Happy Saturday~ This Saturdays favorite movie moment is from the hilarious film, Turner And Hooch. Turner and Hooch hit theaters in 1989 starring Tom Hanks, Hooch, and Mare Winningham. Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel.  This one does not have an adress and was built in the 1920's.  It is located on the grounds of Fort Snelling. Fort Snelling, built in the 1820's, where the Mississippi and Minnesota rivers meet. 

This almost didn’t come to reality, but thanks to having luck on my side (and about 20% of the universe conspiring to make sure an exam got rescheduled), I was able to go to a debate show taping on NBN (that’s the channel formerly called PTV 4). We taped for two episodes of the weekly debate show Youth Voice hosted by Atty. I’m-sorry-Sir-I-can’t-recall-your-name and Ms. Angelique Lazo. Monday was a holiday, but six school children decided to get out of bed to debate using a format they are not familiar with on topics that really concern a lot of people. The show’s purpose is not to see who the better debaters are. It’s more of a forum wherein all arguments for both sides of an issue is considering. Due to this, there was no decision issued for any of the debates. In the end, it’s the people who win because they get to learn new perspective to an issue thanks to six very able debaters from UP Manila and De Lasalle Univeristy.   The two deba

It's not even close!August is the month with the worst attendance. The whole program grinds to a near halt before shifting into high gear in September. It does give me time to prepare but I look forward to full classes in September.Meanwhile...I'm lucky I grew up in America!! The children's ( especially J.H. and H.S. students ) summer "vacation" is not really a "vacation" at all. They are VERY busy. I used to wake up at 11:00am and eat cereal for lunch before playing baseball or riding my Honda in the woods. Some of my best memories are from my summer vacations. The Virginia Street Swedenborgian Church, located on the corner of Selby Avneune and Virginia Street.  Also  knows around here as the Virginia Street Church. Built in 1886, the church was designed by Cass Gilbert, the famous architect of the Minnesota State Capitol building, other local churches, and the Supreme Court Building in Washington, D.C.  The church building is included in the Minnesota Historical Society's Inventory of Historical Properties.

Saturdays hunt was a good one although I heard not a single gobble! I heard a couple of gun shots in areas around me but I have no idea where the turkeys where. The weather was excellent and slightly overcast. I saw four or five deer over the course of 5 hours. I had the opportunity to explore the area very well and I found some great areas for deer season and I am looking forward to the fall and getting my stands set.While exploring I found that in less then two weeks the life of spring is sprung up all around. Only a few minutes before Feb 11. But I still have no plans on neglecting my blogathon duties despite such a busy day. Sigh. I had to cut my NSTP class for today because of a very important family affair that I had to attend. It was scheduled weeks before so I couldn’t just not go. It was nice seeing family friends after a long time. Basically, that event took up the entire morning and early afternoon. Upon arriving home, I just had to catch up with more of my series. I just finished watching the new Grey’s, which was kind of a shocker for me. I watched two episodes of Smallville both of which are just really good. Lastly, I watched the recent One Tree Hill episode, leaving me all emotional at the end. Shucks. By this hour, I just finished downloading The OC and I’m thinking of watching it in awhile. After my series marathon, I headed to my friend Jam and her boyfriend, Ben’s birthday celebration. I had time to catch up with my friends once again, especially
