I just don’t understand how two guys who are very successful in promoting things including them self can go against each other each month and then fall in love after. Michael Arrington who is the founder of TechCrunch is always being a guy that plays tuff when it comes to posting on TC . And [...]
Over at my other blog on ITToolbox, one of my friends got a marketing letter from IEntry about wanting to syndicate their content. I have my ITToolbox stuff syndicated by IEntry as well, and it has worked out to be great for name recognition. What is interesting is that in their marketing proposal to my [...]
Bob Bly, an old-school copywriter, wrote to hi-tech blogger Robert Scoble saying that he is a low-tech guy and does not understand all of the hullabaloo about the latest hi-tech gadgets and services:
I don’t have any of it — for that matter, I don’t own a Blackberry, iPod, wireless laptop, or even a cell phone [...]
After an interview with Mike Cannon-Brookes, CEO of etnerprise-wiki company Atlassian, Mike pulled out his iPhone to show Robert Scroble the wonders of Apple. Robert states that Mike has “screens full” of applications installed on his device.
Moving right along, here are Robert Scroble’s favorite iPhone/iPod Touch applications:
News: I am still a Google Reader addict, and [...]
Last week I did a post entitled "The A-List Get's Spiffs, The Longtail Gets Cash", which garnered feedback from a few notable bloggers including Robert Scoble. The basic premise of my post was that spiffs provided by an advertiser or PR firm in the form of a "loaner" has value, just like a cash incentive has value. Both forms of outreach belong in the paid posting category and
You can get to the podcast right here, and there is a lot of humor here. Really if you want a laugh, you gotta listen to this.
Go screaming to minute 45 to get to the fun bit, it is great hearing pundits swear on a pod cast about “hiding behind a shroud of privacy [...]

But it's a great example of the new wave of integrated online software built around ease-of-use, a big issue for me when I'm thinking about project recommendations (why I tend towards using Google's suite rather than, gulp, Wordpress).Geeks wouldn't like what they'd see as limited options with Photoshow but I know relatives who would. This video is great at selling, classic 'I want one of those'.Flaming Scoble though ... stadium rock and "who are you?" begins 'The Scoble Show'. These big dicky mega-geeks need a few queens in the room to puncture those egos ... as in, Hans Christian Anderson (Queen!) and the courtier to
Yesterday we wrote about the new web design for the scobleizer web site, generally liking it, and noticing the quintessential picture of the guy with the pointy finger, and asking the really annoying question:
In the longer run, he has joined the rat race, the real question is what percentage of what percentage of click throughs [...]
We have been busy the past couple days networking with bloggers based in San Francisco. In addition to a great conversation with GigaOm and BitCurrent’s Alistair Croll and Voice of Tech’s Shannon Whitley, we ended the day with a Qik video with Robert Scoble. We met with Alistair at GigaOm’s pier-front offices, and enjoyed a [...]

