Just around the corner is the local soccer club NEC whose colours are black, green and red. Every time I go through the park and they are practicing or playing it reminds me of my soccer days. The U.S. Women's Soccer Team advanced to the semi-finals of the FIFA Women's World Cup earlier this morning with a 3 goal effort in the second half on route to a 3-0 victory over England.Abby Wambach, Shannon Boxx & Kristine Lilly scored the goals in a great 12 minute span to put the game away. The U.S. will take on the winner of Brazil vs Australia in the semi's.Meanwhile in France, the Springboks must have felt pretty confident they could beat Tonga, so confident in fact that Jake White decided to start his reserves.
