Either he was just trying to think outside the square or perhaps visited NZ on a holiday and saw the Jennian Homes TV add. You know the one where a family arrives, while the Display Home salesperson is hammering in the sign, with the intent to camp out in a Jennian Showhome for the night, [...]

The Canadian housing market is slowly shifting towards a buyers market, which often means buyers have greater negotiation power when it comes to price or the ability to squeeze out extra perks from sellers. So should buyers ask to sleep over ? and should sellers agree?
From the buyers’ perspective it is an excellent opportunity to [...]

Last weekend, my Godmomie Latoya & Godpopie Justin came over and took me to their house for another sleepover. While I was there, I met a new friend and her name is "Tava". We had a lot of fun playing together and I want you to meet her too. My Godmomie took some pics of us and sent them to Grammy and Mommy in something called an "email" so we could put them on our blogs.Click here to see more
The girls slept over again Friday night. These are Hellena's shoes. No tennis shoes for her.
They brought some Krispy Kreme donuts (my favorite), strawberries and a Korean snack. We ordered delivery for dinner. We had a great time again.
Below is a favorite video of mine from the 80's, Tracy Ullman's "They Don't Know."

My daughter has 6 pals over for her "sleepover birthday party." I find it odd that I am surprised. I am surprised that all six of my daughter's friends share certain personality traits. Vociferous, opinionated and confident. It is alarming combination especially when there are so many of them. I thought I knew them all quite well already but they are different creatures in a school setting. They are different creatures when they visit us for an individual play date. En masse they are impressive. I have only two priorities for this venture, that my daughter enjoys her birthday celebration and that the boys keep their nether regions covered, anything else is a windfall. It is immediately apparent that the latter may affect the former."Geez, put yur shirts on why dontcha,†demands a youthful nine year old. Neither boy pays her any heed. California in December may have an occasional chill, but inside it is balmy."I SAID put yur shirts on!†she repeats more loudly with
Q. I'm in a serious relationship with a man. But my son's anxieties hit new highs when my friend stays more than an hour after dinner. What can I do to meet both my needs and honor my son's fears?
A. This situation can be tricky to navigate. It requires patience and understanding on everyone's part. If this is a serious relationship it is definitely worth taking it slow and giving your son opportunities to adapt and learn to trust this new adult in his life. Your son will need to learn through experience that this new relationship is not going to diminish or replace your love for him. Have your friend spend time alone doing guy things with your son. Give them opportunities to build their own relationship. Do things together, go on outings, have fun together, "show" your son that this friend is adding richness to both of your lives.
It's a difficult situation and one in which could cause some anger and resentment if you feel like you have to compromise beyond what you
You may wish to read "this" first.I decide it’s not a misnomer afterall. It is completely accurate. Someone visits your home to have a sleepover and sleep is… well and truly over. My typical girl and her pal do not sleep during the night. My atypical boys are out cold by 10. They share the same bed, parked like railway coaches on sleepers. I sleep briefly here and there, in between whiles. I should be far better at this but I’m not. I awake, dash down stairs, but I’ve missed them. The telly is still on, the couch is still warm, but they’re back upstairs again. I can hear the floorboards creak as they jump from the mattress on the bed to the mattress on the floor. I run back upstairs to curb the gymnastics. I’m happy for them to expend the energy but I worry about broken limbs.I learn something new. Having spent half my childhood in Boarding school I thought I was fully equipped with extensive knowledge of what a sleepover entails. My version of an imaginary s
I got home last night and Maya was watching Hannah Montana…I’m not sure exactly how much she likes this show, but her cousin Hannah loves it, so if it is what the big girls that like the color pink are watching, we are watching it too.
Daddy: Where’s Demetrius?
Mommy: Guess what?
I blink, go ahead Kim, drop it on me….
Mommy: Demetrius is having a sleepover at Eric’s!
Now, for those of you not in ‘the know’ Eric is the little boy the next street over that’s in Demetrius’ class at school, and attends all the superhero movie debuts with us at the local cinema (SpiderMan, Fantastic Four and the like).
Spur of the moment, Super D was over there playing and Eric’s mommy just asked if he wanted to stay the night.
We ate dinner and then gathered Demetrius’ sleeping bag, toothbrush, change of clothes, PJs and delivered the goods. Of course, when we got over there, Kim and Maya shot right out of the car. Maya needed to investigate (is it more fun than I’m having? W
People and companies will produce the wackiest commercials that can draw attention anywhere worldwide. Sleepovers are normal and a good point to build on.
However, while sleepovers are technically a good adventure, people who find them sleeping and entrusting themselves at the hands of their friends of other houses may want to think twice. They may see something different in the morning when they wake up!

