After Coke recently made a mockery of Pepsi's 'Youngistan' campaign with 'Sprite spoof ', Pepsi is now hitting back with a spoof of the 'Thums Up' campaign that featured actor Akshay Kumar but the interesting point is releasing of the ad for this spoof on Youtube before releasing it to mass media. Hate It or Love It Mariah Carey Is That Chick! Check out this video clip of Mariah Carey in a spoof of her life entitled "Lovers & Haters". Mariah, Benny Medina and Spike Lee all got together to shoot the spoof. It's set to be released on September 16th, it's only 15 minutes long and was shot with a $5 million budget. The Apple vs. PC ads keep getting spoofed and they seem to get funnier with every new version that comes out. I thought it was funny that the Mac does not know what work is. I’m going to be unbiased here and say there is truth to it however exaggerated it may look in the TV commercials. A new trojan virus does a pretty good job of disguising itself as a windows activation. Of course minus the spelling error, a lot of people are likely to fall for this one. Mac PC SpoofsWe love Apple's "Get a Mac" campaign, which pairs older guy-PC with younger guy-Mac and shows off how much hipper and cuter and cooler Mac is. But now, we're roaring just as loudly over these four spoofs of the ad series from writer and director Laurie McGuinness. Before the same white background, portly PC and adorably disheveled Mac meet, talk, and occasionally disagree. But in these scenarios, PC wears sharply tailored suits and has a hot blonde girl friend. Mac shows up late, looking groggy from working all night on a web site for his cat. PC wants to hear what Mac is listening to; Mac doesn't want to share. PC allows that he deals with all the boring spread sheets and businessy stuff; Mac suddenly realizes that he can't make the rent. Last Tuesday, Michael from the uber-cool Apple Gazette has posted a list of the Top 10 Apple Commercials of all Time. Mac users and wannabes all over the world were treated to a splendid selection of excellent, brilliant, down-right hilarious and catchy commercials that only the advertising geniuses at Apple could come up with. These short films sparked and galvanized a cult following that has made Macs and Apple true icons of our digital age. The post has even inspired me to prowl YouTube.com for something of the similar theme. What I found are spoofs of the now popular ‘Get a Mac‘ commercials which are witty and funny in their right. The spoof vidoes could either be a dessert after watching all Top 10 Apple videos I’ve mentioned or something that would put me and my blog in the blacklist of die-hard Mac afficionados.
