Slipknot have announced that they are soon to return to the studio from hiatus to record their fourth (official) studio album.
The band's drummer, Joey Jordison, has confirmed that the 9-piece band will return to the studio in January and hope to release the album in the spring.
Jordison said: "We'll probably start touring a month of so before the album comes out, kind of the same way we did the Jagermeister Tour' before 'Vol. 3' came out (in 2004)."
"So we'll do something like that as well and we're looking at right now doing some European festivals next year but nothing's in stone yet. You know, there's still some things to be worked out, but the main thing is, you know, the fans should know that there will be another Slipknot record."
En ocasiones nos apetece escuchar algo realmente fuerte, algo agresivo, algo que primero acumule tensión y luego la libere de golpe. Quizás lo pide nuestro estado de ánimo, o quizás simplemente lo escuchamos por gusto. El caso es que Slipknot cumple de sobra esa función, y "Left Behind" lo hace especialmente bien.Slipknot se formó a principios de los noventa, creando varias maquetas que luego pertenecerían a su primer álbum. Se nombraban mediante números, "Slipknot 1", "Slipknot 2", "Slipknot 3", etc..., y acudían a los conciertos con unas máscaras que según ellos resaltaban parte de su personalidad.