We all get to a point where we want to sleep at our friend’s place, with the express permission of our parents of course. But seriously, when we sleepover, do we get the proper amount of sleep?
Well here is something to watch when people, especially the kids, sleepover their friend’s place courtesy of Kelloggs cornflakes. Generally we do not sleep at all but simply looking for adventure and something different!

Well, Oldest Princess's sleepover was a success. One girl couldn't make it she just had the 2 friends over. They were very good, but didn't get to sleep until after 4. I kept waking up all night, but not really because of them. I heard talking, but I never once had to say....be quiet!!! But, with all that being said, I slept REALLY well last night. LOL
I have been so busy for the past couple of weeks that I forgot to confess to what happened after Mum and Dad collected me from Alison's after my sleepover there. I trotted over happily with Alison to meet them, of course they all stood chatting and I waited patiently as usual. But when we got in the car I was so happy to be back with Mum and Dad that I got anxious again. I'm not proud of this, it's just to warn other dogs' families of what they can expect. I was very thirsty and I drank almost the whole of my travelling water bowl, but then I was whining - Mum said it was like a kind of dog panic attack. I could not settle down, and they were getting quite worried. In the end they stopped and got a bag of crisps (potato chips), which I ate really fast and then I calmed down. I think I had been really worried even though Alison and her dogs were all lovely and I got on well with Paddy, her house mate. But this was the first time I was away form Mum and Dad. Mum says I have

What really happened when I stayed over with Alison? Mum and Dad enjoyed their wedding reception cos Alison sent them a photo of me eating my dinner. I was fine during the evening and I was pleased to find my familiar bed at the end of the evening. When the lights went out I realised that Mum and Dad were not coming back and I got a bit restless. Alison understands dogs, so she let me out for a quick pee and I was fairly relaxed through the night.

If you go to Orlando to visit the Disney Theme Parks, you will have heard a lot about the Disney hotels - do they offer the best deal for your trip? There are pros and cons to this: Staying on-site means you do not have to travel each day, and you may spend more time in the parks. But the off-site hotels have a lot to offer as well. Non-Disney hotels are usually cheaper to stay, and most of the hotels have more guest facilities on offer. These are larger hotels, as a rule - if you are planning a long stay in Orlando you will certainly appreciate this. If you have children did you know that the Disney hotels allow a maximum of four people in a room? If you stay off-site, say at Kissimmee hotels, you can fit five or sometimes six into one room, making a big saving on room costs.
My job provided an unexpected perk last night. What started out as a passing whim in conversation a couple of months ago actually and thankfully came to fruition. And we owe it all to a ghost…
With several loyal readers (ok, so maybe they’re also good friends), I spent the night in the Hill House at Thomas Fogarty Winery. At the end of my tasting room workday, I was met by a co-worker/friend and the teacher. We carted our supplies over to the events area, and I got to it at once in the kitchen I’ve had my mind set to cook in. While the spaghetti sauce simmered on the stove, we sipped on 2000 TF Blanc de Blancs and planned, waiting for the others.
The story goes that there is a ghost who haunts the events area. I knew of the man who died during a wedding reception (heart attack, I believe), but Dr. Fogarty also told us about a bootlegger who used to live in a little shack up on the mountain and make his whiskey back in the day.
Tales abound about the sounds of doo

My brother and sis-in-law had to go out of town friday night and won't be back until Sunday morning. Two of the three cousins are here, sleeping over. It's the first one. So far, it's been good. The older cousin (4 yrs) tries to throw a fit when things don't go his way. He's tired, so he's being passive-aggressive. Right now they are fighing over the covers. oh well. It's somewhat quiet fighting. I hope I get more sleep tonight than last. I've been kinda lethargic all day and I need my energy tomorrow, because they will be here ALL DAY. Not that I don't want them to be. I was just really tired to start with today. The reason I was so tired is I had my first game night last night. Four ladies plus myself. They each brought two kids, and one brought three. Well, there's also a one month old, but he doesn't count. He was attached to his mommy the whole time. So, that was a total of 11 kids! But it really didn't seem like that many. It was fun. We'll start d
