“There’s going to be a crisis which will come along on the 21st, 22nd of January which we don’t even know about right now!” ~ Colin Powell
Watch at 2 mins 40 secs to hear his prediction.
Interestingly, Obama’s running mate Joe Biden said something eerily similar just a day later which also deserves some close [...]
The latest sighting of Jesus comes to us by way of the “One Stop Body Shop” in Arkansas City, Kansas. After a recent rain, a leaky celing reveals the divine portrait of Jesus in the drop ceiling.
Here are the quotes that say it all:
“If it had leaked a little bit more, it would be a [...]
"I've been married to my wife for 10 years. But if she came up here, you wouldn't laugh." - Chris RockIf at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and cry again. Or claim to have found your voice after 35 years of public service only to leave the heavy lifting to your attack dog of a husband who also happens to be the 42nd President of the United States. Make your running platform a nod to experience and competence when you're clearly lacking in both areas. Anyone who claims politics isn't one helluva tragicomedy clearly hasn't been paying attention to the Democratic race for the Oval Office. This whole process felt like déjà vu to me, as if I'd seen the trailer for this long before. The gratingly annoying overachiever who felt as if her coronation was inevitable only to see t

The future of the dogs, a
Just so you all know, I haven’t died or abandoned the site. I have been busy with finals. The final finals! That’s right, I am done with college and I am excited! I now have a degree in Computer Networking and Technology. Now, I may go get some kind of arts degree too.
I don’t plan to be a slave for some monopolized IT organization, nor do I care to be a successful network administrator with a six figure income, but I am excited and proud that I have completed something. On that note, I would like to know what I should do next. I’d like to combine writing, philosophy, science, and computers.
I must find a job, at least until entrepreneurship kicks in and I start getting some income on my own, so that I can pay back student loans (about 20 grand). I don’t have a problem with this, but I want to make sure I get a job that I really enjoy, is ethical and pays well for little effort (because I am lazy beyond belief). I’d like to hear from you guys what yo
Gold Thoughts by Ned Schmidt at Kitco - 6/27/07 snip:Good morning sheep! All of you with money in hedge funds, that gave money to your alma mater so they could speculate in hedge funds, and that bought BX on offering, the clippers are ready. Shearing of sheep can now start as all sheep are in the pen. This week they closed the gate, and got out the clippers. Sheep did get lucky in one case. Everquest Financial's IPO was pulled. (New York Times, 26 June 2007). This cunning scheme was to put a bunch of those questionable CDOs in it, and sell it to the gullible public. Such events as witnessed recently with a sponsor and two hedge funds may not be isolated events. Hedge fund/CDO situation perhaps suggests that problems with decision making, portfolio management, risk management, and ethical considerations are more systemic in nature...Peak Suburbia by Jim Kunstlers ClusterfuckNation - 6/25/07 snip:I get lots of letters from people in various corners of the nation who are hysterically dis
Worst Housing Market Since the Depression by Chuck Butler at Everbank - 6/20/07 snip:...The markets seem to be waking up to the fact that the housing market is nowhere near the bottom. Borrowers are being squeezed by the treasury market's recent sell-off, which has increased 30-year mortgage rates the most since 2004. The National Median Home price is poised for its first annual decline since the Great Depression. An executive at the giant bond fund PIMCO said it best: "It's a blood bath. We're talking about a two- to three-year downturn that will take a whole host of characters with it, from job creation to consumer confidence. Eventually it will take the stock markets and corporate profit." The US housing market has provided the economy with support through the creation of wealth and the seemingly endless ATM of price increases. The recent increase in yields, along with the subprime mortgage meltdown, is going to kick this support right out from under the economy, and the dollar i
Scientists have created the world’s first human-sheep chimera - which has the body of a sheep and half-human organs.
The sheep have 15 per cent human cells and 85 per cent animal cells - and their evolution brings the prospect of animal organs being transplanted into humans one step closer.
After all it still looks like a sheep (I hope they won’t make some 50% type with human head. Imagine such centaur running through the fields).

Not that I want to laugh at people who are idiots or anything, but this is just too funny.
THOUSANDS of Japanese have been swindled in a scam in which they were sold Australian and British sheep and told they were poodles.

Here we have a shepard who needs a sheep to fleece. It seems many of the sheeple didn’t get the memo about continual double digit price appreciation in Irvine. They haven’t shown up for 83 days to buy our shepard’s home for $400,000 more than he paid for it one year earlier. If this isn’t an example of Southern California's Cultural Pathology I don’t know what is? The mentality that believes you should make $400,000 a year for simply owning your home. Unbelievable!

Ok…was it just me or did anyone else out there in Liberal blogosphere land notice a big jump in visits today from search keywords like: The ConstitutionCivil RightsHuman RightsIllegal SurveillanceProgressive ValuesLiberal websitesNo Habeas CorpusAnd oh yes….last and possibly least…. Alberto Gonzalesand yes, he really said it. I don't know if any of you guys do this or not but….I pay pretty close attention to my visitors choice of keywords because if you watch it long enough you begin to see a pattern emerge that correlates directly with the latest shenanigans of the Bush Administration. I can say with certainty that I have seen a steady…slow…yes, but definite increase of people from all over the world who are beginning to take a little notice about what is happening to our Constitutional Republic. Others can't help but notice…their lives have been utterly devastated by the only country righteous enough to hold a pre-emptive war special excepti
