So Cindy Sheehan resigned her fictional post as leading war protester to pursue a new career in politics. She has decided on extorting an impeachment proceeding from Nancy Pelosi by saying basically, “if you don’t do what I want I will run against you in the next election.” I’m sure this has Nancy Pelosi shaking in her Birkenstocks. Right?
I don’t know about anyone else, but I am sure looking forward to this battle. I hope she does run and is competetive. You never know what can happen. Here in New Hampshire an unknown named Carol Shea-Porter was able to un-seat incumbent Representative Jeb Bradley because he took her lightly. This should be fun. Even many on the Right have praised Sheehan for “opening her eyes” in her retirement from nationwide antiwar campaigning. But these praises sound more like eulogies than any kind of serious reflection on Cindy Sheehan and, more importantly, the American antiwar movement.

The funny thing here is, what the hell is she resigning from? She has no job, she is a professional protester.
She does get one thing right in her resignation letter though, and that’s how quickly the left turned on her when she decided they weren’t ending the war fast enough. She started to focus her attention away from President Bush and started focusing it on the newly elected Democrats. That’s when the far left said woah, woah, woah,….wait a minute here, you can’t hold us to the same standards as the president.
She was then abandoned. They want to end the war, but more importantly they want to do more Bush-bashing.
Isn’t it funny how when she was protesting the president the media had Sheehan-mania, we saw her every move, you couldn’t turn the TV on without seeing her, but when she started going after the Democrats she wasn’t seen on television any more?

Iraq war protesters broke up a press conference by House Democrats on Wednesday with chants to bring American troops home from Iraq.
Chanting "de-escalate, investigate, troops home now," the protesters disrupted a briefing aimed at outlining priority goals when Democrats take over the House and Senate on Thursday.
