      Situational Depression And Life Insurance!
I doubt there are any of us who have not been through some period of situational depression and while depression can come in many colors and sizes, I think it is important to define it and talk about it in the context of life insurance. Common causes of situational depression are the loss of a loved [...]

      Treating situational anxiety
London RT. Former Texas Sen. Phil Gramm's recent comment that we are in the midst of a "mental recession" did not go over well on the campaign trail. However, we psychiatrists know that today in America, we do find ourselves in a state of national anxiety. We are in the midst of a financial crisis that appears to have affected many walks of life. Job loss, fear of job loss, and excessively high fo

      DEMOCRATIC SITUATIONAL RULES
The Florida and Michigan delegate mess (a mess of the dems own making) has been brought to an even messier (and irrational) conclusion. It all started early in the process when-in his profound wisdom- DNC Chair Howard Dean told the voters in two of America's top 4 battleground states that their votes wouldn't matter because they violated the Democrats sacred primary schedule. Not only is this eroti

      The Situational Style: Appropriate Use
Organizations are constantly changing and leadership styles must change with it. Constant change often brings with it situations where companies can act decisively to gain competitive advantage. However, the older styles of leadership may not be up to the task when it comes to motivating employees and producing organizations where innovation is possible. Situational leadership is a new concept to describe older truths about leadership within organizations. Situational leadership is said to be represented in the continuities of human thinking about leadership in the Bible as far back as 3600 years ago (Abramson, 2007). The style is a leader who develops people by using authority, accepting responsibility and behaving according to ethical standards. Leadership styles are based upon the needs

      Situational zero tolerance
In Hillsborough schools, zero tolerance means different things. When it comes to firearms and threats, zero tolerance means zero tolerance. That's the law in Florida. On other offenses - such as battery, drugs and alcohol - the district's zero tolerance policy requires that an incident will be fully investigated, not that all students will receive the harshest punishment across the board. Several middle and high school principals told School Board members that they like the policy at a workshop on Tuesday. The Board wanted to make sure that students and parents understand exactly what it means. School officials also shared some statistics why students are getting in trouble. Top offenses are inappropriate conduct (34,070), tardiness (29,346), disobedience (18,838) and disruptive behavior (16,064). Administrators pledged to work with principals to achieve greater consistency how behaviors are logged in and punished, as well as to seek targeted interventions at schools where large

      Situational Ethics And Illegal Immigration
Any criminal can reform and become an outstanding citizen. All Germans weren't Gestapo agents, members of the dreaded SS, brutal and barbaric to conquered peoples, or responsible for the horror of the Holocaust. However, do we conclude just because one German or a few were good, decent and humane that their crimes as a nation should be excused and ignored? Do we ignore and pardon the crimes of those who were actually guilty of these atrocities? No..we do not and should not. Situational ethics is a dangerous intellectual game. Either you enforce our laws or repeal them. Once the law has been adhered to, then we can discuss in an intelligent and forthright manner any extenuating circumstances. Not before. This is the essence of true justice. If illegal aliens were sincere in their intentions, they would confess their crime of illegal entry and throw themselves on the mercy and justice of the American people. I'm certain they would find sympathizers. Such acts
