It seems like real estate is meaner than ever these days. Buyers and sellers bickering over little stuff (like the cost of a broken window) as well as big stuff (who pays the bill for the new sewer line?). Nobody wants to agree to pre-possession or post-possession which means everyone needs to live in a moving van while all parties are at attorney offices conducting the closing procedures! Redtown: Artsy, stylish and new for Shanghai.So I work in this new complex in Shanghai called "Redtown". It's pretty nice and large, tons of bricks and stuff like there. It's a lot like Xintiandi nightlife and Moganshanlu art mixed together. Soulfire's office is here and there several other clubs and museums near by. The whole section is new and there's still some construction going on so tons of dust and stuff like that... But give it another year and it's going to look like a billion bucks. Lots of cool structures within the complex, a few trees here and there and a great grassy space (see above). I really like the red brick buildings. It's funky.For all you folks looking to get premiun land in Shanghai for your business Redtown is the place, but I can bet you it will cost a pretty penny. On top of that, we got some big gov't buildings near by. This place IS important.

Dentist Day today, so even though I've caught up with my sleep I was up a bit later than normal so I could spend a full half hour scrubbing my molars clean. I provided the packed waiting room with some entertainment upon my arrival, however. After I gave my name I went to sit down, but due to the lack of seating in the reception area, I had to squeeze into a double-seater next to an old woman.I sat down and my left elbow crashed off their tall standing glass cabinet causing it to rock back and hit the wall. As it rocked forward again, the sudden intake of air into everyone's lungs caused a mini vacuum to occur, as we all waited to see if the cabinet was going to tip over and smash. It never, thankfully, and I managed to stabilise it once the shock had passed.Two old woman, including the one next to me, fought hard to stifle their laughter, and I was glad the dentist called me shortly after so I could hide my blushes in another room.
