At age 90, my Aunt Jean is a mover. Not a shaker though, because that would be undignified.
Aunt Jean is always on the go, on various committees, visiting folks in the hospital, looking in on the elderly her nieces and nephews and does it all with a quick step and in stylish attire.
Every month, the church [...]
Sean does not yet hold his pencil properly. I know. If I were inclined towards over-parenting, I might be wringing my hands right now and consulting experts or at least Googling something. But I’m not. As many of you know, I’m more inclined towards “Whatever Dude” parenting.
It’s not that he can’t hold the pencil properly; [...]

So it’s like 1:30 a.m.
And, as usual, your late-night rounds to the fridge have you feeling guilty — with all the midnight snacks you can find. In fact, the last time you sat down after midnight to eat you recreated an entire Thanksgiving dinner with all the left overs.
Know what you need? A lift’n’shake salt & pepper shaker.
Okay. So need is a strong word. But it wouldn't be unwelcome at a moment like this.
While you pile on the salt and pepper, like we all do for left overs... this little guy will remind you what a fat slob you are becoming and to go to the gym; possibly he'll help to curb your appetite.Just lift and remove the barbell for use.
This large painting (16" x 20") is the second of four commissioned pieces that I did for a very nice client who will be opening a Diner in a few month. Once the paintings have all been completed I hope to post some pictures from the Diner. The Diner will be located in Bryant, Arkansas (which is located outside of Little Rock). It will serve home cooked meals with a retro atmosphere. Once the Diner is opened I will write more about it...stay tuned.

Inspired by the Shaker Village in Hancock, Massachusetts, each unit incorporates elements of Shaker design. The painstakingly renovated homes are a perfect blend of function and form, featuring top quality cabinets, hand crafted inset storage closets in every bedroom, wide plank pine flooring, period authentic bathroom fixtures, and historically accurate windows. All of the units have either a separate storage space or adjoining recreation room on the basement level and access to two shared courtyards.

Double walled salt shaker with no holesBottom of double walled salt shakerA couple of weeks ago, the Etsy Mud Team, (an Etsy group that I belong to) was discussing double walled holeless salt shakers. I really couldn't fathom how they were made or worked, but gave it a good shot after seeing Keith's tutorial. I didn't do any before, during and after photos and instead, opted to wait and see if my creation even survived the bisque fire.It did. I ended up adding the decorative knob, because without it, frankly the salt shaker looked like a female body part. Please use your imagination here.... As to the mechanics of the piece, one basically fills the salt or pepper into the hole in the bottom. To use, the salt sits within the "walls" until shaken, then sprinkles from the hollow center. Makes sense, right? I'm a visual person, and didn't get it until I made one myself. I think it needs a pepper partner now.Bisqued porcelain bottle with handmade ginkgo lino-cut stamps - not y
I've been wanting to get my hands on trying to do some shaker boxes and with my latest project on altering christmas paper clips, I've decided to give it a go.I've made some ornaments shaker boxes to use it as part of the design for my christmas paper clips.Just follow the steps below to create your own shaker boxes.1. First cut out two circles out of plain card stocks. One must be slightly bigger than the other. On the bigger circle, cut out a circle window which is small than the other circle. Cover the bigger circle with patten papers, paints or anything that you wish. Since it's a christmas ornament that I'm making, I've written "Merry Christmas" on the smaller circle after I've used some ink to dab on the background.2. Cut some foam double sided tapes to cover the edges of the smaller circle as above.3. Fill the middle with some confetti of any kind of colours and theme. But make sure that the colours you chose works perfectly with the overall look of your shaker boxes or y

After 6 years of silence, Kula Shaker returns with Strangefolk' consists of 13 new songs. When someone says Kula Shaker, you remember their well-known hit 'Tattva' and nice debut "K" (1997), but their brilliant live performances are other goods why they're one of Britain's most exciting bands. As for the Strangefolk, it sounds as something forced, you know, you can't stand aged bands' returnings. "Die For Love" is a great rock ballad and despite clear The Beatles influence, "Fool That I Am" is their best new song in my view. However, the returning albums are not always memorable. They're returning and the record is forgettable, ironic hah?Kula Shaker - Second SightYou may also like:Travis - 3 Times And You Lose

Hey friends there is an interesting rumor floating on the Internet that soon we’ll see a new Sony Ericsson phone with a unique capability: the user can change the music track by shaking the phone. The source suggests that when you shake it forwards it goes to the next track and when you fling it back it goes to the previous one. For the random playback you have to shake it side to side. There are no details which model it will be. According to the rumors, the shaker phone is an upcoming S-series phone or even the recently announced S500.[source: via net]

Breakfast time. It’s got to be one of my favorite times of the day. Oh sure, I love making things like Beer Butt Chicken, Bourbon Chicken, and Salmon Caesar Salads for my days, but there’s something about a good egg omelete or a bowl of cereal.
Coincidentally, seeing I just finished off my box of Honey Smacks this morning, I couldn’t have come across a better freebee with this Source of Life Shaker Cup and coupon. Looks like when this gets here, I’ll have to break out my Myoplex shakes and start having those. That, or maybe find out what the source of life really is…
Alright, alright, I know this probably wasn’t very funny… Give me a break, I’m still playing with my free Shrek light and I’m tired…

These two paintings on 3/4" poplar are meant to hang together, obviously. This subject is and has been a very popular subject for artists. I guess I am no exceptions. I've always painted various compositions with a salt and pepper shaker as a main focus of the art. This painting with its lose and impressionistic style is another contemporary design of a very traditional subject.Click Here to Bid
This painting was composed from a very close perspective. This still life of an Atlas Mason jar and a salt shaker focuses on the strong contrasting and dynamic colors of reflection and glass. The Atlas jar was given to us by my wifes Grandmother who left us a large supply of vintage mason and Atlas jars. Click Here to Bid
