Poker is a mind game and the players show different characteristics, or traits, which define their playing style. Players usually act in a certain way in a given set of circumstances, and this can help the opponents get a peek at what is happening inside the mind of a player. You may better understand the problems with the mortgage-processing system by looking at CashFlow Strategies, formerly called Financial Independence Group, which was run by Georgia-based businessman Frederick C. Lee has been banned from arranging loans in Maryland and Georgia because neither he nor his companies were licensed for such activity. And yet, in violation of those orders, people working for Lee have continued to arrange mortgage loans that for many borrowers are inappropriate, according to sources and company documents. Equally disturbing is that these borrowers are paying fees on these loans that many consumer advocac

Habs-Bruins and Caps-Flyers thoughts, Sharks in trouble
Habs-Bruins Game 7What a game this is going to be. After a thrilling finish to Game 6 and a Bruins win to force this series to 7 games, who really knows what to expect in Game 7. I would say that you won't see what happened in the 3rd period last game to happen in the final game. Both teams should be a little more cautious.A big key to this game may be how composed the Habs will be after brain farting in Game 6. Is Carey Price going to be the difference?Something I really noticed in Game 6 was the asshat play of Alexei Kovalev. I think a really big reason Kovalev did not show up was because Saku Koivu returned from a broken foot for the first time in the series and the spotlight wasn't on the Russian anymore. Think of it this way: Kovalev wore the "c" in Koivu's absence and was a force to

Internet Sharks - Domain Registration or Daylight Robbery
A couple of years back I took advantage of an introductory offer on a .co.uk TLD domain name. I can't remember the exact deal, but at the time it was something like £2 for a 2 year registration. At the time, that was cheaper than my current registrar which worked out at about £1.99 per year, so £2 for 2 years wasn't to be scoffed at (especially when you are registering 50 or so .co.uk's a month). The first of them is nearing renewal and so the 60 day renewal warning turned up in my inbox, and as I expected they increased their renewal price to £9.99 a year.  I'd already started the transfer to my current registrar so it wasn't a problem. As I said, I was expecting the hike, and I only registered with them to take advantage of saving a packet. What I didn't ex

This is a shark that lives way beyond human dive range, but recently scientists have discovered them in shallower water. Prickly Sharks live in the Pacific Ocean at depths between three-hundred and thirteen-hundred feet, well out of reach of the average diver, but recently scientists have found them in much shallower water, in an underwater canyon at the head of Monterey Bay off the central coast of California.Monterey Bay is well known for it's marine life. The food-rich upwellings from the nearby underwater Canyon support an ecosystem that sustains creatures like harbour seals, sea lions, thousands of pelicans and, of course, the famous sea otter. Pelagic thresher sharks are occasionally caught in isolated parts in the Pacific and Indian Oceans, but a resident population has recently been discovered in Philippine waters. They're a pelagic species, which means that they roam the oceans. At Cebu, there's an undersea mountain where they're found all year round. From the large size of those eyes it is immediately obvious that this is the type of animal that hunts in deep water or hunts at night.Threshers perform spectacular leaps out of the water, but you've got to be lucky to catch one on film. But each tooth is a minute single hooked cusp, which are pretty much harmless. The super large mouth, opens and water rushes in, and along with it a wide variety of planktonic and nectonic prey, including small crustaceans, small schooling fishes and occasionally on tuna and squid. Unlike other filter feeders it does not rely on forward motion for filtration, the act of opening the mouth is enough to force water over the filtering screens of the gill slits.Every summer, hundreds of these sharks gather off the

Sharks: When can it vanish from our waters
Why do sharks need our protection? Many shark species are endangered and could soon become extinct without our help. According to the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), approximately 100 million sharks are killed each year. Due to their slow growth, late sexual maturity and low number of offspring, they are susceptible to almost any fishing pressure. Few countries have shark management plans in place. And, the demand for shark products like shark meat, fins and cartilage further contributes to their decline. Why should you help? Sharks play a vital role in the underwater ecosystem as part of nature’s complex system of checks and balances. Known as apex predators, they are at the top of the food chain, keeping other aquatic species populations healthy and balance