"My question: what would you ask Robert Scoble, given the chance? Scoble tells me he has a thick skin, so let’s have some fun; I want funny, insightful, and downright insulting questions to ask of the chieftain of blogging. Leave your “questions for Scoble” in the comments and I’ll put the best ones to the man himself."[via mashable]
Sometimes when people come up with random sayings in a tweet, there is a lot of honesty in some of them. Robert Scoble posted this one on Twitter, and given the back ground image, just provides a deep sense of irony about the “love hate” relationship that we sometimes have with bloggers, and what they [...]
Back on December 23rd Robert Scoble made a prediction and posted a warning on his blog Scobleizer to vendors going to CES. He told them that some people will be at CES with a device that will mess with TV displays. He warned them to cover up the IR ports of these TVs.Apparently this warning went unheeded as the crew from Gizmodo went around shutting off TVs all around CES. This was really a dickhead thing to do and it makes all bloggers look bad. In the world of Tech news Gizmodo can be compared to those 'cool kids' that you went to high school with. For them everything is something to be joked about and mocked. I used to read their blog for the latest tech information but it is so skewed with sarcasm and mockery that it isn't worth getting the latest news from Gizmodo any longer.I am glad
The rumor that broke on techcrunch about Robert Scoble leaving Podtech quickly became the rumor of the day next to blognation calling it a day. Now that rumor is true, and that is that Robert Scoble is leaving podtech to go do other things. The rumor had him pegged to go to fast company, but according to Robert, the deal isn’t signed yet.
I told everyone that it was true that I had decided to leave PodTech, but that Fast Company hasn't been signed yet and that I'm still considering two options, one of which is Fast Company. My last day there will be January 14th. I am working on a number of PodTech initiatives, including the CES BlogHaus as well as a Blogger Bus Tour to CES from San Francisco to Las Vegas which is sponsored by Microsoft (more on the bus, as well as how you can get a seat, next week when I get back into the office). In reading through the whole blog entry though, Robert touches on some interesting issues, ones that are faced by employees
Robert Scoble has interviewed the president of Noise Free, that I wrote about, and available as a pod cast. Enjoy. I was looking at my twitter today and I saw a twitter by Cali Lewis of Geek Brief.TV. Her twitter asked, "I have Twitter Influence?" And yes she does according to TwitterPoster.com. This is a visual representation of the people on twitter who have the most followers. Here is what the website states:TwitterPoster is a visual application based on Twitter API.It provides a visual representation of the degree of influence of the Twitter users. The size, 24x24, 48x48 and 2x72 pixels is set based on the number of followers of each userAnd guess who has the biggest number of followers (6845 at the time I loaded the page). Robert Scoble. I'm following him and Cali Lewis (1985 followers) and Danielle Corsetto (282 followers) on Twitter. How about you? Anybody that you follow on TwitterPoster? So now I am interested in getting my mug up on that page. I have 42 followers so far. Feel free to follow me on Twitter.Join the Blog Rush.
Robert Scoble is taking a week off from blogging in support of Kathy Sierra!
So, since she doesn’t feel safe. I’m going to stop blogging in support of Kathy, who I consider a friend and someone who’s voice would be dearly missed here. I’ll be back Monday.
I’ve already posted, expressing my support for Kathy and my disgust at the entire situation. I feel like I could have written more, but words fail me when it comes to expressing my disgust, and what I want to say has been better expressed by others.
Scoble scratches the surface of a larger point which needs to be addresses in geekdom:
It’s this culture of attacking women that has especially got to stop. I really don’t care if you attack me. I take those attacks in stride. But, whenever I post a video of a female technologist there invariably are snide remarks about body parts and other things that simply wouldn’t happen if the interviewee were a man.
I’m not a psychologist, but I feel that the reason
Have I ever mentioned that Microsoft sucks?Well a couple of times--historically, business practices, well--they just suck.Strangely I never get any comments on this. I have wondered if all my readers are profoundly satisfied with their crappy code and bully ways. Most likely they are just bored, cos it isn't exactly news. And it is so historically wretched there is no way its anything remotely hip. Perhaps more perceptive observations are expected of me.But it is news when Geek Blogger Robert Scoble makes the same observation. The widely read tech blogger and former in-house Microsoft propagandist is now facing the fact that indeed, Microsoft sucks. It was the ever loveable Steve Ballmer that goaded The Scobleizer into action.Last Week the Chief Goon was trashing Google to some Stanford business students. It was the same type of inane thing as when he remarked Microsoft had not observed one single innovation coming out of Open Source.Steve said:"Google has built only one good busines

Andy Beard, who I’d never heard of until yesterday, has taken on Scoble, using Robert Scoble’s linkblog as an example for what he says is copyright infringement and theft because Scoble publishes a linkblog via Google Reader. Scoble responds today, attempting to explain how RSS works, how a linkblog works, and how copyright works. Be sure to read the comments. It’s an interesting discussion, and I’m with Robert on this one.
Feel free to include my posts in a linkblog. Why? Because I know that if folks care about the content and find it valuable, they’ll end up back on my site. I can only speak to my browsing behavior, but when I find content interesting, and I’m going to blog it, link to it, or feel like commenting, I go to the original source. Google Reader’s linkblog feature doesn’t brand the content as their own, and the source titles are clearly links to the original site.
As Robert notes, if you want content to be truly
I have been meaning to write this entry for a few weeks now, but finding the time is so hard, I don’t now how some of you Blogger’s keep the pace up, Jim Stroud comes to mind here. Anyway with my poor excuse out of the way I will continue.
I was very keen to write a follow up on an entry I made a while back entitled Robert Scobles’s Resignation Letter!! Kindly Robert responded and commented on the post and as a good recruitment consultant, I thought I would see how he is doing at Podtech. Well not surprisingly I found Robert had taken over with his very own show, The Scoble Show and if you have time I suggest you take a look.
Basically it is a video blog, I believe you would call it a Vlog, where Robert is commenting on all manner of things with an emphasis on technology. The quality of the videos are extremely good and the content to, with some unique insights into some of the companies he has been to visit. More importantly you certainly feel that Robert has made t
A most bizarre post from Robert Scoble about one of his stories on Intel not being linked by Engadget. Interesting insight into the mind of "A-List" bloggers. Seth Finkelstein's comment: "It must be very nice to be an A-lister. Then even your complaints about not getting enough attention get lots of attention."
I am pleased to announce that Robert Scoble will be the keynote speaker at PostieCon 07. The event will be held June 1&2 in downtown Orlando on Church Street at the newly renovated Ballroom. The cost to bloggers will be $200 and is an absolute bargain for all that will be included. The whole team has been working extremely hard to put this event together and we are delighted to have Robert on board. The theme of this event is "You're a Rockstar" and Scoble is certainly that. Scoble was recently voted #9 on Forbes top 25 Internet Celebrities list. Much like PayPerPost, Scoble has had his share of controversy and much like me he stands up for what he believes in. He has taken some shots at PayPerPost in the past, but has an open mind to our concept and has helped shape our direction in the past. It took incredible guts for him to agree to do this keynote and I applaud him for doing so.Bloggers are making a lot of assumptions about PostieCon so let's get some things straight. PostieC
