Commendations for Brewster Sightseeing Tour Driver
I would like to state flat-out that Brian Standish was by far the 'best' Brewster driver I have ever had. All the drivers I have had in the past were excellent, but Brian was just phenomenal. His vast knowledge of the area mixed in with humourous commentary and his extreme care for each of the clients individually made him a very respectable driver in my eyes. As for the sights, they were very nice as always. After talking with some co-passengers, I came to realize just how much they appreciate the Canadian Rockies, so it was nice to see them from a tourist's perspective. The Banff Gondola staff were great, paths were clean, and the service was very speedy. They got through 2 or 3 tour buses in mere minutes, which was very impressive. I met some long-lost friends up at the Cave & Basin as well, so that was a neat addition to the sightseeing tour. Altogether though, despite me being able to see these sights every day, Brian Standish was able to make this 'routine' experience, en

      New York sightseeing tours
New York sightseeing tours come in all shapes and sizes but one thing to remember is that New York is one of those cities that is “almost” walkable but just that tiny bit too large to let you walk around all the sights without you ending up totally exhausted at the end of everyday and still managing to see everything. This is where the coach tours come in of course and one of the best choices in that line is from the open topped double decker buses from City Sites NY. New York can be a bit stiffling in the Summer so you’re generally carted around in airconditioned coaches but it’s a lot more pleasant in the open topped variety. The tours include entrance fees to the major sights that you’d want to see.  If you have a LOT of stamina, the Super NY Tour is brilliant but we tried something similar a few years ago and, believe me, it’s seriously exhausting if you want to make the most of it. Don’t forget too that NY is quite close to the likes of B

The best tips for Chiang Mai Thailand sightseeing Part5
San Kamphaeng hot water springs When you like nature, silence, health and natural wellbeing, you should make an excursion to the San Kamphaeng Hot water spring. This beautifull parc with plenty of trees, flowers and picnicking space, is situated about 25 km east from Bo Sang. (The Umbrella village) Bosang is about 20 km east from Chiang Mai. It is easily to do, when for example you’ll visit Bo Sang and some handycraft centers on this road in the morning, and in the afternoon the hot springs for relaxing. You can take a dive in the hotwater swimming pool, but attention, the water is somewhat more then 40 C., so go slowly inside to pool. Once in the hot water; just relax under the hot waterfall. Entrance fee is not expensive, every Thai family will buy at the entrance some eggs and borrow a basket to boil some eggs for lunch. When you are travelling with 5-6 persons, you can rent also a privat big bathroom and have a closed hot water bath and relax. (200 bath/hr.) By Tedsocoa

