The new Indiana Jones movie will not star Sean Connery, many had assumed that Connery would return to play the father of the globetrotting adventurer but has made it quite clear that he will not come out of retirement.
Sean Connery stated, “I love working with Steven and George, and it goes without saying that it is an honour to have Harrison as my son,” he then went on to say “But in the end, retirement is just too damned much fun.”
Although the movie has lost such a great actor, Indiana Jones 4 has some other top names who are involved with the new movie including Cate Blanchett, John Hurt and one of the UK’s best-loved actor’s Ray Winstone.
We have wrote a few times about the new Indiana Jones movie which still does not have any title, one of the most popular stories was Ford Wants Whip or no Indiana Jones

“Indiana Jones 4” – a film I’ve been tracking with much interest – has officially lost its sage father figure. On Thursday, Sean Connery declined the role of Harrison Ford’s dad. Connery reasoned the decision with the following:I thought long and hard about it, and if anything could have pulled me out of retirement, it would have been an Indiana Jones film.I love working with Steven and George. It goes without saying that it is an honor to have Harrison as my son. In the end, retirement is just too damned much fun.I do, however, have one bit of advice for Junior: Demand that the critters be digital, the cliffs be low and for goodness sake keep that whip by your side at all times in case you need to escape from the stunt coordinator.I can only say ‘break a leg, everyone’. I’ll see you on May 22, 2008 at the theater. We knew previously the film had cast Harrison Ford, Shia LeBeouf and Cate Blanchett. Now we also know it has signed on John Hurt and Ray Winstone. I love t
There was cause for concern when former 007 James Bond star Sean Connery failed to turn up for a fashion event in New York where he was supposed to attend as guest of honour. The shows organisers had reportedly said Sean had cancelled to undergo health tests.
However, a spokesperson for Sean confirmed the termination was due to a scheduling conflict and not health problems. The spokesperson went on to tell the Scotsman newspaper, “He had a scheduling conflict unrelated to a routine check-up he underwent earlier this week. He is in good form.”
