It was a sport that was created in the 1970's, and it grew immensely in popularity since then. There are a number of corporations and companies that are trying to fill the needs and demands of the general snowboarding public. There are a lot of accessories that go along with this type of sport, and as a result this can all end of being extremely expensive. This is why so many people try to find sales and underground places to get snowboards, but cutting corners there is not for everyone. As a result, before you invest, you should review where you can get a snowboard for sale, and you will see that you can do so in a variety of places. However, there are some benefits and deterrents fr
The earliest use of snow goggles starts with the Inuit people who lived in the coastal regions of what are now Siberia, Greenland, and Alaska. Archeologists have uncovered prehistoric sites thousands of years old with snow goggles in them. The Inuit version of the snow goggle was a carved piece of bone, shell [...]

Yeah, this Guano Apes song keeps looping in my head for several days now. And why is that? Maybe because I`m close to having all the equipment I need for snowboarding!!! :)I have a Gravity Lost 166 wide freeride snowboard, Factory FA22 bindings with aluminium frame, SPL leather boots and finally a set of snowboarding pants and jacket from Lithuanian sportswear manufacturer "Audimas". This Snowboard glove control for the iPod is not a commercially available product yet and might never appear in shops but it is an interesting concept demonstrator that shows a different approach compared to the many ’standard’ solutions of iPod controls in clothing, bags and gloves.
What I like on this demonstrator is the use of metallic buttons that are connected to the electronics via conductive thread that is used to sew them on.
Bringing two of those buttons together will close the circuit and activate whatever function is assigned to those two buttons.

The usability in the demonstrated form might be not that great but this simple and unique idea could/should inspire others to create more diversity for Wearable Electronic products by using ‘everyday’ items fo the fashion world and transform them into something more intelligent.

Quiksilver has added to their backpack line with sound shell in the 2007/08 range a Snowboarding jacket that let you control your tunes easily while racing down the hills.
The U-Ramp Snowboard Jacket has soft switch buttons in the left sleeve that can be operated even with thick gloves on your hands.
There is no mention anything specific for iPod but based on the functionality overview of this Jacket which says: ‘… select songs and turn up the volume’ means it only could/should work with an iPod. To select/skip songs is not possible on the generic solutions like the ones used in Quiksilver’s backpacks.
To control the iPod or other audio player on the sleeve might sound geeky or outright ‘not so smart’ as we hear sometimes. This might be valid when walking around town but such additional function in clothing has it’s benefits if you are out and about and do not want to stop, taking out your player and change whatever you want to change.
Usually you will end up listen
Apparel for the cold season have been the first clothing items that adopted electronic functions. This is for one part kind of logical because the integration is easier due to the cut of jackets that allows easier integration as compared with thinner summer clothing.
Another factor for using winter clothing to add electronic functionality is the fact that especially in cold weather, taking out the iPod from the warm pocket and change volume or song is kind of cumbersome if you have gloves on your hands.
The Audex iPod Dutchess Insulated Jacket for Women is another example from Burton on how to keep the fingers warm while swinging down the hills or enjoying the clear and crisp winter air.
Made off DWR Coated Fabric with features like Microfleece-Lined Handwarmer Pockets, Waist Gaiter, Sound Pocket with Headphone Cable Port, Storm-lite Fabric, fully Taped Seams and Thermacore Insulation, the Audex iPod Dutchess Insulated Jacket makes sure you stay warm even in the coldest conditions.
