Os Smashing Pumpkins afirmaram que podem nunca mais voltar a editar um álbum, informa a NME.
No entanto, a banda ressalvou que não tem intenções de deixar a música, nem tão pouco pretendem separar-se.
O baterista Jimmy Chamberlin escreveu no site oficial da banda: «Embora possamos nunca mais editar um LP novamente, vamos continuar a escrever e a gravar até estarmos mortos».

I found this pumpkin carving site, and was just stunned at the talent. You’ve got to see the full selection for yourself. It just wouldn’t be Halloween unless you did. I’ve linked several different pages at the site, because there are just so many wonderful things to see I wouldn’t want you to miss any of them. The patterns are difficulty level rated, and honestly… I’ve just not seen another site as great. I blog in awe of the talent at this site.
After browsing the site, I’m thinking of all the possibilities. Watermelons can be carved, big ole cantaloupes and honeydews… eggplants. A person could really frac up their buffet table with some of these wonderful ideas.

The 20-year-old man who died in Vancouver last week did not die from a crowd-surfing or mosh-pit-related injury, as was expected. The coroner's office found no trauma during their autopsy and will have to wait for toxicology reports to come back to determine the cause of death.

Vancouver police spokesman Const. Howard Chow said a group of young men dragged the victim out of the mosh pit toward security Monday night.
The victim, who was from Richmond, B.C., was taken to hospital, where he later died, police said Tuesday night.

You got to love the great guitar work from their songs throughout the years, but holy Moses you can tell by the interview that the members of the group aren't hungry at all anymore. From what I can tell the Smashing Pumpkins new album "Zeitgeist" has some solid guitar work from newcomer Jeff Schroeder. But not that great... Maybe I'm just in a bad mood today, but I feel the urge to severely rip on one of my all-time favorite bands in this highly one-sided post.

After a seven-year hiatus, Zeitgeist is a respectable, well-constructed album, but one that doesnt quite live up to its mid-'90s predecessors. We can fail in style, a whiney Corgan croons on Pomp and Circumstances. And, well, thats what he and the rest of the so-called "Smashing Pumpkins" have done here.

I think it's fair to say that the first Smashing Pumpkins album was one of the best records of it's time. "Gish" was released through Hut Records in 1991 and was like a breath of fresh air in the then grunge dominated climate. Whether or not he was invited is uncertain, but former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha (the quiet one) will not be joining the bandÂ’s upcoming reunion. ItÂ’s probably not a bad choice on IhaÂ’s part.