Maesa Camp Elephant Show There are two elephant shows in Chiang Mai and we did both: 1. Chiang Dao elephant show, then bamboo rafting, then lunch, then elephant ride, then ox-car ride. All this in the same camp, then we went to an orchird farm and we were returned by 5 pm more or less. 2. Maesa Camp elephant show. It’s a half day tour and they also take you to an orchid farm. The first tour is much better because you have many activities in only one place, the show is very entertaining and cute, the paintings were beautiful. The bamboo rafting is very pleasant, calm and relaxing. The lunch was fine and the farm wonderful. Ah!!! and the ride was very exciting took almost 1 hour. But the elephant show in Maesa is better, the camp is closer to the city, more organized and clean and have more elephants. The best tips for Chiang Mai Thailand sightseeing Part2
Visit an Ethnic Hilltribe Village While in Chiang Mai or elsewhere in Northern Thailand, I highly recommend making a daytrip excursion to a traditional village of one of the local hilltribe ethnic groups. Over 100 years ago, the Hilltribe peoples migrated south from China into what are now Myanmar (Burma), Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand. The six major tribes are the Karen (Kariang, Yang), the Hmong (Meo), the Yao (Mien), the Akha (Ekaw), the Lisu (Lisaw), and the Lahu (Mussur). The main profession of all these tribes is farming, and all of them tend to migrate whenever they feel that the soil at their present location is becoming depleted. Each tribe is distinct, with its own culture, religion, language, art, and dress. With Thailand undergoing rapid modern development, it is difficult yet to say whether these tribes will continue in their traditional ways of life, or whether they will eventually be assimilated into mainstream Thai society. Wat Phra That Doi Suthep: Temple in the Mountains Rising 1676 meters above the city the Chiang Mai, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, is one of the most important religious destination in Chiang Mai. Originally built in the year 1386 by King Keuna the Great, the story behind its construction of tells of a white elephant (which only a king can own) ascending the mountains with one-half of a sacred buddha relic. This temple was built where the white elephant made its final resting place and was named after hermit Suthep Reusi, who had lived there 1,300 years ago. Hong Kong/Macau Sightseeing Tips
These are some (hopefully useful) tips for those who visit HK on your own.TransportationBefore leaving the airport, buy the Octopus card (八达通卡), that includes a return trip of the Airport Express (AEL), and 3 days unlimited ride of the MTR. It costs HKD300 per person, but is very useful and can save a lot of money, especially if you schedule all the trips to farther areas in the first 3 days.In Macau, after leaving the port, go straight to the card counter to apply for a Macau Pass. I can't remember how much it costed, but with the deposits and all that, I paid HK$80 for a card. It can be used for multiple passengers, and upon leaving, you can return the card and get the deposit refunded plus the remaining credit. Very convenient and easy payment.Going to MacauIf you are a Malaysian, don't have to get entry visa. However, if you needed an entry visa to Hong Kong, then perhaps you'll need a Macau visa. And returning from Macau to HK, you'll need another HK entry visa.

I don't like to squeeze with the crowds. I will only do that if I bring my children - suffer for them is okay. :)Okay, what did we do in Hong Kong then? It was mainly an eating trip! Apart from eating, we went to a few places, for some reasons...Ngong Ping 360 (昂坪360)This is the latest attraction in Hong Kong, even newer than the Disney Land. It is opened early this year. To get there, we first took the MTR to Tung Chung station, and from there, we took the Ngong Ping Skyrail and started the journey.I forgot to take the photo of the Skyrail. Anyway, due to the foggy condition (or hazy??!), the view wasn't good. We couldn't see far away, though the view is supposed to be attractive. It is a 20-25 minute

      Sightseeing Rome From Rome Airports
The internet revolution allows people today to have more informations and to plan their trip to Rome and to Italy in a proper way in order to see more monuments and archaeological sights in a shorter amount of time. To make an example, when you are just landed at Fiumicino Rome airport, during your transfer to the hotel you can see the modern district of Rome called E.U.R. The acronym, which stands for Esposizione Universale di Roma, has become the name of a peripheral suburb of Rome interesting for its many examples of fascist architecture. Mussolini as prime minister of Italy between the two world wars started to work on this huge complex of office buildings and apartment blocks in 1939. It was supposed to host a big exhibition (Esposizione Universale di Roma) in 1942 but the war intervened. Olympic Games were held here in 1960 and now the place is a bit like La Defense in Paris, home to trade shows and miscellaneous companies. There were two basic phases in EUR's development. The fi

      Sightseeing Sydney by air
Flying hours: 3Study hours: 5I think I might keep a tally on the hours I have flown in my plane along with an estimate of my book or study time dedicated to aviation since the previous blog entry.By book/study time, I am referring to the reading of knowledge material about flying. I believe it's important for pilots to continually be learning. As a matter of fact, after passing your PPL (Private Certificate), a lot of checkride examiners tell you that it's a license to learn. My current reading material is Bob Tait's Instrument Rating Study Guide. I think I will do my IREX exam for fun (the Australia Instrument Rating exam).I have been fortunate enough to travel to many countries for work and have had the pleasure of seeing a wide variety of locations. Sydney would have to be one of the better looking cities and I'm not just saying that because I live here and happen to be an Australian. Sydney by air is amazing and seeing as I have never taken photos during my flying adventures in
