El juego, estaría programado para ser lanzado durante marzo de 2008, sin especificar día alguno, aunque por otro lado, el juego, supuestamente estaría siendo desarrollado por Climax, bajo la supervisión directa de Konami.
Ni Sony, ni tampoco los muchachos de Konami han comentado algo sobre dicho rumor, aunque tomando como punto de referencia los GTA, algunos han aparecido primero en la portátil PSP y luego llegan a la consola PS2.

The Silent Hill video game series is one of Konami's great hits to date, stretching back all the way to 1999 when the first one came out and another sequel on the way next year. One of the most notable part of the game is the fog-shrouded environments, you know what I'm talking about, the claustrophobic interiors in pitch black setting that limits your visibility to about an 8 foot radius around the character. To celebrate the recent release of Silent Hill Origins on the PSP I’ll share this little fan film I made a while back as a tribute to the series. The PSP version has gotten some pretty bad reviews, and I haven’t played it, or even own a PSP, but it’s still good to know the series is alive and kicking, and twitching, and bleeding.It was completely shot with a Canon PowerShot A540 digital camera, with the help of my wife, sister and niece. Video game movies are still big business, and rightfully so considering the success of the Silent Hill and Resident Evil film franchises (among others). And despite the director of the first Silent Hill film, Christophe Gans (as well as that movie’s screenwriter Roger Avery) leaving the Silent Hill film franchise, Sony Pictures will still be making a Silent Hill 2 movie (This in addition to the Tekken movie).
Gans however will not be leaving the realm of video game movies entirely. It has just been announced that Gains will be adapting Capcom’s Onimusha game series into a new Onimusha flick, thanks to his successful work on the Silent Hill movie.

In this post we feature a video of Konami’s E3 presentation of Silent Hill 5 for the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360.
The game does look like it is going to be very good, while some gamers are comparing Silent Hill 5 to RE5, I feel they are a little of as RE5 is an action game now with horror elements while SH5 is a purist’s definition of a horror game, meaning ghosts, demons and gore.
Time well tell if its going to be better than Silent Hill 4, although this is a game my wife could never sit and play (way to scary for her, especially with all that ambience pulling you into the game).

This may be old news to some... Or maybe not. But the Silent Hill Arcade game official site has been updated with the release date for the game. Silent Hill will be released across arcades in Japan on July 25th. Though a lot of the impressions about the game have been mediocre from people claiming that it seems to go against the Silent Hill framework, I'm personally interested in seeing what they do with the game simply because the videos posted by Arcade Heroes honestly have intrigued me.Though there isn't much of the way of details about the game itself, there is a series of random photographs that cycle through the big eye on the site. Most images are predictable creatures you will find in the game, nurses, shamblers, etc. But out of nowhere probably the creepiest creature I have ever seen appeared. What was it you may ask? A bunny with a chainsaw. I kid you not (see below for the image).The official site for the game can be found here.

Bien, muchas grescas se han generado tratando de elegir cual es mejor. Resident Evil? Silent Hill? Y bueno, parece que otra vez el fanatismo por ambas marcas volverá, ya que hoy, en la E3, fueron presentados los dos nuevos trailers de ambos juegos.
Resident Evil 5
Esta vez, la historia se desarollará en un pueblo africano… y no me queda claro si lo que se mostró en el trailer es CG (o sea, escenas renderizadas), o si son elaboradas por el engine del juego. Lamentablemente, mucho no revela Capcom, y era de esperar, pues el juego estará disponible, recién, en abril del 2008, según JPjuegos

Arcade Heroes has posted up their initial impressions of Silent Hill: The Arcade Game. It seems that Konami has decided to expand their testing grounds of the game a bit and open it up to the UK audience to see just how well the game is received by arcade goers. I'm a bit jealous personally. I'm a huge fan of the survival horror series, and though I've questioned how well it would translate into a traditional light-gun action game, it seems that it will at least be a satisfying romp for a short time.You can check out their report here. They promise some gameplay videos as well, so I can't wait to see the game in action.I know in some of the Japanese location tests fans were a bit let down by the Playstation 2 graphics and distinctly un-Silent Hill-esque feel. Akira Yamaoka, el productor de la saga de los mejores juegos de terror, Silent Hill, ha dicho que la nueva secuela tendrá una ambientación y comportamiento de personajes más parecidos a Silent Hill 2.
Buenas noticias? Pues depende de qué tanto les haya gustado la segunda parte de esta saga. Personalmente, debo admitir que fue mi favorita, no sólo porque fue una de las más escalofriantes (aunque el original Silent Hill daba más terror), sino porque los personajes estaban mucho mejor realizados que en las subsiguientes versiones. Silent Hill 3 se sentía más el típico adventure game con ciertas dosis de horror, y Silent Hill 4, pues, me hizo más bostezar, que otra cosa (y finalmente, ni llegué a terminarlo). Silent Hill 2, por otro lado, tiene a un complejo e interesante personaje principal (James), muy buena historia e interesantes e inesperados twists en la historia.
Así que sí, supongo que, al menos para mí, el hecho de que Silent Hill 5 se apegue más al tipo de narra

Bin echt mal gespannt, wie das Spiel werden wird. Ob die Entwickler "The Collective" die Qualität der Serie erhalten können, steht noch in den Sternen. Aber ich befürchte nichts gutes! Aber eine Chance bekommt das Spiel trotzdem! Es wird für die Xbox 360 und PS3 erscheinen.

Tubbypaws zollt mit diesem süßen Bastelbogen, einem der wohl besten Horrorspiele aller Zeiten - Silent Hill 2 -, einen niedlichen Tribut. Ich hab' jetzt keine Zeit mehr, ich muss basteln:
