I need to do this alteration in DH's shirt. In fact, I've never seen a man whose suit or dress shirt actually fit right. They all have rounded backs (so suit jackets hike up in back) and sloping shoulders (so there's all kinds of mess under the arms and bias wrinkles from the neck to the armhole).
I'm visualizing how I should tackle this. I'm thinking: "separate" the yoke front and back, do a Pivot to lower the shoulder and armhole on front and back. Then "reconstruct" the yoke back together at the shoulder line. I think this has the effect that I want: not changing the yoke size, but lowering the armhole.
What do you typically do for forward shoulders in a yoked man's shirt. On mine, I just move the shoulder point forward. But DH is a bit "beefier" than I am, so I probably need to do 1/2" forward shift.
Any comments, suggestions, criticisms are greatly appreciated.

Every time I either buy a dress or make one, I run into the same problem. I have a rather exaggerated hourglass figure, with a large bust but (apparently) small back/shoulders. When I buy/make dresses to fit the bust, they always end up too large across the back and shoulders. In other words, there's too much room in the armholes and the upper back gapes a bit.
I know that now I'm making my own dresses I should be able to fix this, but I'm not sure the best way to modify a pattern to fit these points. The waist and bust darts always fit me well, so I can't change that, but I don't know what other points could be taken in inconspicuously.
