There’s been a lot of talk lately around the Cinema Blend News Desk about the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic I’m Not Here. A lot of the writers have been bantering about how all of the various actors portraying Dylan would do, but I, personally, have been most concerned with how they would handle the soundtrack. Would they just raid Zimmerman’s extensive catalog of previously released songs or take it in another direction?

Debo reconocer que para mi lo de Sonic Youth que me gustaba era el washing machine y sería… bueno también un par de canciones de otros discos, como unmade bed del sonic nurse, pero hace más o menos dos semanas, mi amado y maravilloso pololo (fanático de Sonic Youth) me grabó para mi auto el Rather Ripped. Decir que quedé alucinada es poco, se ha convertido en mi disco favorito in no time y es casi lo único que escucho en el auto. Ni si quiera podría decir cuáles son mis temas favoritos, porque con este disco pasa lo que pasa con muy pocos; todos los temas son buenos. PLOP! yo quedé PLOP porque generalmente me gusta la música de niñas rabiosas y en general el indie pop, pero este disco me pateó por completo y lo recomiendo 100%. No me pidan que hable de guitarras y sonidos blabla bla, porque en verdad a mí la música me gusta porque me mueve el piso. Pero en todo caso, las baterías de este disco son espectaculares. Ya subí el disco completo al blog, es alucinante, muy muy activado y menos noiser que otros discos de Sonic Youth. Derrepente hay gente que le gusta más lo old school y bueno nada que hacer, pero todavía no escucho que nadie me diga que este disco es malo, de hecho, he escuchado que es demasiado “bueno” así como bien grabado, muy popero, qué sé yo… Cada uno a lo que quiera, yo amo Reena y admiro a Kim Gordon. Enjoy! .

Sonic Youth has announced the second coming of its hailed 1988 album, Daydream Nation, for June 12 via Geffen/UMe. This new version will include bonus tracks and rare photos of the band as part of a four-LP set on the group's Goofin’ Records label. The album’s original version will be on the first disc of the deluxe with a demo of “Eric’s Trip” attached at the end.
