High ISO sensitivity: With high sensitivity of ISO 1000, the DSC-W55 gives you better shots in low light so you can shoot without flash to preserve the mood—great for birthday parties, indoor gatherings and candid portraits.

Sony just outdid itself once again when it released the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T200. It is really not surprising for Sony to achieve this level of success particularly since [...]
The powerful Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 15x zoom lens makes the Cyber-shot H50 ideal for travel and other situations when you want clear close-ups without the penalty of carrying a big, bulky camera. The large, high-contrast 3-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus screen tilts up or down, adding an extra dimension of creative freedom when framing shots at any angle. There's also an electronic viewfinder that provides a convenient alternative to framing shots with the LCD screen.
It's the toughest, most technically advanced Cyber-shot W Series camera yet. The slim, W300 features a scratch resistant titanium coating that's around five times tougher than anodized aluminium. A high resolution of 13.6 effective megapixels assures detail-packed enlargements to A3 size and beyond. Optical performance is further assured by the Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 3x optical zoom. Maximum sensitivity is boosted to an ISO 6400. Teamed with Sony Clear RAW Noise Reduction and Super Steady Shot image stabilization.
In a press release this morning, Sony has provided details about the latest additions to its Cyber-shot line, including the 9.1 megapixel, 15x zoom Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H50. As noted, the H50's most prominent feature, visually and functionally, is its 15x Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar zoom, which covers an impressive equivalent range of 31-465mm. Out back, the H50 wears a 3-inch tilting LCD that allows equally easy shooting from low and high angles and features a scratch resistant UV coating.Stylistically, the new camera is much in keeping with other recent offerings in the H line, presenting a mini-DSLR look with an offset lens barrel and prominent hand grip. The H50 comes equipped with Sony's Advanced Sports Shooting mode that we've seen recently on other higher-end cameras from the manufacture

Sony have just announced they latest Cyber Shot camera; The DSC-T2. If you are one of those people who are put off with having to use Sony’s proprietary memory sticks, then the DSC-T2 might change your mind. The DSC-T2 comes with 4GB of on board memory, which is about the equivalent of 1,300 photos (and way more than I currently have with my own memory cards). Of course, if 4GB is not enough, you can always use a memory stick pro duo card to expand your memory capabilities. The DSC-T2 packs an 8 megapixel, 1/2.5-inch CCD sensor, 2.7-inch, 230k pixel touchscreen LCD, 3x Carl Zeiss zoom with optical image stabilization, Sony's "smile shutter" and face detection technology, 38mm to 114mm-equivalent f/3.5-4.3 lens and an ISO 3200 max sensitivity. The T2 comes in white, black, blue, green, and pink and should be available for around $350 for the Holidays

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9 Review at DCResource, “Like all of Sony’s 2007 cameras, the Cyber-shot DSC-H9 has built-in memory instead of having a memory card included in the box — 31MB worth to be exact. That holds just ten photos at the highest quality setting, so you’ll want to buy a memory card right away. The DSC-H9 uses Sony’s Memory Stick Pro Duo cards, which currently top out at 8GB, and I’d recommend picking up a 1GB card along with the camera. An adapter is included with all MS Duo cards so they work in standard Memory Stick slots.”

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H7 Review at Digital Camera Info, “The ultra-zoom segment of the digital camera market is expanding as consumers seek more than the standard compact 3x lens and lust for the double digit optics. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H7 will satiate zoom cravers with its 8.1 megapixels and 15x optical zoom lens. The H7 is the less expensive sibling of the Sony H9, which has a bigger fold-out LCD monitor. The Sony H7 might be overshadowed by its big brother, but still provides a decent set of features at a reasonable price. The H7 will retail for $399 when it is shipped in June.”

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T100 Review at Trusted Reviews, “The resolution and zoom power of the T100 put into the top bracket of performance compacts, alongside cameras such as the Casio EX-V7 that I reviewed last week, or the Ricoh Caplio R6 and Panasonic Lumix TZ2. It is an expensive camera compared to these models though, currently retailing at around £240. Considering that it doesn’t have any of the manual exposure options of these competing models that’s a lot of money for a point-and-shoot compact. It does have some interesting features though, including a Carl Zeiss branded lens, 3200 ISO maximum sensitivity, Sony’s Super Steady Shot CCD-shift anti-shake mechanism and DRO (Dynamic Range Optimiser) exposure adjustment system as seen in the Alpha A100 DSLR, and the ability to output images in 1080 HD format for display on high-definition televisions. It can play back images as a slide show with music accompaniment, and record MPEG movies in VGA resolution with mono audio.&
Experience more creative power to capture life?s greatest moments with the Cyber-shot® DSC-H9 digital camera. This high-performance camera impresses with 8.1 megapixel clarity, 15X optical zoom, Advanced Sports Mode, and the NightShot® system for shooting in darkness by infrared light. Super SteadyShot® optical image stabilization and high sensitivity (ISO 3200) mode allow low-light shots without flash to preserve the mood, Face Detection brings out the best in faces, and HD (high definition) output lets you share memories in spectacular high definition detail on compatible HDTV screens.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W200 Review at CNET, “The model fares moderately well on shooting speed. From power-on to first shot takes a zippy 1.6 seconds, and in high-contrast light it snaps photos in a reasonable half-second. In dim light, under harder-to-focus conditions, it takes a so-so 1.3 seconds. Unfortunately, the W200’s typical shot-to-shot time is a sluggish 2.2 seconds, and when you enable flash, that almost doubles to a seriously shot-impairing 4.4 seconds. Its 2fps continuous-shooting rate compares better to its classmates, though.”

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T100 Review at PCMag, “i’m impressed with the DSC-T100’s performance and image quality. The camera features a 5X optical zoom lens with a 5.8mm-to-29mm range (which is equivalent to a 35mm lens with a 35mm-to-175mm zoom) and has corresponding maximum f-stops of f/3.5 to f/5.6. This 5X optical zoom capability is a bit more than the 3X usual on cameras this size. Still, it would be nice to see the zoom range reach a wider angle.”

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9 Review at CameraLabs, “The Cyber-shot H9 is certainly a feature-packed camera which understandably piqued the interest of super-zoom buyers the moment it was announced in February 2007. It stacks up pretty well against the competition too. The 15x zoom range offers an equivalent range of 31-465mm, making it a little wider and longer than the 12x zooms of Panasonic’s Lumix FZ50 and FZ8 models, and beaten only by the whopping 28-504mm 18x range of the Olympus SP-550UZ.”
