(click to enlarge)Well folks, my Green Line trolley is running a bit behind schedule at the moment. There has been a slight delay because my size 15 beading needle broke while I was trying to stitch those green circuit boards to the felt. I'm not upset, though. I have used that needle for the last 3 pieces I created. It had a nice bend to it, so I wasn't surprised when it snapped in half. And, that should teach me not to attempt doing beadwork after midnight. I'm going to go to sleep now, and when I get up, I'm going to grab a new needle and continue where I left off. :D

      Jelena's Slight Back Pain Problems
Qatar Total Open in Doha starts on February 18th giving Ana and Jelena needed time to rest. Almost two weeks, they needed that break after Australia and Fed Cup matches. Latest news say Jelena is feeling slight back pain problems. This can be another expression of a really exhausting 2007 season when more than many tournaments Jelena decided to participate in. Injury in early January at the Hopman Cup was a thigh muscle injury, she was standing on the baseline about to hit the ball coming along right line when her muscle could not take the preasure. Jelena talked about exhaustion during Australian Open and Fed Cup matches, and we may say that she did not take enough rest as the long season 2007 ended. There will be a slight change here.
Not only will this site examine and debunks every creationist view on dinosaurs, this blog will also pay homage to a late 1980s' animated series C.O.P.S. (Central Organization of Police Specialists). I've decided to do this because whenever I tried to create a single blog all about the series, I don't get any decent traffic coming to it. I've tried putting in some posts about politics to get more traffic to the site but, to be honest with you, I'm not really interested in politics and would rather get into dinosaurs and the issues behind it only than politics. So, I'm planning to ditch my C.O.P.S. blog and move my C.O.P.S posts here to raise more awareness of the series and preserve the memories of this awesome series. But my dinosaur shows on National Geographic is about to come on in a few minutes. Gotta go see it! You should, too!

Slight Dip, But Still Plenty of Homes For Sale
For the first time since February of this year, housing inventory in Portland has decreased. Not by much, mind you, but just enough to stop the ever-growing trend of more listings and homes for sale. Inventory now stands at 8.4 months, reflecting October 2007's market activity, which is slightly less than the previous month's supply of 8.6 months. This means that if no other homes were listed for sale in the Portland metro area, the supply would dry up in 8.4 months. Does this signify a new trend towards increased activity and faster sales? Probably not. I seriously doubt it especially when you consider that the traditionally slow time of the year is upon us- the holidays. This just means that October 2007 wasn't as bad as September 2007. Portland's buyers market remains strong. Note that inventory today is almost double from a year ago. For the record, there are 15,567 active listings on the market. As for prices, they're up. The year-to-date average sales price of a Por

Is all of our efforts of speaking that its such a great time to buy, your going to see a huge appreciation on the value of your property and the interest rates are at a 40 year low!!! Well, compared to last October we did sell more homes.........But there is so many efforts being done in trying to promote that we are in a great market to buy. I do feel we are going to see an amazing increase soon in home sales.... Personally, I would be plunging all my dollars into investing in this market.

Some of you may recall a post I wrote in September 2006 that chronicled the details surrounding the then President of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Thomas M. Stevens, inability to sell his own home.At that time, the house had an unchanged listing price of $1,450,000 and had been sitting on the market for just over 350 days.Obviously, this was a bit embarrassing for both Stevens and the NAR as was made perfectly apparent during both a Washington Post article and a subsequent CNBC interview."Who knew last September how long this down trend was going to continue, … You need to adjust the price. . . . But I didn't do that. And my house is still on the market.""What I should have done, was listened to my agent and cut the price by $50,000 to $100,000 early on, and the property would have sold last October. … I should have listed it a month earlier,"Stevens, who is also the Senior Vice President of NRT, the nation’s largest residential real estate brokerage, continued to

A Slight Regret on Yesterday's Clarification
Why did I write in yesterday's post the clarification that I do not support a pardon for Yigal Amir?It is just that I myself I'm shaped by the football character of political discourse, that I feared that passing criticism on those who protested against him, and esp. passing criticism on those who portray him as inhuman, might be understood that I subscribe to the preposterous campaign for his pardon.I reserve the right to denounce the murder, and at the same time not describe Rabin as a saint. I reserve the right to criticize Rabin, and at the same time contend that his second government was probably the best in Israeli history. I reserve the right to oppose vengeful comments on Amir's family, without this implying the slightest indication of endorsement of his views and obviously not of the murder.

