by: Teri WortenSingle moms, more so than anyone, have to be exceedingly careful about the type of man they select as life-long partners. No sensible woman wants to be judged soley on her appearence or sex appeal, right? Moreoever, who would even want a man mostly interested in sex without a real commitment, right again? These questions create an age-old conundrum. Exactly, how does one find a guy

The first thing Bridget Moynahan did when she returned home from the hospital last August with her newborn son, John Edward Thomas, was cry. Uncontrollably. "Everyone says, "You give birth, you go home, and you have this amazing baby and it's just beautiful,'" says the 37-year-old Massachusetts-raised model turned actress. "And I walked in and I just started

I think my way of handling (or not handling) home improvements is fairly typical for single women who own their own homes. Hopefully, my experiences will help you navigate the waters of home improvement.

These last few months I feel like I’ve had to turn the Winnebago of my life around and head in a completely different direction. The landscape has changed and I’m trying to become accustomed to this new view. During a consultation with a lawyer I was told the people who best endure divorce do so by looking forward, not back. “You need to have a vision,” he said. “Of what you’d like your life to be.”I’ve thought a lot about his advice. So much so that I’ve decided to create this, my Soon-to-Be Single Mom Manifesto. It’s only a draft, as is my life.1. I will continue to work from home.I want to minimize the impact of this divorce on my kids. Divorce is one of those major life changes, right? As is moving. As is going from having a stay-at-home mom to a working mom. As is suddenly having to spend lots of time with a sitter or daycare provider. I figure my kids should only have to endure one of those at a time. The truth is, I’m not raking in the dough as a freelance

Hi,
I am a single mom. I need to move out of this school district for too many reasons to list. My youngest son is going into 8th grade. I have had my house on the market since the spring and I have lowered the price 3 times. I have it listed with 2 Christian realtors. I have to sell, find a home to rent, pack, close and move by 9/3/07 in time for my son to be registered in a new school so I am not committing truancy. Please please pray for a buyer or a renter to come to my home so my sons and I can move on and rebuild our lives since their step dad disserted us 4 years ago. He was a Christian that fell away from Christ. We are looking to rent a home for a year or so.
Thank you,

Innocent Target of File-Sharing Lawsuit Racked Up Legal Fees Fighting Baseless ChargesThe Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) should pay for a single mom's two-year legal ordeal fighting a baseless file-sharing lawsuit, the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) told Washington state court in an amicus brief filed last week. The nightmare began for Dawnell Leadbetter in January of 2005, when she received a letter from the RIAA that accused her of illegally downloading copyrighted music and claimingshe owed hundreds of thousands of dollars. Leadbetter contacted the RIAA to deny the baseless claims, and she refused to pay any settlement monies. In response, the RIAA sued Leadbetter, and Leadbetter hired an attorney to fight the charges. After months of legal wrangling, the RIAA finally dropped the case in December of 2006. But in the meantime, Leadbetter had incurred significant attorney's fees."Ms. Leadbetter isn't the only innocent Internet user that has been ensnared by t
