What do these have in common – used car salesperson, energy trader for Enron and ticket scalper? The answer is all three are looked down upon by our peers and society. The used car salesperson has to fight the stereotype that they are always trying to sell someone a lemon. The energy trader was once viewed with respect, but now the secret is out that they did their part to de-rail parts of the ec
Scalpers… never heard about them? I’m not surprised...because scalpers are a new breed of traders. The leading principle behind scalping is that smaller price movements are easier to catch than large ones. And the movement is said to usually be of the following nature: a price movement goes in the trader direction for a while before it goes in its trend direction! So what do scalpers actua

Automated trading daily - has the image of low risk and high profits as forex robots are plugged in and profits come with low risk and big long term gains. - But is this possible lets look at how an automated trading day and high profit day and see if its reality. There are numerous forex robots that promise you that you can make big gains with low risk and you don't need any experience either - just plug in and the profits come and they even show you fantastic track records to back up their claims - but there's a problem. See a track record of gains in day trading and you will see this warning at the bottom take a read: "CFTC RULE 4.41 - Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain limitations. Scalping can mean different things to different traders, but I personally take scalping to mean very short-term trading, ie trades generally last just a few minutes and no longer than about an hour at most. Most of my trades last longer than this, but saying that I do still dabble in very short-term trades occasionally and generally do okay, although it is slightly more stressful and you do need quick fingers at times. However, what I've noticed is that there is definitely one period of the day that is a lot more predictable, and therefore profitable, and that is the start of the London trading session between 8.00 and 9.00 UK time.I first noticed this when trading the FTSE because having always made pretty good profits trading this index between 8.00 and 9.00, I also noticed that the major
One of the new terms in forex trading is "Scalping", which refers to the practice of opening and closing a position within few seconds. If the trader does it right, scalping reduces exposure risk, even though it is done at higher rates of leverages.Basically, forex scalping method is based on an assumption that most of the process will complete first stage of a movement which is that price will move in the desired direction for a brief time, but where it goes from there is uncertain. The brief amount of market exposure and the frequency of small moves are key factors behind the popularity of the forex scalping strategy.Forex trader may even achieve positive results by winning only half or even less of his or her trades, if the profitable trades are bigger than the losers. The biggest myth of forex day trading systems is they are a low risk way to make profits the reality is there odds on to lose you all your equity - lets look at the evidence that shows this. When you see a forex day trader who claims to have made money longer term check the small print and look at the disclaimer. You will normally see one like the one we have printed below, or a very similar one which, just means the track record has been made up and the system has never been traded - here it is: "CFTC RULE 4.41 - Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not been executed, the results may have under-or-over compensated for the impact, if any,

Forex scalping systems are promoted as a way to make a regular income and build huge profits but none of them deliver profits - why? One simple reason and its enclosed in this article. Forex scalping - "earn 300 per day", "predict tops and bottoms with pinpoint accuracy", "earn 5,000 a month" etc Those headlines always make me laugh and you always see a graph that goes up and up but of course when you invest your Investment goes down and you get wiped out. Lets look at first at these track records and why forex scalping systems can never work due to the logic their based on. Any forex day trading or scalping track record will carry a disclaimer which will be or similar to the following one: "CFTC RULE 4.41 - Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain limitations. Forex scalping requires a completely different mindset to other forms of day trading. Those who engage in Forex scalping normally make a number of trades a day taking somewhere between 5 to 10 pips from the market each time in many cases. Of course, the more trades that are made, the higher probability the scalper will have losses.Hence the need to exercise discipline and not shoot at everything that moves. Look for only high probability trades. This however is easier said than done. That is why the following piece of information is critical in understanding market behavior from a Forex scalping point of view.A Crucial Piece Of InformationThe crucial piece of information we are referring to is this:Somewhere between 60 - 80% of the time, the market is in consolidation. This means that most
Forex scalpers rely on trading regularly they don’t aim for big profits they aim for consistent small gains that mount up over time and aim for large annual profits with this method of trading. Forex scalping is popular so read on for the facts.Firstly lets make it clear now it doesn’t work never has and never will.Don’t believe me? Then read on and I will give you ALL the facts.Fact: Short Term Volatility is RandomYou have millions of traders who trade trillions of dollars and to say you can measure what is going to happen in a few hours is ridiculous. You cannot predict what this diverse mass of people are going to do and it’s never been possible. All short term volatility is random and prices can and do go anywhere in short periods – support and resistance levels are meaningles
The ability to master most of the times frames including major and minors such as Monthly, Weekly, Daily, 4 Hourly, 1 Hourly, 30 Minutes, 15 Minutes, and 15 Minutes are very important to scalpers. The lack of understanding for most of the time frames will only bring a temporary success to a certain time frames and fail on the rest of it.The understanding of time frame is not an easy task as each of them show different degree of movement and different patterns. It also represent the length of time how long should you stand a position there before making an exit for example 5 minutes time frame usually takes 10 to 15 minutes for you to hold before making an exit. So your adventure of understanding the time frame make you another task that takes months or a year to study. However the rewards of understanding will certainly put your a step further to become a successful scalper. What then could be the reasons we need to understand most of the time frames? Well!! because we want to be precis
Scalping is a trading style specializing in taking profits on small price changes, generally soon after a trade has been entered and has become profitable. It requires a trader to have a strict exit strategy because one large loss could eliminate the many small gains that the trader has worked to obtain. A scalper intends to take as many small profits as possible, not allowing them to evaporate. Such an approach is the opposite of the "let your profits run" mindset, which attempts to optimize positive trading results by increasing the size of winning trades while letting oth
Now you can read a new Forex article on my site - Scalping The Forex Market For Profits Every Day (by Dean Sauders). As you can guess from its title it is about scalping. This article offers an interesting scalping strategy based on the big amount of Weighted Moving Average. Basically, it is a support and resistance system traded on M1 charts with 24 different levels. Today in Wolverhampton Racecourse I traded Tugalu horse and made EUR53. The odds didn't drift nor steam but rather hovered around 4.50. Yet, there were some nice scalping opportunities which could be exploited in order to make money before the horse race even went off! Here's the video capture of my trading moves made with Bet Angel Professional (http://www.betangel.com/cmd.php?af=484230):

