I've rewritten the about me page and added a separate section on the site, following suggestions from Rhiannon's review of CB. Site Updates
There’s some exciting things afoot for this website. With the addition of new staff (and all of those who offered to help, thank you! I’ll be in touch soon) I’ve found a lot more motivation. It’s amazing what a little help can do. One of the things this is leading to is a complete overhaul of the backend of the website. The benefit for every one is that it will be completely and totally controlled from a control panel, which is not 100% true of the site currently (aside from news posts and some custom work done by Alan). The hope for this is that, essentially, anyone can be taught to update every function of this site with extremely minimal, basic HTML knowledge (and even most of that can be copied and pasted from example elsewhere on the site). This should lead to far quicker updates (particularly in terms of the game pages as they’ll be the most affected by this), amongst other perks. The benefit for users beyond this is a lot of neat little options that

      Site Updates & User Registration
Hey all, As you must have noticed, AdvancedQTP is getting busier by the day, as evident by the user count and daily pageviews growth. While we're delighted with the situation, it does have certain drawbacks, such as the site's slow load-time, our inability to invest our time (=money) in developing quality content or respond to your questions in a timely fashion. These are some of the reasons we've decided to take the site more seriously, which means (among other things) moving to a decent server, building a professional infrastructure and adding more features and services to the site. However, these things cost money, and quite a lot of it. As it's one of AdvancedQTP's core principles to share our content for free, it's pretty obvious that we won't ask YOU for the money, but rather some sponsor or endorser. In order for us to do so, we need to better map the site's target audience and visitors, which means we need to know a little more about you. How will this be done? As of

      Site Updates
Here are just a couple of quick updates as to what I have been adding and trying out at my main site www.weightlossweapons.com as well as here on the blog. I have added a new page called Strength Training. It basically outlines the best exercises to build strength using just your bodyweight. I am a big fan of bodyweight exercises mainly because anyone can do them, you don’t need to go to a gym and they get results. So check it out and let me know what you think.  Increased Traffic The Traffic on the blog has picked up quite a bit since I added the FREE Blogrush link widget. The idea behind this is that you show blog posts from other sites on your related subject (here would be health, weight loss and fitness related posts). You earn credits based on the amount of traffic you have.  Every credit you earn means that one of your posts will show up in the widget on someone else’s blog. This can really increase your sites exposure. The best part is the referral program. If another bl

We’re getting a lot of feedback from our members about various features that would make the site even better, and we always listen to new ideas, so here’s a quick rundown of what’s going on behind the scenes, and what you can expect to see in the coming weeks.. Membership periods - The signup form for freelance accounts now lets you choose a membership length of 6 months, 1 year or 2 years, which allows more control over recurring payments. Anyone who signed up for 1 year before this change will have the option to change this by contacting us. Spam, Spam Spametty Spam -  Not really a problem on the site (only 1 job listing was removed for spam so far) but it is becoming a problem on the contact form, so we’re adding a CAPTCHA and blacklist. So once that’s in, if you want to contact us via the website, you’ll have to do one of those squiggly word things. Sorry! Just to let you know: I’m updating the sections of this site that still do not work properly. There’s been some dead links and empty sections for a while. Site Updates: Downtime Ending
I wanted to address some of the “downtime” this site has had recently. Obviously it’s been accessible, but it’s not been updated as often as I would have liked. This is being rectified by a couple of things: Restructuring of the staff. My current main assistant, Traci, will see her role in the site increase. In addition, there are finally some others interested in helping with updates to the site. I expect that this will play the biggest part in keeping the site well maintained as, frankly, it’s quite hard to do by yourself. Other web site commitments I’ve been involved with are essentially over. Digital Devil Database, currently, is the only “hobby” project I am involved with and therefore will receive a lot more of my attention. My actual job is relaxing some and will seemingly remain as such for most of the year. Good news. Essentially this site will again become the priority it was for me in earlier this year when the switch to the

Site Updates - Real Estate Videos Section Added
You may have noticed that the site has undergone some cosmetic changes in the past couple of days. I would like to make everyone aware of a few other changes that may not be so apparent. The most significant change that I have made is the addition of the “Real Estate Videos” link to the header of the homepage. As you might guess, the link directs you to a page which displays various real estate videos, with the most recently posted video displayed first. These videos are searchable in a few different ways. The best way to search for a video is using the catalog pull-down menu along the right-hand side of the page. There you can search for property videos by zip code, neighborhood, and type of property (condo, single family, etc). The ability to search by number of bedrooms, price and more shall be added in the coming days. This type of search is made possible through the use of tags. I will utilize tags to make searching as efficient and effortless as possible. Th

Hola! Just a quick note to tell you a couple of updates I made for JustWandering.org: Resized the Dash Media badge. It’s making my site load oddly in Internet Explorer. Since it really is in bad form to tell my viewers to use Firefox when viewing my site, I’d have to make adjustments so nobody is excluded. The layout is currently working properly in IE7, Opera 9.1 and Mozilla Firefox 2.0. Though I think the real issue is the dead link on that bardge Created a contact page. There had been more than one occasion when readers commented that they don’t know how to get in touch with me. Now you can stalk me with your heart’s desire! Site Updates: Lightbox Plus, Screen Galleries and Missing Sections
I’ve gotten a few e-mails asking where some of our older game sections are. Part of the reason it is taking so long for these sections to appear on the new design is due to some changes in construction of stuff behind the scenes. Our resident programmer, Alan, recently created new image gallery software that has been implemented into the site. He’s tweaked some random things for me and I think we’re both happy with the final result. Now that this is finished, there’s more reason to actually bother with the additional sections. If we were to make the sections beforehand, it would pretty much double the work involved. It just didn’t really seem worthwhile. The result of that specifically is that gallery pages (screen shots, merchandise, art, etc.) in individual game sections now display differently. They still make use of thumbnails, but we now have something called Lightbox Plus enabled when viewing the large versions. You can read more about that on our ab

But yeah, hope to kick off a giveaway by the end of April!Enjoy the new design for the time being though. =).

First of all, I'd like to point out that you can now access this site via both http://www.dominateagloco.com/ and http://dominateagloco.com/. There was an issue with the redirect and forwarding that I hadn't noticed, but it's all been cleared up now :)You may have noticed some new "New Server - xx.xx% there!" text on the right-hand sidebar. That's just that - I'm saving up for a server using Lunar Pages. The money earned from the ads goes straight towards this, and when it reaches 100%, I'll move the blog to the new server. A new server will enable a few things on the blog:For starters, it will (hopefully) be faster than Blogger (my current host), so you'll be able to get your AGLOCO referral tips with increased speed, which should help you save those precious seconds of referral time.Secondly, one word: Wordpress. Once I have Dominate AGLOCO being run by Wordpress, I'll be able to modify it completely to my liking, be able to have different pages, archives, sections, categorie
