What's life without a li'l drama? Sorry I haven't been posting lately, but rest assured I haven't gone cold on my photography. Took this picture last weekend on our little trip to Lian, Batangas. I asked my best friend to pose for me, facing the sun, so that I could make her a great silhouette and, thus the result. As I have said before, I love shooting sunrises and sunsets. Some people even call it the magic hours of the day. The color and mood is really great. This was taken a few minutes after sunrise. I woke up pretty early waiting for the sunrise. I had several shot, but alas, my friends are all still asleep, so I had no subject whom I can ask to pose. I had to improvise, nonetheless I got the shot I wanted. Everyone knows I love the little details but sometimes the little details are less important than the overall silhouette. I think this is a perfect example - the pleating details are only important for the overall shape that it gives the skirt. Any additional hardware or trims would just distract from the simple, beautiful lines.
I really love this picture although its just take with CANON Power Shot G6 (not a DLSR camera) still It's included in the list of my most loved pictures. It's taken at the Boulevard in Cebu City when the sun was about to set. Their faces are not visible here since I took this against the light but the set up was really great that it turned our to be a good picture- a Silhouette at Sunset.

Inspired from all the "paper cut outs" I've seen lately, I decided to make one into a Valentines card. I figured out an easy way to turn ones photo into a silhouette cut out. The possibilities with this technique are endless. Directions below.Cut a person out of a photo. Trace the person onto card stock with pencil lightly. *The heavier the card stock the better.With an x-acto knife cut out the shape of the person. Keep all the little bumps and lumps (don't try to smooth them out) , that's what makes the silhouette more realistic. After, erase the pencil mark.When you get to the feet, you'll have to decide where to stop cutting(refer to picture). Fold the image up. Done

Here's what you need to know to create a super-flattering silhouette whenever you wear separates.
Separates can be used to create practically any shape… good, bad or downright odd.
That makes them a little bit trickier to wear than a dress, because any well-designed dress has a flattering silhouette already created for you. So when you put it on, as long as the shape of the dress complements your own shape you look fab.
When you wear separates, you have more control over the shape of your outfit, which also gives you far more scope to go wrong. Wear a skirt that adds a lot of weight to your behind with a top that down-plays your bust and you’re instantly pear-shaped, no matter what your natural shape.

When I visited eHarlequin I was all but slobbering with the discovery of this particular series and promised that I would have a submission to them by the end of next month.To my surprise while shopping tonight, I found the series!