“If you can’t beat them, join them” seems to be the new motto for Major League Baseball.
Ticket scalping or brokering (depending on how softly you want to put it) has been a huge underground business for years. With the internet, it became even easier to buy/sell tickets on the secondary market.
Major League Baseball is now getting in on the act with StubHub.

Just finished a recording showing how to scalp the fixed odds of Betfair's horse racing markets. While trading and scalping is often considered the same thing, this is quite a mistake since there are some major differences between them.
The following video shows how to profit by scalping the odds when they are not actually moving a lot. This is done with Bet Angel Pro (http://www.betangel.com/cmd.php?af=484230) as always.

I continued my scalping today and I seemed to have come out ahead again. Maybe I am on to something here. When I was trying dummy trading I tried to stick to my stops and and follow the rules but ended up I get stopped quite often. My ability to wait and pick the best setups was weak. It was painful to wait for an hour or more for a setup and lose money on it. By scalping I feel I am able to trade freely again. I would be in trades and if it stalls I get out quickly. I am able to handle my losers better because most were between 1-5 cents. If I am right I get to make 10-20 cents which is a decent risk/reward ratio. I only have to keep my discipline in check and make sure I don't hold on to a loser for over 20 cents. +26525800 shares
What really makes me chuckle about this whole thing is the way the Democrats are so offended (they live to be offended) when one of their own, such as Amanda Marrcotte or Melissa McEwan, gets scalped when they are the ones that really started this trend. My experience is that conservatives tend to have much thicker skin and as I said above liberals live to be offended. I guess they think it gives them them the moral high ground os some such nonsense. But I totally agree with the writer that everyone should get thicker skin and quit being such whiney bitches about the slightest mis-step. ~RJH Beltway Blogroll article link 'Scalping' Standards For The Blogosphere? To all those scalping skeptics around, these are my thoughts:You're very right about scalping strategies - nobody should only scalp. Scalping is risky.Scalping is dangerous and it could indeed lead to big losses or even margin calls. But when using low leverage, when only approaching high probability patterns and when tight and rigid stop losses are used, scalping is great for the trader's mind. You get a feeling of how the price is moving when studying these short term trends + you get the benefit of training the brain to impose and respect very strict money management and system rules. This is what scalping does for me - it keeps my mind in shape, and it helps me remind how important the psychological factor is when trading longer timeframes and bigger position sizes.Scalping doesn't earn a living. It just keeps me in shape
A forum thread and some emails I exchanged with a reader of the blog made me get more into writing about scalping in forex.Scalping is risky. What scalping does for me is to keep my mind in shape and help me remind of how important the psychological factor is when trading longer timeframes and bigger position sizes with, of course, other systems.Scalping doesn't earn a living. It just keeps me in shape :)Here are some tips if you just started scalping.Watch the chart as much as you can. Get used to how the market is moving. If you can, correlate market movements with the time of the day. Each trading session move the prices in a different way. Find the best time interval for you and start knowing it. Start feeling the market. You can do this, really.Always check the bigger time frames before opening any position. Find out what the big trend is and trade it. Find out where support and resistance lines are. Be aware of them - they might help you or they might be your enemy, depends only

Scalping the forex market is something that all new traders aspire to do. It is however not easy and requires allot of concentration and discipline.