      Canucks-Sharks Preview
The Canucks have not beat the Sharks yet this season in 2 tries. Both losses occurred in October, by scores of 4-2 and 3-1. It was Joe Thornton ( 1 goal 2 assists) and Jonny Cheechoo (1 goal and 1 assist) who killed us in the first game.Jeremy Roenick was a Canucks killer in the second game, scoring 2 goals (yeah, why did I bring that up?) Bad memory. But that was in October, when the Canucks had not found their game yet. Now it's different. We are rolling. The Nucks will get their legs going in the 2nd, but it may be too late.Shots: Sharks 13 Canucks 8 PERIOD 2The Canucks get their legs back, but Nabokov is on his game tonight. It's too late, isn't it?Shots: Sharks 9 Canucks 8PERIOD 3Now the Canucks really have their legs going. I get a kick out of how the fans chant "It's a goal" when Shannon's potential goal was under review. And then they boo after it's ruled 'no goal'. That was obviously a no goal. Shut the hell up people.Chalk this one up to.......er.....the Canucks were too rusty at the start and just couldn't catch up after that. I sure appreciated Vancouver's effort as

      Sharks / Canucks Preview
Finally, the Canucks are back in action. Tonight they face the Sharks at GM Place, a Shark team that was edged by the Oilers in a shootout last night. The Canuck press is experiencing deja-vu. Who is going to provide the offence beyond the Sedins line this season? I say blah-blah no problemo. The Canucks are going to have to score by committee, and I think they have the team that can do just that.Mason Raymond impressed Canucks brass so much in preseason that he will start the regular season playing on the Sedin line. I foresee great things for this kid already. The Canucks second line will consist of Ryan Shannon-Naslund-Kesler. This is the line I am most looking forward to seeing play. I am pulling for Kesler to have a great year and score 25-30 goals. I haven't seen much of Shannon yet either. Naslund is surrounded with grit it seems. That leaves Pyatt-Morrison-Cooke on the 3rd line. Not bad. I want to see more out of Morrison this year. Otherwise I get the feeling he will be flogged

Say 'No' To Loan Sharks ! Don't Lend Me Anymore Money !
While reading the news this morning, I came across this piece of news where the man was holding a placard with “Say NO to LOAN SHARK!” written in English and a separate placard written in Chinese that said: “Loan shark, please don't lend me any more money!” This reminds me of what my hubby told me last night. He also read from somewhere that we have got to be careful if we find extra money in

Return of Stadium Anthem Has Sharks Fans in Frenzy
There was something missing last season during home games at "The Tank." Fans still turned out and they had a good time celebrating great plays and wins...but scoring goals just wasn't the same without the obligatory arena staple song that fans have been so attached to since the team's inception. The popular song is "Rock and Roll, Part II" recorded in 1972 by Gary Glitter. The song was removed from the playlist at HP Pavilion last season due to the artists' imprisonment after being found guilty of molesting two young girls. Morality issue aside, Sharks fans have clamored for the reinstatement of the organ-version of 'their' song. And now it is back by popular demand. Hey!"People really missed the song," said Malcolm Bordelon, the team's executive vice president of business operations. "We've realized that this is important to people, and that it's a part of the show."Related:'Hey!' Sharks fans: Your song is back [San Jose Mercury News]

      Sharks 4 Canucks 3 (SO)
It's just preseason, but it's still better than getting blown out. Quick Game Notes- Sharks outshot the Nucks 31-23-Sharks scored 3 PP goals on 6 chances. Canucks were 0-for-6. I see PP drills in the Nucks' future.- 2 goals for Devin Setoguchi tonight. He has 5 goals total in preseason play, leading the Sharks. I saw him play for the PG Cougars months back. He was a standout. The 20-year-old is amongst the leaders in preseason scoring and making a good case to stick with the Sharks club. Coach Ron Wilson said this about him: "He's pretty close to being ready to play in the NHL," Wilson said. "He plays with intensity. He finishes his checks. Like any young guy, he's got a few things to learn about the game defensively. But, all in all, he's a pretty complete player." - Sharks played Thomas Greiss in goal, a 21-year old German goalie who they drafted 94th overall in 2004. - why is this even a story? Someone with too much time on their hands simulated an NHL 08 season, and the Shark

      Mesmerizing Video of Sharks Feeding
Great video of sharks feeding on shoals of fish at the Maldives.  The changing patterns are mesmerizing and cool to see even without the sounds of the surf.  As a bonus there's video of a great turtle at the end.   Found this at The Times of London website. Never thought a film of sharks feeding would be beautiful and calming.   Shark Week on cable TV gives me nightmares. Makes me want to visit the Maldives.  It appears the film was shot from a bridge or pier near the shore.  Wonder what else you would see in the Maldives. Julia

Reports suggest that the break-up of the bank would generate hundreds of millions for the funds and leave very little for the shareholders. Former Goldman Sachs trader, Chris Flowers is among the group looking at a possible deal for the bank. It is also said that