Ploughing on, with a slight limp
I knew things had been going far too well recently. My foot issue, which has almost gone incidentally, was my first injury worry since April. Well, things didn't go well yesterday.I got back from holiday on Tuesday night and didn't run again until Sunday. Despite an almost overpowering urge to take part in the 'In Pendles Shadow' event that I was going to do on Saturday, I resisted. A 20 mile fell run may just have upset my foot whilst it is still healing. I hate missing training runs, let alone events, but it was for the best.On Sunday I drove up to my parent’s house, and ran from there whilst my parents looked after my son. I didn't plan any route, but had a rough idea of where I would run in my head. I guessed it would be around 15 miles. There was plenty of undulation, but no more than 1200ft of ascent in total. I packed a 6kg pack but only took water, and almost as an afterthought grabbed a 100g pack of salted cashew nuts on the way out. I had only eaten three round of brea

      Slight change tonight
Unfortunately, as I work on the third pattern, a useability problem came to light. The whole purpose of the patterns pages is to enable the visitor to see the entire pattern at one, yet be able to hover over each move and get a blown up picture with a description of the move in English and in Phonetic Korean. The third pattern (Sam Jang) has so many moves, this isn't possible. The main pattern image will disappear off the bottom of the visitors screen, ruining the entire concept.I mulled over a couple of possible ways to sort this out, but the only viable option was to stretch the size of the page widthways. The site effectively won't work that well now for visitors with an 800x600 screen resolution and is now really for those using 1024x768 or higher. The stats aren't all that high yet (not really a surprise as there is still a lot of the site unfinished!) but they do tell me 800x600 resolutions are becoming rare. Apologies if you are at that resolution - horizontal scrolling will

While acknowledging (diplomatically) McCain’s argument regarding the consequences of failure in Iraq, but to stick with a “failing policy” is a “mistake.” Senator Biden sees this as lacking reality and that really, “the problem is that for every welcome development, there is an equally or even more unwelcome development that gives lie to the claim that we are making progress.” He then goes on to cite examples, which you can read by visiting the “piece.” The problem I see with Mr. Biden’s logic is that with every action in LIFE, there is an “equally” welcome or unwelcome development to follow; oftentimes not in a singular fashion (if very lucky it will be singular; most times it’s exponentially, but I won’t get into the math of it as I don’t like math). Paul Whitehouse was a guest and the good-natured insults were flying like custard pies in a Laurel and Hardy film. I listened to the show on the way through to Glasgow, chuckling away at the back of the bus like a lunatic let loose. My sister and I spent most of the day drinking, listening to music, reminiscing and munching on crisps and pizza. It was thoroughly unhealthy, but it was good to relax and be with her. At about half past eight my mobile phone rang. It was the journalist who interviewed me last Thursday night. When I heard her voice the colour drained from my face as she started to tell me about the change of plans. I thought at first the article had been canned, but instead she was letting me know that it would now be published next weekend (28th) so that she could do more research on the actual publi

      Some Slight Changes
While I thoroughly enjoy writing about video games and gaming news my original intention for this site was not to create a purely gaming based page. That kinda just happened and I’ve started to regret it. Now, I’m not saying that I’m going to completely abandon game related posting. I’m seriously considering (to the point where I’ve already purchased a domain name for the project) starting a purely game related site - but that’s something that will happen later rather than sooner. Having said that, I’m going to start moving this site in a new direction. I’m aiming at being a bit more versatile with my post topics. I definitely want to start posting more on WordPress and site development, but I’d also like to get into things like GTD processes and other things. Over the next few days, certainly running into the new year, you should start seeing some major changes. I hope you like it. Advertisement: diggIntegrator: digg plugin for

blog | Slight Change In Layout
I spent a little time today reworking the layout of the blog. Nothing is drastically new, though it should be easier to bookmark the blog, subscribe to the feed, and add AYT as a Technorati favorite. And if you're reading this, have a blog, and haven't linked here, throw me a bone. As I think we all know, I'm not that skilled with crafting websites. With that in mind, how does it look. Any sidebars jumping to the bottom of the page, etc.? Even though I spent more time on form than content, I need to pass these two links along. The first is about Paul House, a man who shouldn't be on death row. The second displays why the role of the bishop is important, and a bishop that has his head on straight.[America's Young Theologian][Theology][Blog]

      Slight Hiatus
I'll be able to post probably tomorrow, thursday and possibly friday, but then I will be heading for a cruise for a week, and will not be posting. Sorry for the lax posts lately to anyone reading, but after I come back I'll have tons of angry editorials on stupid (yet important) stories.Anyway, for some fun, here is Star Wars if made in the silent film era:I found another version, not nearly as good, but still, it kills time and that's what's important, this one is about the torrid love affair between Padme and Anakin, enjoy:
