Last year, Tony Soprano cheated death when he was shot by his now institutionalized Uncle Junior. While Tony continues to muse about his second chance at life, he faces a myriad of immediate, stress-inducing crises at home, at work and from the law. Tony's wife Carmela plans for a future she's not sure will arrive, and son AJ and daughter Meadow find that adulthood holds its own surprises. Meanwhile, at work, Tony comes to doubt the allegiances of many of those closest to him ? no one, not Paulie, Bobby, Silvio or even Christopher is above suspicion. The clock is ticking. Time is running out. But on who?

If you have a Soprano’s fan in your life, this may be a nice little gift for them this Christmas. Manny is mounting the pieces on wood and adding a little plaque.
Satriale’s was a featured location throughout the entire run of the show- including the last season that ended earlier this year.

¿Bada Bing? Bada Bang
Absolutamente NO.
I though that Hillary Clinton’s Sopranos Spoof was very clever and would prove very effective in humanizing her. Liberal pundit Margret Carlson had a different take however :“The Carmela-Hillary juxtaposition has been made before by others, and not in Hillary's favor. For staying with a repeat philanderer, Carmela got to live in a McMansion, wear expensive jewelry and wield derivative power as Queen Bee of the mob families. Hillary got to be first lady with a good shot at the White House”Carlson goes on:“The biggest problem with playing the Sopranos is that no matter how much viewers found Tony a sympathetic character or felt sorry for Carmela for being married to a murdering sociopath, they don't want either in the White House. The person who had the bright idea to make the ad should get a promotion, but the person who approved it should be fired, unless it's the candidate herself.Unlike the Sopranos, in the saga of the Clintons, there will be a final accounting before the
Do you watch much television? If you're like most people you might have a favorite show or two that you watch every week like say, the many fans of the Sopranos. Which brings us to the series finale. It was an anticipated television event and it led up to that 80's Journey tune "Don't Stop Believin" in the final scene. But as we all know now fans were left in the dark and none too happy about it either. About the only one who wins out in this situation is the music group Journey who is seeing a resurgence in interest with YouTube hits of the song and...oh yeah, have you seen the latest Hillary Clinton ad featuring the music as well?

Conflicting loyalties. Terminations. A changing culture. New competitive threats. These phrases describe the challenges facing many of today's most successful businesses. Democratic Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton spoofed the final episode of the hit series The Sopranos in a video telling supporters the winning anthem for her 2008 presidential campaign was Celine Dion's You and I.In a scene reminiscent of The Sopranos, Clinton's video shows her sitting in a diner as her husband and former president Bill walks in, the Journey song Don't Stop Believin' playing in the background, and a beefy man walking by glaring at them. Watch it now:For those with no sound:"So what's the winning song?" Bill asked."You'll see," the New York senator responded."My money is on Smash Mouth, everybody in America wants to know how it's gonna end," he said. The candidate puts a coin in the music player on the table and says: Ready?"But instead of the Dion song belting out of the machine, the video cuts to a black screen – like the Sopranos – and then lists her website to reveal the song: www.hillaryclinton.com/song and a fundraising pitch. This article totally got me

