Cabbie to sell famous 'Schumi taxi' - "I need the money - I could be in big trouble with the police"
The cabbie made famous for relinquishing the drivers' seat of his taxi to Michael Schumacher is now considering offers to sell the Opel mini-van. Since the nine-seater made international headlines for getting a seven time world champion and his family to a German airport on time, it has doubled in value, the newspaper Bild am Sonntag claims. "More than ten people are interested in buying it," the taxi driver, Tuncer Yilmaz, confirmed. "One has offered 63,000 euros, and I need the money - because of the Schumi-Ride I could be in big trouble with the police," he confirmed. Coburg traffic authority chief Kai Holland confirmed to Bild newspaper that he will meet with Yilmaz, because the story appears to be "an offence against the Personnel Transport Act.' Schumacher, meanwhile, faces the prospect of a small fine. "It would be ridiculous to heavily punish the taxi driver after he kindly helped Michael. Wouldn't we all prefer to have helpful taxi drivers?" Schumacher's long-time mana

F1: Schumi to McLaren? or Sutil? It’s all got rather silly
Brits on Pole would just like confirm that neither of its editorial team will be signing with McLaren to partner Lewis Hamilton next season. And if you’re not either, then that makes three of us. The rest of the world, we’re not so sure about. Speculation about who’s on their way to Woking, fuelled by a total lack of hard facts, is starting to get a bit silly. Hamilton himself, speaking at a season-ending celebration for Mercedes, suggested Nico Rosberg, Adrian Sutil or Heikki Kovalainen. We were amused by Sutil’s manager’s optimism earlier this week when he said he hadn’t heard from McLaren: perhaps we spoke too soon. But it would be a tremendous leap of faith for Ron Dennis to try it - far greater than when Jaguar plucked Justin Wilson from Minardi on the basis of some good starts, which is the closest parallel we can think of. Williams, which has a vacancy that could very easily turn out to be Sutil-shaped, has come out fighting against a Rosberg

      Farewell M. Schumi
Well, Certainly this man is a great one in the history of Formula One, having beaten the long standing records of F1 history and rewriting so many of them. True, there might be some controversies in the way he won some of the races, but a win's a win.Anyway, Here we are, a few days before the last race of his career. Let's see his standings so far. He has to win the Brazilian Round and Alonso fail to score a single point. While this is a tough job, we can only hope Michael ends his career with a bang with the 8th Championship win. Here are the records for 2006 so far. This is truly a reason to be supporting the Reds.Go Ferrari. I ought to be wearing the Ferrari's Shirt during that race to show M.Schumi my support on his last race of the career. As of the 2006 Japanese Grand Prix, Michael Schumacher holds the following F1 records:Career Records: • Most championship titles: 7 • Most consecutive championship titles: 5 • Most race wins: 91 • Most consecutive race wins:

Schumi ponders Ferrari role and his reactions on Kimi
Retired Grand Prix driver Michael Schumacher says his new role at Ferrari is likely to remain vague for the time being. The 38-year-old is taking a reported $6m out of the Maranello based team's coffers in 2007 to be some sort of advisor or assistant aiding team boss Jean Todt and the driver lineup. On a visit this week to Dubai, Schumacher admitted, "It's not a very clear definition made to my role in Ferrari so far, simply for the fact that I don't want it to be. "They're happy enough to leave it up to me where I want to be involved and where not, so with time that will develop," he said. Schumacher was present for the launch and first test of Ferrari's new 'F2007' car, and he may also keep an eye out for rising driver talent. The great German also made a point of publicly backing his successor, Kimi Raikkonen, who has taken some criticism for falling short of some observers' expectations for the role as Ferrari number one. "I think there are only a few drivers on the marke

Webber: Schumi's shadow 'suffocating' for Kimi Raikkonen.
Mark Webber has questioned the logic behind Michael Schumacher's appearance in the Ferrari garage at a number of pre-season Formula One tests, likening it to "having your ex-girlfriend there".The straight-talking Aussie said he was glad he was not the man in Kimi Raikkonen's position at the Scuderia, claiming filling the seven-time world champion's boots was a task intimidating and arduous enough without having the German watching over your every move too. "We know Michael couldn't have raced until he was 60, but it's odd having him at the tests like he is," Webber said. "It's like having your ex-girlfriend there or something. Kimi must be there going "what the..?' It must feel so strange having the teacher's pet standing above you when you are trying to get on with your own new programme. Suffocating or what?"The 30-year-old did add, however, he believed the sport would be far more open and competitive now following Schumacher's departure, and would allow other drivers the

Kimi Raikkonen says Schumi not a distraction
Kimi Raikkonen has given pause to the concept that a new close collaboration with Michael Schumacher may charge Ferrari towards victory in 2007.The retired seven time world champion has stayed at the Italian squad as a sort of advisor this year, but Finn Raikkonen played down the relationship they are likely to share. "We never really spoke to each other in the past, because we were rivals," Raikkonen, 27, told the French sports newspaper L'Equipe. He added: "And now? I am not exactly sure what Michael does. If we have something to discuss with each other, we will discuss it, but I don't know. We'll see."Mark Webber said recently that he would not personally condone Schumacher's presence in his own driving garage, but Raikkonen denied that it bothers him."When you are in formula one, everyone is watching you, so whether Michael is there or not is not going to distract me."After Schumacher visited the Ferrari garage at Barcelona this week, Raikkonen added: "It was nice that he was
