Can anyone for one second really buy how “sincere” Adam “Pacman” Jones was in his recent purchase of a full-page ad saying how he would regain the trust of the fans and his team? Jones, who has had to talk to police on 10 different occasions due to run-ins with the law, stated that he will appeal his suspension which currently has him missing the entire 2007 season with the Titans.
The letter to the paper states that in the past few weeks, Jones has “learned a lifetime of lessions.” It says that he will “stop making poor choices that have put him in his position,” and that he is going to re-enroll and West Virgina Univ. and finish his degree. NFL commish Roger Goodell did recently say that Jones may be able to come back to playing after 10 games if he meets certain requirments.
The issue to me with Jones is if this is just a ploy to try and make him look good to the commish as well as those in power that put this year-long s
I just wanted to take a moment and thank the Mondesi's House readers for all of the emails I've received this week in regard to my mailbag column on Wednesday. While at the hospital to be examined for a fall, doctors discovered a 2 cm tumor on my future mother-in-law's brain. Within just a few days, it was apparent that she would need brain surgery to remove the mass. Luckily, being from Pittsburgh, there is never a shortage of incredible doctors. She was operated on by Dr. Amin Kassam, who is basically the Michael Jordan of brain surgery. Kassam pioneered a minimally-invasive surgery to remove tumors through the nose as opposed to an incision. We were very fortunate to be paired with Dr. Kassam for this procedure. While this is a difficult time, I am a positive person and cite all the things that I consider "lucky" in her situation, such as the minor accident that took us to the hospital, the fact that the tumor was benign and completely removed, and the excellent and timely work