Our American pop culture radar has been stuck on the series finale of The Sopranos that aired this past Sunday evening. My reaction……..who cares? Frankly, the ending only pulled in about 12 million viewers, great for cable, but nothing to write home about in the world of broadcast media, and definitely not worthy of the media attention being given to this low brow series.
I only watched The Sopranos in bits and pieces when I traveled a lot (I don't subscribe to HBO, but got it in hotels that I stayed at). Of the glimpses that I did get, all I could decipher was that every sentence contained the f--- word, or some derivation of it, and the dialogue was stuck at the 70 IQ range. The Sopranos represents garbage television at its finest. The fact that the series was critically acclaimed is meaningless; Hollywood routinely puts trash and debauchery on a pedestal as high art and accomplishment.
The Sopranos is evidence of a fallen cul
Like millions of other suckers my husband and I sat down and watched the final episode of The Sopranos last night. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement to say the least. In fact, in our household it has been dubbed “the worst series finale EVER”.
Was it brilliant? Possibly. It certainly has people buzzing, and thinking, an awful lot about a TV show.
Was it well crafted? Most definately. It was an enthralling few minutes of TV, literally had my adrenaline buzzing.
Was it a let down? Oh boy, you betcha!!
Don’t misunderstand me …. I “get” the ending. They way we saw it, whether he “gets whacked” or goes to jail is for the most part irrelevant. Life goes on for Tony Soprano and his family (as I read SOMEWHERE) we just don’t get to watch anymore. We assume that this time Tony will stand trial, we assume that Meadow will get married and become a lawyer, we assume that A.J. will continue to drift aimlessly
The buildup was what you might expect for a classic American pop culture series. Last week as the final episode of The Sopranos drew near, the Web was abuzz with theories. Would Tony finally get whacked? Would he go into witness protection, courtesy of his FBI buddy?
The aftermath was just as frenetic. According to media reports, irate fans crashed the HBO site shortly after the episode concluded.
To me, the finale was somewhat of a letdown but not a total crash. I think the powers-that-be decided on art versus entertainment. I figured the setting, with Tony and his loved ones sitting down to dinner, with a few cautious glances at others in the diner by Tony, put the viewer in the same seat the boss occupies.
Tony Soprano doesn’t really know what’s ahead and nor do we. He’s living his life as he always has, anticipating violence at every corner, but eating onion rings as though he hasn’t a care in the world. We’re sitting there with them, wondering will it be the last me

Answer: a big crescendo of nothing
Via Reuters
MONTCLAIR, New Jersey (Reuters) - Whaddya gonna do? After building tension for six seasons over 8-1/2 years, "The Sopranos," one of America's most critically acclaimed television shows, ended on Sunday with nothing more than a black screen. And there was no clear answer to the big question -- would mob boss Tony Soprano sleep with the fishes?
It seems a number of people are complaining that David Chase’s final 60 seconds were a copout. “The Sopranos” was great because it rarely followed typical conventions and this final episode was no different. Real life doesn’t have tidy endings and neither should the Sopranos. Throughout its seven seasons, the first family of North Jersey always tried to be normal (despite a life of crime) and nothing is more normal in America then a diner and a giant order of onion rings. David Chase could never write a finale episode that could possibly meet the hype. Nevertheless, in writing an episode so typically Sopranos, Chase delivered the perfect ending. He concluded the greatest American drama in the only way it deserves: without ending it at all.
Warning! Spoiler alert.
Like everyone else who watched the finale, Candace and I thought that the satellite feed had gone out when Tony looked up and the screen went black.
Such an abrupt cut after so many minutes of building suspense makes sense best if you buy the theory that David Chase went ahead and whacked us, the viewers. It’s my favorite interpretation, and I think it’s brilliant.
Looking back, the episode where Tony and Christopher steal, drink and proceed to sell a few cases of Pichon Lalande (for only $300!) is still a favorite, but I was happy to see the show go out with a bang.
Even if it was us that took the bullet instead of Tony.
My proposed finally for The Sopranos:
Tony win the war against Phil and a new era begins
Tony is killed and his daughter take his place to make it legit
Tony is arrested
Eventually, we will get a movie(TV or theater) in a few years because there is a lot of money to be made or depending on the end, we get a new series à la Next generation.

I have been watching The Sopranos. I just finished the fifth season. I like it. It is by far the best mob TV show to date. Mostly because HBO does an awesome job with its high quality shows. They have bigger budgets, better acting. Most shows can’t compete. I think the show does well to show human conflict, the mob life is just a vehicle to apply pressure to already pressured nuclear familes..
I like the dialogue. . . sure lots of it is just dirty Jersey so-and-so stuff, but there are some lovely pieces in there such as:
Anthony ‘Tony’ Soprano Sr.: You know what they say: Revenge is like serving cold cuts.
Dr. Jennifer Melfi: I think it’s “Revenge is a dish best served cold.”
Anthony ‘Tony’ Soprano Sr.: What did I say?
This is some good stuff. Anyone else been watching this show?
A funny spoof done by Mad TV. I followed the action of the show on HBO (for a season or so) and I must say, that they captured the essence of it perfectly. For those who didn’t get to see it..this video is all you need. Really!
