The EPL season started last year in Mid August, nearing 6 months into this little project of mine. Some result can be seen if any of you reading this has been following me on my progress. It meant over 1000 miles of travel and was too difficult a journey for an Accal; so Kathleen Grant went. She left home early on Monday morning, travelled by bus, train and bullock-cart, changing twelve times before she was home again at noon on Thursday.    It was a tiring journey, for Indian third-class travelling can hardly be called comfortable even without a baby in one's arms. And this little one was so fragile that Kathleen had to carry him on a pillow.

Last year when "Heroes" aired the End of Volume One, I couldn't wait to see what happened next.As the days and weeks went by, the wonder and magic slowly began to fade. A couple of months after new episodes stopped airing, I found myself avoiding repeats. Then summer came, and I wondered if "Heroes" was still worth watching.Then it came back on, and BAM! The announcement followed a remark by the Qatari prime minister that the dollar was hurting the Qatari economy, which in turn followed decisions by the Gulf countries not to shadow American interest rates.It is also coupled with recent warnings by Meryll Lynch that the peg would be difficult to sustain.It seems increasingly likely that the riyal will be unshackled from the dollar.
