A police officer checking on a truck that got stuck in the mud at a city park was startled to find a 13-year-old boy behind the wheel. The officer also was surprised that the boy appeared to be drunk. So did the teen’s father, who was riding in the front seat. He told police that he had turned over the driving duties to his son because he’d had too much to drink.

I am proud to be a member of the PCUSA. I am proud of what this denomination has done and does in the present. It has been a denomination in which I have been able to follow and to serve Christ. It is not my denomination. I am honored to join in a conversation started long before I came on board. It will continue long after I am gone. The PCUSA was formed in 1983 at the reunion of the "Northern" and "Southern" branches of the church. Yet this tradition has a long heritage that goes before the split that was the result of the war between the states. I am a latecomer. As we all are. No one serving the PCUSA was here in 1861.
I realized this morning that besides screwing alcoholics in stairwells, all has been fairly quiet on the Lindsay Lohan front for awhile now. She’s falling down the same path as Paris Hilton: bad girls that go straight, at least for the time being. Between those two and Nicole Richie being too knocked up to get herself into any sort of trouble, a lot of bloggers are finding their inspiration lost. The chaos in Hollywood seems almost to be fleeing in the wind, leaving only one left to try and make up for the absence of absurdity all by her lonesome.
TMZ reports a photographer congratulated Lohan at a store on her sobriety, no doubt while trying to check on her panty wearing status at the same time with his camera. False sense of security: the new paparazzi weapon. Plenty of celebrities in clothes~! as well in the video below.

Moving through those party years is an eye opener. Some may come to this realization while still in college but sadly, many can waste time, money, and their bodies before it dawns on them to straighten up and “be somebody”. I thank my lucky stars that none of the young people in my family have fallen prey to the many addictions that can afflict their generation. However I am glad to know of sites likeSober College, which aims to offer a unique alternative to traditional drug and alcohol rehab programs and substance abuse treatment. They are offering help and advice to parents who are anxious because they realise their son or daughter is so heavily addicted to drink or drugs that they are not attending college. The site has been created to help with the addiction and the longer term problem of the gap in your child’s education. This is an excellent idea and will be a blessing to thousands of worried parents and their offspring.
