Film director Zack Snyder ('300') an avid low-tech fan
From Living Large : After Snyder wrapped up Watchmen he sent the camera back to its creator for an upgrade that turned it into a Littman VI, a more recent iteration that adds the unique, patent-pending ability to precisely adjust the parallelism of film and lens planes. "William kept it for quite a while, and I felt naked without it," says the director... "I hadn't realized how dependent I'd become on it." It was worth the wait, though, because in the process Littman restyled Snyder's camera into a spectacular designer model he dubbed the "Arabella." Its owner seems to be unaware of its florid name, which is more likely a reference to Richard Strauss's lyric opera than to Winston Churchill's eccentric Buddhist granddaughter. "It's meant to evoke the Hollywood African adventure m

Zack Snyder Writes The Last Photograph
The film 300 was a huge success for Zack Snyder, and since then he has attached his name to lots of films. At the moment, Snyder is shooting the Watchmen but he’s also developing an adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s The Illustrated Man. Not only that, but he’s planning an original fantasy drama with Sucker Punch and developing Army of Dead. It seems that is not enough for Snyder. He’s now planning a change of pace by developing The Last Photograph, a war drama set in Afghanistan. He’s teaming up with 300 writer Kurt Johnstad on a script based on one of Snyder’s ideas, about a war photograph that becomes the catalyst for a journey that two men take through war-torn Afghanistan. The two are planning to develop the script to then auction it off, so Snyder may not actually direct. Source Written by Lucy for Product ReviewsIn Sections: Film News, News

Snyder worked for CBS until 1999, when he ended his show...this time by his own choice.During his impressive career, Snyder’s highlights included the last televised interview with John Lennon and an exclusive talk with mass murderer Charles Manson.
