There have been many sketchup models exported to google earth, from novice modelers to advanced professionals, they are all unique. I found this presentation to be a good example of a fly-through, produced using sketchup as the main software. I have personally used sketchup on 4 occasions, and it got the job done for its purpose. I have never done movie presentations using this software but as you can see, it is possible and it looks good in my humble opinion. What I like the most is the fact that it has that fluid look to it. Go SketchUp!

  No solo me entero recién que Google ´tenía una tienda, llamada, muy originalente, Google Store, sino que dicha tienda, al parecer, tiene varios artículos interesantes para todos los Google fanboys. Productos que van desde medias con la marca, pasando por vasos, cuadernos, lapiceros, un usb de 128 MB (si… parece que no lo actualizan hace siglos), y otras cosas, hasta el mouse 3D para Google Earth, recientemente lanzado . El producto lo pueden encontrar aquí, y básicamente, nos ofrece una, en palabras de ellos mismos, “libertad de movimiento en aplicaciones 3D como ningun otro aparato”. If you haven’t tried it out yet, I highly suggest you install it (Windows and OS X versions available) and check out the quick start video tutorials on Google’s site. Let your customers do the job. When you're nothing but an empty shell, where can you get substance for a better price ? Google Earth was a really smart move to aggregate content and value but it takes time to build a virtual world... so why not ask your visitors to build their ownhomes ? See SK Telecom : an army of minimes designing their own environments and even paying for the virtual stuff they add (show me the acorns : cyworld's totoris) !Google may not end up hammering down competitors with YouTube, they keep giving their users potentially dangerous tools and Google SketchUp, an easy-to-learn 3D modeling program, could turn as addictive as Earth or even Hell.