Ozolinsh gets a chance with Sharks
"I have a lot of good memories here, and I'm excited to be here," Ozolinsh told the club's official website before the Sharks travelled to Los Angeles for their exhibition opener Tuesday night against the Kings. "This team has a chance at a Stanley Cup. I really hope I make this team." This is Ozo's last big chance to make an impact in the NHL. He has endured offensive futility with the Rangers last season (3 points in 21 games) and having to enter a substance abuse program in December 2005 and was arrested for impaired driving in 2006.Sandis returns to the team that drafted him 30th overall in 1991. He still holds the Sharks record for points in a season by a defenceman (64 points in 81 games in 1993-94). Those were the years (1993-95) that the Sharks created 1st round upsets. In 1994, they beat the Wings in 7 games only to barely lose to the Leafs in 7 games in round 2. Ozo had 10 assists in 14 playoff games, and Arturs Irbe was a shining Buddha. The following season, they defeate

Never Ever Borrow Money Or Get Loans From Loan Sharks !
My hubby and I are considered lucky that we can turn to personal loans or unsecured loans when we are deeply in the red. By presenting some documents needed by the banks, we can get the loans approved within 48 hours or shorter. However, there are people who are not as fortunate as we are. They lack the legal documents required by the banks. As a solution, they resort to borrowing money and

      Prickly Sharks
Until remote cameras were invented, no-one had ever seen the mysterious Prickly Shark in it's own deep-sea environment. But it's the only p

This LA Scene.. Sharks Swiming At the Standard
So my man Marcus aka intern at the hit+run hipped me to this pool party “swiming with sharks” this last saturday. It was completely a wild extravagant scene, MTV producers running around in thongs pouring beer on scantily clad white girls all featuring the varying extremes of bootydoo. Introspective designers rocking crazy raybans and dropping science on unsuspecting enibriated extras. Mid blowing customizable t-shirts created underground trendsetters and ahead-of-their-time visionaries(Big Ups to the Glenjamn). Daftpunk, Snoop Dogg, and Dre serenading 7 plus figures salary socialities sipping golden bottles and smoking coffin nails. Tech Respect for my man Erre with the golden quicksilver watch. All pool side, in the center of LA on a beautiful saturday afternoon with Bobby Brown. Did your saturday compare? I think Naught. Enjoy the pretty pictures courtesy of Zito and FlipFrames.com

Female hammerhead sharks can reproduce without having sex, scientists confirm.
Captive shark had 'virgin birth' The bonnethead is a species in the hammerhead group The evidence comes from a shark at Henry Doorly Zoo in Nebraska which gave birth to a pup in 2001 despite having had no contact with a male. Genetic tests by a team from Belfast, Nebraska and Florida prove conclusively the young animal possessed no paternal DNA, Biology Letters journal reports. The type of reproduction exhibited had been seen before in bony fish but never in cartilaginous fish such as sharks. Parthenogenesis, as this type of reproduction is known, occurs when an egg cell is triggered to develop as an embryo without the addition of any genetic material from a male sperm cell. See how parthenogenesis takes place The puzzle ove

Paleo Sharks: Survival of the Strangest
Paleo Sharks: Survival of the Strangest Paleo sharks were the largest sharks from the times of dinosaurs, they make  the sharks of today seem like the tamest creatures in the waters. This is one time period in shark history not illustrated or talked about much, kids will love the richly drawn pictures in this 48 page volume of shark history. Megalodon was very similar to today’s great white shark—except in size. The great white can grow to about 25 feet long and weigh about 2 tons (4,000 pounds). But scientists believe megalodon grew up to 50 feet long and might have weighed close to 50 tons! Megalodon ate anything it wanted. Its huge and powerful jaws were packed with 6-inch-tall, razor-edged, triangular teeth that sliced through its prey. Megalodon probably hunted the biggest fish and whales that swam the oceans of the Cenozoic era.sandbox world, tony medeiros

      Thrashing Thresher Sharks
This pelagic thresher shark, is from the island of Cebu, in the Philippines. Life here can be a real struggle, and too often, nature comes off second best. It's the last place one would expect to find a rare species of shark. They are very ap

Sand More Deadly Than Sharks at Beach
Dr. Bradley Maron of Harvard Medical School has made it his life's mission to educate people about the dangers of death by sand. Sand hole collapses occur more frequently than shark attacks, but is an issue that has not garnished much attention compared to its more gory summer-time threat. There are 20 documented deaths in the United States due to sand hole collapses, with an additional eight deaths in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. These collapses occur very rapidly, and will typically submerge the victim completely into the sand as the walls of the hole suddenly fall in. Oftentimes there will be virtually no evidence of the hole left, making it difficult to locate the victim.Maron advises everyone to not let young children play in sand unattended, and to not get into a hole that is deeper than your knees. This time of year is also a great time to brush up on your CPR skills, or take a class if you haven't done so already.
