Just like any other method of getting the word out about something, self promotion is advertising oneself. A more delicate approach must be taken lest one seem like a braggart. There are different ways to go about this; the best place to start is to gather and create content relevant to the subject [...]
I decided to give myself a promotion to supreme ruler of San Margherita, the little Italian neighborhood that I currently live in. Just don't let the Mob know. The other bit of self promotion I wanted to do was for my upcoming Bachelor of Fine Arts review here at the Ohio State University. I am applying to the Art and Technology program with hopes of graduating in the next year with my BFA. This review basically determines my future at Ohio State, but despite this fact I have tried to remain calm and prepared. My review is April 25th and I'm going through my portfolio review website with a fine tooth comb. Let me know what you think.Next time:Female JC fo sho.
[Images: Stefan Reimchuessel]WOW!! Jordan really knows how to guarantee herself column inches doesn’t she!? Mother of god is it even possible for someone to look more ridiculous?? Self promotion on the net is an art which Kina Grannis seemed to have learnt quite well.Kina Grannis is a contestant for Myspace's Doritos Crash the Super Bowl contestwhere a band gets a chance to create a video for the Superbowl. In her aim to get votes she created a website and a blog and promised two weeks of posting a song daily as long as people vote for her on Myspace. But the biggest coup she did was creating a song just for Digg users and the song got dugg and became number 1 on the digg's list which meant that her video generated more than 100,000 views cool idea for marketing oneself on the net the only factor was Digg and Myspace have a completely different user base so the overlap is likely to be small. For the uninitiated Digg is a community-based popularity website with an emphasis on technology and science articles. News stories and websites are submitted by users, and then promoted to the front page through a user-based ranking system .So enjoy the Digg Song
I was surfing numerous blogs earlier and I came across a link to a site that allows you to promote you / your name on Google, Yahoo, or MSN... the company is called Ziki.com there is a mini presentation that shows how it is done. It's a pretty cool concept that allows you to optimize your online visibility. So I decided to create my own profile within there community. You can find me here so if you too create a profile please feel free to add me!
Just a note to welcome A Blog of 2 Witches, Meowminx and The College Critic, as the newest Monday Melee participants, I’ve added your blogs to the Melee list which can be found here, and which I highly encourage others to check out because there are some really great blogs on that list and they deserve to be checked out!
My own Monday Melee is still not up for this week, so it will be The Monday Melee on Tuesday for me. Right about now, I feel like the chimp in the last post is winning the race.
So hey.. in the meanwhile, feel sorry for me and fuelmyblog, okay? (Yeah, I am shameless.) Click the image and it will register a vote for fracas.
Some other great blogs I’ve found at fuelmyblog:

Well, as much as we dislike talking about ourselves...its only for YOUR GOOD. Lately we have had many questions on our business model. Most of them start off like this: "What the heck is flat fee buyers brokerage?" or "Whats the catch, this sounds too ...
