I’ve been spending a lot of time in Gmail lately and have been very happy with it since the introduced the ability for Gmail to collect your mail from up to 5 other POP3 accounts.
While the “pop” functionality is great, I still find it hard to reconcile the fact that while adding this feature, nobody appears to have considered that multiple pop accounts might require multiple signatures.
It really does put a damper on the whole thing if you have to copy and past a signature in each time you use a different account.
There are ways around this.
If you use Firefox could use Greasemonkey and a script such as “Gmail Tweaks: Multiple Signatures“.
I’m sure there are similar scripts available for other browsers but the problem is that these scripts are useless to the average user.

I recently read an article on Lifehacker about managing multiple e-mail signatures and started lamenting my own lack of a decent one.
For the past few days it’s been floating around in the back of my head and I’ve started wondering whether or not I should put one together. Before I dive into creating an e-mail signature, though, I thought I’d just ask if anyone out there uses them and what they usually include?

I love Gmail and use it as a repository for most of my email accounts. However there are two things that bother me and make sending email from Gmail a little frustrating.
The first is that I can only define 1 email signature. I have multiple email accounts, and Gmail allows me to send using multiple email addresses, so why not have multiple signatures?
Second, and most frustrating is that I can’t include html in my existing signature. If I were to use Gmail to send from one of my company accounts, the signature could not include the company logo, or any other object that I wished to include such as the FeedBurner headline animator. The only way to do it at the moment is to copy and paste the html into the message itself.
Come on Google, I know I’m not the only one looking for this feature.
