In spite of my general dislike of cross-body packs as a concept, I found the Sideline II to be a surprisingly effective, enjoyable gear caddie. Its inconspicuous looks, rugged build, and carefully thought-out touches (like the ability to use it with either a traditional backpack strap, the cross-body strap, or both, for instance) may be enough to convert even the skeptics over to Mountainsmith’s

Engine troubles plagued Jack Roush, Jr. and the No. 59 ROUSH Performance Mustang virtually the entire time the team was at Miller Motorsports Park. Finally, on lap four of the KONI Challenge race a blown motor put him on the sideline almost before the 2.5-hour race even began.
Starting with the practice sessions on Wednesday, and right through the final laps on-track prior to the race this afternoon the team was chasing an overheating problem. They tried multiple solutions, such as changing fans, radiator caps, and just about everything that could be done trackside, but the higher altitude of the desert facility just didn’t allow for a simple solution as the thinner air did not seem to adequately cool down the engines.
Roush qualified the No. 59 ROUSH Performance Mustang in 23rd position, and by the end of the first lap had sliced through the field and moved up eight spots into 15th place. However, the motor wasn’t equal to the pace of the driver as two laps later he slowed on t
New York Jets running back Thomas Jones has a strained right calf muscle and is expected to be out one to two weeks, according to a person with knowledge of the injury. Jones, who got hurt Sunday in practice, had an MRI yesterday that did not show any serious damage. He will miss Friday’s preseason game against the Vikings, but the injury is not season ending.
Eric Mangini did not discuss the details of Jones’ injury yesterday, saying only that Jones had hurt the “lower leg.” Though at practice, Jones did not talk to the media. Keeping with his policy of not revealing injury information, Mangini said little more.
“I can tell you that Thomas is working extremely hard and he will be back as quickly as he can,” Mangini said. “Thomas has a pretty strong track record. He’s only missed three games in I can’t tell you how many opportunities. He’s pretty durable.”
Drew Rosenhaus, Jones’ agent, told The Associated Press t

French Open spokesman Stephan Brun said Saturday he had no information about a possible withdrawal by the 20-year-old British player.

Hi everyone, I am afraid, I won't be able to response to your comments sooner-not as soon as I would like to, due to that I have such a hectic life. I can hardly get around to blogs I used to visit often, so, please excuse me for that. If I don't make it to visit your blog right away, I am just busy as can be, having a little one to attend to and a school girl to deal with, too, makes me pre-occupied. That is, especially now, that I have a sideline job; blogging, it is becoming a job for me but, it pays, so it is somewhat like a job-I'd say...LOL. I am always wrapped up with all my never ending house chores, taking care of our children, and blogging...LOL-I need a hand! Anyway, I'll eventually visit you as soon as time permits me. See you...!
During his third and final session of batting practice Wednesday, Mike Hampton swung and then dropped to his knees in pain. Hampton is just now finishing his 18 month recovery from Tommy John surgery that caused him to miss the whole 2006 season and the end of the 2005 season and now he is expected to miss at least a month or more with an apparent torn side muscle, most likely an oblique."The sad thing is he was feeling great the last two times - he felt normal," manager Bobby Cox said. "This is going to set him back quite a ways."Exactly how long Cox didn't want to speculate. "It'll be a while," he said. "He was just getting his arm strength back to normal and now he's not going to be able to throw at all," said Cox, meaning when Hampton's side heals he'll have to start over again to get his arm in pitching shape.Hampton left Braves camp on Thursday morning to see Braves team orthopedist Norton Baker in Orlando.Hampton was expected to be the Braves 3rd or 4th started this year an

But technology also makes it possible to ferret out the identities of cyberbullies and conceivably make them subject to criminal prosecutions or even civil litigation. Parents should consider these issues as they set limits [...]
