mom or Grandma would stir up some sweet concoction, blending a wide array of raw ingredients into a mixture that, when properly baked, turned into the most wonderful treats imaginable. Our small engines always idled at half-throttle in those days, and our preferred fuel was sugar-laced confectioneries taken by the handful and shoved, barely cooled, into eager gas tanks.
